That was terrible.
...and of course fake.
Gymkhana and Auto X style courses.
It appears that way... Someone mentioned yesterday that there was no damage in his demo. But I can assure you it was real time damage and smudges. Sadly, for some reason the damage was not shown during the replays! (at least for the ferrari 458 Italia) The car looked in perfect condition while i was crashing against other cars

I took this with my Blackberry so the quality is badHopefully this gives you an idea of how the cars would look in the final build
My first youtube video. Sorry for the quality.
Someone fix the youtube link please.
Fixed hopefully.
Hmm... IIRC the car is made of CF right? If so do you think they accurately portrayed the characteristic of the material here i.e. it crumples and doesn't dent?
Hey Asane, which Best Buy did you go to?
2nd youtube video of the Citroen. This is one is standard physics with no aids.

@Asane
SolidSnakeX pointed out what appears to be... busted headlights!
Can you confirm?
I have to admit... It did look extremely fake. I just saw it on N4G and thought it was worth mentioning
Alrite here's the batch of photos. I was trying to show the extent of the damage that I could do within the 2 minutes. I can tell you guys that the damage is real time and it's not always the same each time. It really does matter where you get hit and how hard you got hit.
I apologize for them being blurry.

dear god! good bloody job! that is fantastic, finally someone that knows how to mangle up cars. It's incredibly frustrating to watch the people that try to damage it at teh conferences, they don't even know how to crash a car properly. someone needs to go backwards on the ring gun on straight as soon as the cars are about to reach the straight. Yank the handbrake crash head on, do what you need. I want to see a big pile up hahaha Did you get photos of the enzo?
I don't want to get anybody's hopes up! I'm just here to post the photos and you guys make what you want of it. Heck I'm not even sure how I damaged the Ferrari that much. If I remember correctly, I ran head on to a few cars on the track. Also, you guys they improved the AI. They actually slowed down and tried to swerve and could've avoided me if it wasn't for my maniacal ways of driving.
I'm not actually sure what did happen to it. I was just as surprised as you when I was playing and I saw this kind of damage.
Another look at it though this pic is really blurry.

I really hope your insurance company isn't reading this as you seem to be somewhat of an expert.![]()

Is the the second gauge to the right of the tachometer an oil pressure gauge ?
It's moving!
The rims do appear to be bent, but it could simply an artifact of image blur.wtf tires are clearly bended..
Well, hold on, damage is really great by GT standards, however it could be better, more realistic. It might get graphically improved (for example less clipping, more damage details on bumpers, hood, etc), but cars won't probably visually get any more damaged than this (see crash tests or wreckedexotics.com to understand what I mean) due to legal reasons.THE QUESTION IS : Is this final damage ?
Ifthey menage to improve that this will be big. Probably best damage model in all racing games... Especialy because they modeled insides of cars..
that was my biggest gripe when they first released these damage videos, no one knew how to crash a car. I mean how hard can it be. You give it to a couple of people on teh forums here and look what they can do easily. This damage looks 10x better than what was shown at the conferences. I was a bit worried but at the same time I still had a lot of faith in Kaz, and in Kaz I believe =)
