I think you're thinking of EPL my friend,Gran Turismo (the pal version at least) has never had De Tomaso.

No unfortunately, I do think they should include this brand though, if only for the Pantera..........oh yeah this isn't a wishlist.

Reading all the havoc just now, Im quite disappointed that I cannot comment on it, taking it would start up a warzone that has been painfully kept cold for a decent time, and would probably be worse for me in the long run, then my short satisfaction.

So on to a topic currently at hand,

Thats exactly what I mean... surely they could have the 3 series in but swap say the 2005 model for the 2010 model for example. But I dont see the point of having like I say a 2 generation old Vauxhall Astra in the game. Sure the car makers would want their latest models on show... Ahh well I guess we'll have to wait and see!

We know for sure they'll be Ferraris, lambos in the game but this being GT I am wondering about the more 'normal' cars!

I think the exact same way. Im looking foreward mainly to the ordinary cars, and how many they manage to do get in premium.

The irony here being that GT is supposed to be an "encyclopedia" of cars, but if you look at just the Premium cars, its pretty heavily skewed towards supercars or racing cars. Will we see the Insignia instead of the pre-facelift, last-gen Vectra? Like you mentioned, the more up-to-date non-M 3-series? There are very, very few cars from GT4 and GTPSP's lineups that haven't been superceded by at least one new generation. The GTI was utterly brand new then; it's since been replaced by the MkVI and expanded.

The only way GT can keep the "encyclopedia" tag is by relying on all these carried-over models from past GT games, where the 80's and 90's are chock-full of variations. Without them, the Premiums don't offer a huge, giant amount of variety that GT is typically hailed as a leader of.

As for the actual numbers.. I don't think the premiums will be too heavily skewed towards supercars and race cars. Lets face it it, the 50-60 cars we got in prologue were a lot. I think many people don't really realize how much 200 really is. for all we know, 50-70 could be completely devoted to ordinary and lower end cars, Which is still a lot of cars, maybe not in the racing simulator video game level, but it is very sufficient to at least find one car you own, like, or even plan on buying with an average budget (Hopefully this doesn't act as a defibrillator, to revive an argument again). We have only really seen maybe around 20 cars (From trailers and such) from the super gt as well, and a few in the Standard car trailer, meaning it could be around 1/2 and 1/2 (If were lucky), but still, that could mean dozens. What I do think will take a good deal of the space (Around 90 or 100) are the super cars, anything from an audi R8 to a bugatti veyron. Although, I have minimal evidence... These are just my predictions (Slightly altered by my hopes).. What I really want to see are plenty of rally cars (Maybe around 15-20 atleast) all premium. With High majority of the cars being more standard ordinary cars. Although, This is probably turning more into wishlist thread material.

Where does it show that the [V8 NA powered] 2007 Xanavi Z is confirmed? All the shots of Xanavi Z in the videos are the [V6 turbo] 2006 model.

It's sad that gt has turned into I hope my car is in.

Who'd have thought that about gt.

Yeah, I'd also like a source for this car but I think it's been mixed up with the '06 version.

Would people please stop asking to have a silly "Premium/Standard" indication on the car list please? We don't have a complete list of what is premium and what is standard so it makes no sense to have it right now at all. Besides, I highly doubt once an official car list is released that there will be any sort o indication as to which is a standard car and which isn't. Just...stop...asking.
What's your problem? I see nothing "silly" about distinguishing what is premium and what is not on the car list - after all, all the cars in the e3 demo were classified as "premium". ;)

How can you tell the difference?

It seems they had different sponsor decals for the 2006 and 2007 cars so that's one easy way to tell them apart. The one at 53s in the vid above has the same decals as the 2006 car, bridgestone in center, xanavi right outside of those and zenrin on the outside.
Wings are also different I think.

How many cars so far are confirmed? also it would be nice to see all cars to have a link to a picture.

Yoy know the way GT5 has 1000 cars and only 200 premium. Most cars are probably carried from GT4 but in makes like Nissan, Mazda and Toyota there are cars likr the GTR R34 which has a lot like Nur edition, M spec, V spec and so on. Is this just a way so that you don't have to create acouple of extra cars to reach the 1000 mark. Wonder how many cars there would be without making several different models out of 1 car.

@aaron?: Why do you think that ??
Do you have facts for your assumption ??

No GTR is the Reason for any other Car not being in a GT-Game !!
There are plenty of Skylines/RX-7´s but you can´t just say: "Because of 10 Skylines 10 other Cars are not in the Game"

This is a false statement. Space on the Disk ?? No there would be space for another 1000 Cars (maybe but space is not an issue)
=> why are some Cars not in GT ??

Right. License issues etc.

sooo how about the "All Ferraris in the game" statement about a year ago???

What do you mean? All Ferrari's ever build? Not gonna happen in any game and I don't think PD made this claim either.

Better looking is incredibly subjective. But since we're heading down the "sweeping generalization" road... a new Camaro or Challenger in a driveway screams "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!" just as much, if not more, than either of the others.

I take offense to this statement because I DO have a new Challenger RT sitting in the driveway, but I am not one that requires or even wants alot of attention. I grew up as the '70 Challenger being my favorite muscle car, or any car for that matter, and I always wanted one, but by the time I got older, they became more rare and alot more expensive. Then Dodge introduced that they were going to bring it back and look alot like the original. I thought to myself, it will be cheaper than a nice restored original, more efficient and dependable, but still have the bold looks and attitude of the original, all in one package. Don't get me wrong, it does get lots of attention, but that is not why I have mine, and ask alot of other Challenger owners the same things, and I am sure you will get a similar answer.

Enough rant, and back to the topic at hand. The 09 Challenger SRT is confirmed, and I can't wait to take it around the "ring", and trail mountain (if we get it).
