Yepp!Codemasters did an excellaent job with the weather effects but we need to know if F2010 is really a simulation racing game or another Codemasters arcade product like Dirct and Grid!!

It looks much better, but it's not impossibly hard so your not gunna spin out too easily and you can get away with alot. But hooking up the lap properly can make you gain tons of time.

So it's not frustrating, but for people who want to try then it is rewarding to drive well.

PS there is an F1 2010 section now.

Those smudges or whatever on the Gallardo look horrid. That's one thing I don't like about games when they do damage, is that it's so hard to get stuff like that right.

So there was back in the '60s a choice between an auto and manual transmission for the Cougar? If yes then I guess that PD modeled the manual version. In GT4 however there were many cars that surely had an automatic transmission in real life, but that in the game worked like a manual (no torque converter simulation, gear shifts engaged a clutch, etc).
All the muscle cars back in the 60's had a 4-speed manual option as far as I know. :dunce:

Did you notice the right side of the car looked black from so much destruction? I think the damage looked pretty good imo. It wasn't overly done with busted out windows and dents to the pillars.

But one thing I bet is clear is that chase cam is going to be static and you won't be able to pan around the car while driving. IMO.

How would 'smudges' look? A smudge isn't when you run into the wall. The barriers are made of metal. So scratches or dents or deformation and discoloration is much more accurate than a 'smudge'. No damage I've seen is perfect but it's looking a bit better and better. I don't feel this is the final damage model. A few dents and deformation is not what PD has promised. Maybe TGS will show those roll overs shown in videos at E3.

I just want to see scratches, deformation, dislocated bumpers, and "smugdes" in one demo. We've seen them all by themselves but still haven't seen them all together.

That is ridiculously awesome. What game is this? Must have.

Test Drive Unlimited, PC version, with my sound mod and someone's car mod(there's a fair share of cars in the original, but guys in the community have made basically any car you can think of, including that GT-R, and some you can't;)) as a mod. It is played(in the vid) with a MOMO steering wheel in game's HC mode(sim mode which you unlock and exists only in PC version as far as I know)...hope that has been helpful.

I doubt that was what Sele1981 was implying. Shame on you.
Sorry, but I'm not the least bit ashamed. I'm amused by the freedom of speech that obviously do not occur in other countries. No, I'm not saying I can say anything I want, but getting the least bit upset about a silly joke such as the one I threw off is just ridiculous.

Exactly where is he implying that?
If you didn't notice the video was russian, so I thought I'd throw off a silly joke.

Oh damn it's PC :(

Mine can barely handle internet explorer let alone a game like that.

People can easely interpret things wrong on the internet. Happens alot. It's the "" that made it look like you were really annoyed about his comment. Now, if you used a ":D" or something, then it would be clear that you were joking. :)

:grumpy:
You'd better never say this. Its a really bad joke.

Anyway that's good that is a demo in Moscow, I'll go there on 1st October!

It is? My russian friends told me they were born with bottles of vodka in their hands.
Lighten up, nothing was meant by it. It was a joke. This same thing was said to an Irish lad and he had a chuckle about it.

I know that it's joke - I've said that its bad joke, that only showed that man don't know what he saying about, nothing more. He'd better know how many Russian programmers working in Silicon Valley.

Achtung!
Closed GT5 preview in Russia shows new build, I believe:

the interior pic looks phenomenal, i honestly thought it was real but I don't think this is new either. One being no skidmarks and two there's not a lot of grass or dirt being kicked up. I don't know it might just be me

i swear i saw this car like a month ago in toronto...seems as though i've been seeing cars on the road before they are actually released. Probably journalist driving them. I saw new 5 when it was out and the fiesta..pretty cool 👍

I came up with my own speaking of the next big franchise...all this hate, love, waiting and wishes we all have for GT5.

I feel like I need to say it here because I can't post it anywhere else but the biggest thread in the GT5 section.

"We must not forget what Gran Turismo really is(the music, the style, the racing etc.).... for those memories with GT1, GT2, GT3, and GT4 which have made us very happy in the last years. Let us hope what GT5 has for us!"

What's about Rewind implementation in GT5!was it be really confirmed by Mr.kaz?
(I hate it)

i would like rewind in replays not in game play. I hope you can super slow-mo the replays. That would definitely help us in creating some dramatic videos

What you think PD will gain for not releasing this demo on PSN and just on some locations in US? I personally do not need demo as knew 6 years ago that i will buy GT5.

They won't gain anything. I don't think the demos in the stores will attract new customers, people who don't have a ps3 or those who didn't consider GT5 before.

More sold copies of GT5 Prologue? I don't know, even though it's old and platinum, potential new GT5 customers are likely to pick it up. The average players who try the GT5 demo at Best Buy and want more are likely to go home and look for the demo on PSN (if they have a PS3 of course). There they'll find Prologue with a fair price tag and they may not notice the difference. Chances are also that they'll see a physical copy of Prologue in the store and buy it impulsively and those who hear about GT5 from another source may also buy Prologue when searching for a demo. Then there are the ones who would download a PSN demo because it's free and may end up buying GT5. I don't know what's best for Sony.

The main problem with GT5P is that it doens't represent GT5's improvements.

Can someone confirm, maybe one of the guys who has seen this event live?
Sorry, I've only discovered this video on local forum. They only implied that 3D sort of "softens" the image, and aliasing becomes less noticeable, which I totally agree with.

Well, he's russian, right?
You got the point :D
Well, Sweden are not without sin, too - just ask Peter Tagtgren about it =)
