There are around 29 car modelers. PD likes to keep a relatively small team(at least by today standards) and do not outsource any of their development.

29? I wonder why they only managed to do about 200 premiums then unless they spend more than 6 months on each car.

In the beginning of game development there is a planning stage, so no cars were modeled during that stage. Also, some modelers likely had to put some time into doing some work for GTPSP.

It would work but only for those cars that previously had racing mods. I don;t see PD wasting time and making new race mods for cars that previously didn't have them.

Why wouldn't they if it is an included customization feature in the game and they had the ability (time, resources, and talent). Considering that the icon looks very similar to the stealth car livery, it is possible that is what racing mods will be.

Also, I'm not sure why a racing mod wouldn't be available for every car that is available to get aero kits, painted, weight reduction, and maybe engine tuning. That would really be all it is, a preset of those combined customization options. Think of it as doing everything available in that GT Auto screen and then turning the knob to 11 for that last extra kick.

So...American is getting the game first, huh? That's new. But the rumor of a universal launch date is close. Region 1 on Nov. 2 and Regions 2 and 3 on the following day. It'll be a short enough period that nothing all that major will be revealed before the other regions get their hands on it. Look for the full car and track list a week before launch. That's about the time they revealed the GT4 and GTPSP car and track lists. Can't wait to see what 1000+ cars made the cut as well as see what playgrounds are in. :P

After seeing this weeks game footage, I'M SO GLAD THEY DELAYED THE GAME. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE VIDEOS AND THE TGS 09 VIDEOS IS MMMMAAAAASSSSIIIIVVVEEE

Practice option, right between B-spec and GT Auto/Tuning Shop

... I totally missed that narrow strip. That's what I get for staying up late to help people with their projects. *yawn* Thanks for the heads-up.

Japan gets it the day after the US but take the time difference into account and Japan only gets it like 10 hours after the US.

I'm not. I have been having a blast with it for the last year. It's a great game.

I sold my launch PSP way before that game came out. It was announced early in the PSP's life and then nothing else was heard about GTPSP development and I got tired of waiting.

And considering time differences and the international date line's location, all games will be out in less than 24 hours. By the time I get off work, get my copy, and get home around 7:00pm EDT some stores should be opening in Sydney.

The only exception will be any areas getting it outside the November 2-3 time frame.

Right and Region 2 (UK, Australia and others) will get it on the 4th and 5th..because that's when their games generally come out...which is a pretty stupid reason for a delay if you ask me. I mean, GT5 is probably going to be the best selling game of the year and it can't possibly be released on a Wednesday? Really? America usually doesn't care when a game comes out, but it generally shoots for a Tuesday, but if it comes out on a Monday or Sunday, that's when it's released. But it's still unusual for a Japanese developed game (and a GT titled even more) to be released in Region 1 first....and Region 2 last. Usually it goes Japan, Europe, America. And it's also weird 'cause PD wanted Regions 2 and 3 to come out on the same day but, it was Region 2 that decided to delay the game, not PD as is evident by the fact that the UK GT site didn't change their release date. Which suggests that UK stores will have the game on the 3rd, but won't officially put it on shelves until the 5th. Maybe people who order it from GS there will be able to get it early.

i dont think its THAT inconvenient... just reverse and do it again! that would take more or less 5 seconds.. lol

Maybe you should reread my original post. Here:

He has an interesting point, but definitely not in career mode, but I think it would be quite handy in arcade mode, however I only say this as there is no practice mode that we know of (fighting games). Could be a great feature for polishing attacks on corners at various speeds (the current option is turn around and do it again).

More of a wish list thing really. If it isn't included, I'll be inconvenienced, but not destroyed or disappointed.

I was wrong about the "Practice" mode (missed it in the GT Life image), but otherwise, as I said, it is inconvenient, but not the end of the world.

And I've done this plenty of times, however not a single one has ever taken 5 seconds, rather quite a bit longer. Feel free to disagree, but there's no real need for sneering here.

Oh, and it isn't as if GT didn't get me wishing for such a feature, as it is somewhat present in the the bloody licensing tests (redo).

It would take longer than that considering you have to go back a considerable amount so that you can approach the corner at similar speed in order to find the breaking point. This would especially be true if there was a long straight followed by a sharp corner.

Thanks for understanding what I'm basically getting at. Depending on the corner and initial speed, I might as well just go around the entire circuit again and I'm fine with that, but as I'm not exactly without responsibility and loads of time in my day to concentrate on only 1 phenomenon. I'm not going to start a thread over it, I just won't be able to hit the corner as many times as I'd otherwise enjoy with this new physics. :ouch:

I need to say this is a strange video - shadows looks like no resolution in it.Also Laguna Seca looks much worse than other tracks.Trees in Le Mans for example looks much better than this.I'm confused really - Le Mans is much more complex track than Laguna Seca.Reminds me of ugly Indiapolis Speedway from TT demo.

(Above is referencing quality of Laguna Seca in Gamersyde video)

You get what you see with Laguna Seca. It's actually a pretty boring course visually, and when you're used to seeing some of the artful masterpieces by PD, it makes Laguna Seca look even duller. To be honest, PD actually made Laguna more detailed than many other sims that I've seen...it's just that the track isn't there for its beauty. I don't even consider Laguna Seca that great of a track, it's just famous for the corkscrew.

It's my favorite track and most beautiful track in Forza 2,3.But yeah - in Forza you drive it at dusk....
Anyway I was just expecting something like:

Does it looks beautiful or it's me?

Do you guys know now why GT-PSP had to be released before GT5...???!!!!

GT5 would have destroyed the little game if release earlier... nobody would buy that portable game

Hi guys long time lurker but first post so go easy...
I think i have noticed something that people might have missed about the weather and if i'm right PD's attention to detail is awesome.
If you watch the subaru in the rain did anybody notice how when he is on the outside view that the spray is heading in one direction
as if being manipulated by the wind (this isn't what i have noticed by the way) well when he goes back to the cockpit the rain isn't
so hard ie he is heading in the same direction as the rain but when he goes round the hairpin and has gone through the tunnel and is now heading in to the wind
and the rain is so much harder now if i'm right this is amazing.
Could somebody please get a screen shot of it please.
0.44 secs the rain is blowing right to left
1.03 the rain is not as hard
1.33 the rain is very hard
Hope this is something but it could just be nothing :)

Thank you for this!

That 'Vette pushed his luck, and PIT'd himself.

That's a shame.....like I said I think it is a very good game.

I can understand why some people complained about the lack of a career mode.....but honestly I dont think it would have worked out in a game designed to be played in short burts.

Maybe car delivery will be used to buy cars that are not available from the cycling used car dealership.

That is a very good idea, another idea is, that every car you win, will be delivered. After winning some race you get the message: "A car has been delivered", then you go on that icon with the truck and a cool, stylish sequuenze plays, where the won car is driven out of the truck like the scene in the Toyota FT-86 trailer you know? Would be ace.👍

What if for new popular/rare/limited production cars we will have to wait game days/months to drive them?

*Congratulations! You have purchased a Ferrari 458 Italia. Your car will be delivered in approximately 18 months* :scared:

lol i would scream like there's no tomorrow

Actually, it would help limiting the number of certain extremely popular cars in the online mode. I'm not sure I would want to see starting grids made exclusively of Ferraris (I bet most kids will go for them) for example.
Also it would give more sense to the "gift system".

Perhaps 'Car Delivery' would be being able to send cars and their setups to your friends?

I have one question regarding GT5 'interaction' with GT5P. I heard that it will be possible with GTPSP but there are just some rumors that GT5 will interact (transfer garage, money, have passed some licence, etc.) with GT5?
I ask that because I plan to (pre)order US version of GT5 (price difference is main reason) and already have EU GT5P. So if will GT5 interact and if in which way? Is there any official info about that matter?

I'm form Bosnia and for me is easier and cheaper to get US version of game(s) specially if I plan to update game with DLCs.
