How does that work? Is it like Coffee Break to the extreme?

GT4 had that Gymkhana with some cones forming a spiral and another line for slalom (sp?), but don't remember they triggering any events, it was just there. I think Enthusia had a more active Gymkhana where you needed to drift around on a set line between a bunch of cones to score points.

How does that airfield work on Forza III?

Gymkhana are very cool, i'm sure a lot of great drifters here form GTPlanet will make amazing videos and posting it directly from the game.

I'm starting to get the handle of drift in GT5P and i can do 10,000 points or more (not always, but i can), in the TT drift with the both Nissan's was very hard, but i don't know if all the ads was off.

Anyway, my 80gb PS3 has gonne to hell, now i'm think in buy a Bundle of GT5, but only if my uncle buy it for me in Portugal and bring it for me in the end of year here in Brazil.

There is a bug in miuras cockpit. If you look at the first video on moza you will see that rpm meter, once is on 10000 rpm it doesn't drop when the gears are changed :-)

Well spotted, I hope it's a bug that will be fixed and not accurately replicated with the car being an old Italian prototype.......
I just realised that since it's the prototype version instead of the production one it will come in only one colour ( the one of the actual prototype ), there goes my dream of having the Miura in multiple colours and the fact I will see multiple Miura's online all being essentially the same car ( just like the XJ13 and perhaps the other classic racecars ).
At least it's a nice colour, one of which I would've chosen myself for the production version.

I also noticed the tachometer bug on the Miura. I'm hoping that's just a demo bug and it's fixed for the full version.

Re rev counter, I have a 1973 Formula Ford and rev counters were like that back then. They flutter and stick and generally misbehave. Hell even my temperature guage goes to 160 degrees C when I go around left handers.

I took this with my Blackberry so the quality is bad :( Hopefully this gives you an idea of how the cars would look in the final build

I'm always thinking of "Help PD - GT bugs" thread! 👍
Yeah...same here. I was thinking about a Bugs and Glitches thread post-release where we keep adding to it and I (or whoever created it) would keep servicing it.

I was also thinking about a thread for changes/additions/bad design choices/disappointments etc... and servicing it.

Both would need to be properly structured and organised. For instance if a bug or glitch is seen it would need to be explained and, if possible, caught on camera.

I just uploaded brand new footage from GT5 in 3D at the IFA in Berlin from today!

All aids off, NASCAR @ Nordschleife! Sadly, not very long. But the sound is quite good!
Really awesome, very challenging physics. BIG improvement.

EDIT: Damn, I just realised it's not the whole frame, just a crop of the video. I'll check out what I can do!

EDIT2: Ok, the raw video is uploading now. But It'll take some time, it's more than 800MB.

omfg IT IS real time deformation !!!

I can't believe it , i thought he (Kaz) was just saying his damage will be better then anyone else but here it is. If this lambo is that badly damaged so how far damage will go with nascar or wrc models...

I know what you mean, they don't move as fluently and accurately as modern rev counters but they do move eventually when changing gears which the Miura in the Monza video didn't do when upshifting so I think it's a slight bug.

I've commented on this in another thread.. but I will again. That Damage on that Lambo looks effing hefty doesn't it!? I mean seriously.. We haven't yet seen damage to that extent. See PD are so sneaky and love to surprise us and tease us. I'm sorry but I have to be honest PD remind me of my ex girlfriend during "bed" time - Such a tease but you love it.

hahaha Yeah the damage on production cars was fantastic 👍 but for some reason it looked very weird on the nascar car. For example, the front of the car will get deformed in REAL TIME but at the end it looked as if the car was made out of plastic and it melted....It is kind of hard for me to explain this but let's just say I wasn't as pleased with the nascar CAR look after a few crashes:scared:

Has demo mechanical damage?
And are you uploading this footage?

Yes it did 👍 but unfortunately I didn't have a camera at the moment so I couldn't capture any footage. Maybe I'll try to go back some other day (not today because is my birthday :dunce:) haha but maybe in a couple days!

EDIT: And I'm not 100% sure on this but the headlights appeared shattered when I was playing the demo ( after 2 collisions against the wall at approx. 140 mph)

How much effort did it take to create the damage in the Lambo pics above?

Surprisingly not a lot of effort! The damage here seemed to be more "sensitive" plus It took me about 2 head on collisions against the barrier at approx 140 mph to get it to look like that :)
EDIT: And after 1 more crash the lambo "emblem" dissapeared!!! maybe fell to the ground or something

Seems like there are different demo versions floating around. Someone complained about there being no damage when he tried it

after playing the gt5 demo at Roosevelt Field mall SONY STYLE in Long Island NY, i have to say that I am not impressed at all. There are many reasons to it that i wasn't really impressed at all. The screen was very small (20 inch or so) and it was just so blurry and NO SOUND. Also I am just not sold on the physics. I was playing Professional physics with Traction Control set to 1 and it was just a breeze with the controller. No oversteering, no damage, no losing control even I was pushing the car so hard to spin out that i even felt is was standard physics. Maybe it was so because i was using R3 tires since i thought it would be hard on controllers. I think PD changed some setting when playing with controllers so that it would be easier and plausible for pro physics. I should have shot some pictures or video but didn't have it at the moment. if you live in nyc or long island, go to sony style and check out. It is on the right side of the store where they have ps3s games at. I tried to check if they had it in the gaming room but it wasn't installed for the 40s and 50 inch lcd tv ps3s. any questions let me know.

It appears that way... Someone mentioned yesterday that there was no damage in his demo. But I can assure you it was real time damage and smudges. Sadly, for some reason the damage was not shown during the replays! (at least for the ferrari 458 Italia) The car looked in perfect condition while i was crashing against other cars
