GT\Simulation mode was always the pinnacle of the GT experience

I think KAz and PD might be tripping on us still because they're saying most gamers are playing multiple games, but if i have GT it hardly leaves my disc drive and when i play its for a few hours at a time

I think they might have gotten those statistics from random surveys, but they should survey US the GT PEOPLE cuz maybe they are getting it totally backwards about making GT mode "playable for the 20 minute user" making it "too easy" or too simple will take away from the longevity and re-playability.

The "GT People" are a very small portion of game sales. This is something people here fail to realize. Most people aren't as into sim racing as most of the members here are. Unfortunately that means they have to make sure to appeal to the larger audience.

Overstood but, the GT people play their game in a different fashion than most, its a game that's proven to be years worth of gameplay value, if they had for instance a longer version of Sunday cup, mini championships and what not, thats cool as long as they ADD it and not Replace other tournies with these instant-rice races.
 
There is a trend for making the game very easy, they updated GT5p so that you got much more prize money for the various finishing positions.
 
Which was okay because there was no race to earn a lot of money.
On the other hand, in GT2, i could come to a race to win a huge amount of money in ~3-4 hours too.

I'm all for more dough dont get me wrong i felt the money in Prologue to be too little, i was racing online just because of the pay off.

In GT2 i think in the Tuned Car cup you can do a 3 lap race get 50g and a NSX Castrol to chop for 250g's. A loop like this is needed if you want to keep hopes of buying LMS cars or tuning your existing collection without waiting 900 days.

I'm talkin about shorter races with more rewards, im talkin about spoiling us, GT is meant to be "hard" because it gives much satisfaction when you do get all golds or 85+% win ratio.
 
I just wish there are the DTM championship, like other GT's, so i can earn easy money with the B-spec mode (and the CLK-GTR prize!):dopey:
 
Im guessing they've just upped the prize money to make it so you earn money quicker. I HOPE!!

By the way, who the heck plays Gran Turismo for only 20 mins? come on now.. I play it for a few hours at a time.

I just think the same, i remeber in GT4 you can sold the CLK-GTR for 800k or something, i wonder if had the same prize?
 
To be frank, I dislike B spec mode, it don't add nothing to the GT experience, every member that mention the option to save the endurance race progress will have my total and unconditional agreement, because this is the ONLY weak point in GT4, play 24 hours the same race, or switch to B spec (0% fun), it's hazardous to your health if you play this time straight, and it's hazardous to your reputation if you play in the B Spec....:ouch:

Yeah I've always wondered about that being a hazard to your health. If I'm honest I could live without 24hr races in GT. I mean 4 hrs or even 8 hrs is fine but, 24.. yeah bit much. Id rather leave the game unfinished than risk damaging my brain and my eye sight.

How you can say that single player IS NOT important!!!!! I don”t play game online because I can see my rivals, if I play game in multiplayer then I use splitscreen or lan play. For me GTmode is most important part of Gran turismo and SOUl of game!!!!!

That wasn't even the most profitable either. The GT All Stars race the Red Rock Valley, 5 laps on a high speed track and you get a TVR Speed 12 that you can sell for 500k + the 50k prize credits.

I don't really want big loophole races like that, the CLK-GTR in GT4 wasn't as bad it was just exploited because you could speed up the b-spec and win it in 20 mins that way. The real races to exploit in GT4 were the easy rally I think at Amalfi where you won the Toyota RSC Rally car that you could sell for quite a bit and you could do that race fairly early on. 2 races, both 2 or 3 laps only and you have a car worth a couple of hundered thousand.

That was the race i meant in my other post.
If you reached that race, you never had any money problem again.

Good looking out bro now i can get my GTone!

That Toyota RSC made GT4 collecting much much easier, one thing i noticed about 5P is that when you win a prize car, that's it, no more car second time around(correct me if i dont remember its been a while since i flipped the PS3). So i gotta feeling that will be implemented in the big one.

👍, but to me there's nothing wrong with the 24h races if you can save the race progress and turn off the PS3 without starting all over, since you can stop and make some non-essential things like, eat or sleep....

In fact, a 8h race is already testing your skills in focus and attention, a 24h race is just for masochistic players who wish to test the human limits.

After 5 hours of GT, my eyes are burning like hell and I'm crying like a baby, because of that, I've played just about 10 hours of the Nurburgring 24h endurance, the other fourteen hours were spent by the AI (B-Spec..:yuck:)

I really only play GT5P for 20 minutes, just because there is honestly nothing to the game
 
Yeah, I'm guessing that we'll just be getting more prize money than we're used to. If someone just wants to do some quick racing, that's what Arcade mode is for.

Except I do. I love cars of all kinds, but the limited selection of cars in GT5P has me at a point where I get bored, easily.

In GT4 it was endless. Even if I played it for a month (2 years after it was released) I would play for awhile, and put it down again, get interested in something else, and pick it up again. GT5P is very limited.

If I could modify the cars I wanted, then it would be a different story, but for now I'm kind of over it. The track selection is kills it too. 5 tracks are great but there's only so much I can do, not to mention I can't tune my cars in time trials? Weak.

I LOVE racing games, and in fact GT5 is the only reason I bought my PS3. It's just I want more diversity in the game. I have used up all I could do in GT5P and I'm over it for now.

B.O.T. B-Spec was a life saver at times when i could barely keep my eyes open but couldnt sleep knowing i had something to finish.

ahahah nah its ok, i had my chance stay in NY or SF with family or MTL , i stay in MTL, mucho peaceful, nicer "greenery" and i can walk anywhere i want anytime, ill take the cold in exchange :lol:

Being English i have no idea what the culture of American abbreviations is on about. There is USA yes? We have UK. Everything else has to be named.
 
MN is just within the US, like FL and CA and such.

I never really understand all of Europe and where everything is. And Great Britian/United Kingdom? Why two different names? It always confused me.


However, GT5 related.. Looking at these pictures of Ferrari's makes me realize how great this game is going to be.. How much money I'm going to save and how many Ferrari's, among other cars I am going to buy, and actually enjoy.
