What the hell?
Check out the pics.

I guess the "Master Collection" just means you win a PS3 with the game and the DFGT and you will get it when its out. I find competitions like that just a bit strange when the release is stil so far away.

I find it strange too. "Congratulations! You win a game when it comes out in...oh, I dunno....5 months?"

But I agree, the pictures seem to indicate that the "master collection" includes (with... the trophy and the helmet):

Copy pasta'd from official GT forum
Can anyone confirm what that user posted on the official PlayStation forums? How long has that particular issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK been on store shelves? If the next issue is coming out on November 24th (one week from today), Yamauchi's confirmation that the weather system is "done" has been around for quite some time and I'm surprised no one else has really picked up on that yet.

Can we just call this game Gt6 because of the delays and long development time? My goodness whats the point of this news about he is racing, we just want news about the game, not his life.

Yea right, since when was it delayed? GT didn't say a specific date for the US release FYI. :indiff:

Hey Jordan. I'm calvins48 and I posted that original post about the OMP Kaz interview. I get the mag every month and I'm a regular over at the GT forums on the PS forums. I intend to pick up the mag on the 24th (I live in the UK) and Forgetful PM'd me to go over to these forums and check out what you wrote. :)

^ Out all those stuff, I'd take that 'copy' of GT5 and that sweet helmet (make mine XL please). :indiff:

BT-> Wow, the GTPSP fan base is quite strong in JDM-land. I honestly did not expect that. :)

I'll take GT5 and the girls, you can give the rest to someone else.

Thanks, guys. Calvins, how long have you had that copy of the magazine? I'm just surprised that nobody else has mentioned Yamauchi's comments on the weather system before now.

I had, though it was in an earlier interview, I think at the Tokyo Motor Show. I think it was the same interview in a web version, because I remember Kazunori got a little testy about the DLC issue then too. But what stuck out to me was Kaz mentioning that the weather system was technically finished, and it ran with no performance issues. Implementing it was just a matter of "whether it would contribute properly to the racing experience," something like that. He said something similar to the question of daytime transitions. I'm hoping that means it will work with most of those 16 cars on track, if not all of them.

I was surprised too, because a few members had been hot n bothered for weather to be included, and it was like no one caught it.

I still wonder how weather can be badly implemented into GT5. Assuming GT5 uses the day counter, (as had previous GT titles), they can program the weather with the locations and have it shift every so often.

That's just one way I thought of, and I'm no game creator. Weather would probably be the best advancement we've seen in a GT game!

I guess it would be easier to make it occur on all the same days, but I think random for everyone would be the best choice

Well, I don't mean that everyone would have their own unique weather patterns, but that would be cool.

What I mean is that on day 6 at the Ring, it will rain. It will rain even if you don't do that race on that day (day 6).
And so then on day 7, it will be sunny on The Ring. In that instance, though, it may be possible to skip all the rainy days at The Ring (if somehow, by chance, you skipped all the rainy days that PD pre-programmed!)

To further elaborate on this, if there were a 'forecast' for certain regions you could check, when it's goign to rain, and when it's not. That might be a bit much, but by using that PD could have temperature effects on cars, to go with that forecast

With Prologue's forecasts at the main menu, it seems likely that weather will be an important factor on race day in the full game. I think GT5 will sport some sort of icon that allows you to see current conditions on the tracks.

I don't think live weather would work real well for GT5. The green hell would be even worse when it's turned into the white hell. I think random weather would be the best.

I'm with Aleksandar. I enjoyed GT4's GT Mode very much. Somehow, it seems more like a career mode than Forza's.

I would beg to differ. I honestly enjoyed FM3 take on a 'career' which is more career like, rather than, I'll go to these events in GT4. Of course it wasn't perfect, but the drag racing events really did it for me, and the posters for each event were cool.
