check the first post https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=95004 :P

of course there can't be every Ferrari ever built....but therse should at least be sometihing between 10 and 20

That isn't much of a statement to be honest, it probaby means most current Ferrari's and the F2007 ( which already was is Prologue ) and the rest of that article already appears outdated.
Might not even mean much at all, since it isn't official and you could draw any conclusion from that.
Don't know how many Ferrari models ( present and classic ones ) will be included but I think it's fair to assume it will at least be around 10 and hopefully more ( all the ones in Prologue plus the 458 and Enzo we've already seen ).

Where is the Saleen s7 on the first page? i saw it a few months ago in a trailer and it was in gtpsp
Simple, it hasn't been in any GT5 trailers or footage so its not there.

I take offense to this statement because I DO have a new Challenger RT sitting in the driveway, but I am not one that requires or even wants alot of attention. I grew up as the '70 Challenger being my favorite muscle car, or any car for that matter, and I always wanted one, but by the time I got older, they became more rare and alot more expensive. Then Dodge introduced that they were going to bring it back and look alot like the original. I thought to myself, it will be cheaper than a nice restored original, more efficient and dependable, but still have the bold looks and attitude of the original, all in one package. Don't get me wrong, it does get lots of attention, but that is not why I have mine, and ask alot of other Challenger owners the same things, and I am sure you will get a similar answer.

Enough rant, and back to the topic at hand. The 09 Challenger SRT is confirmed, and I can't wait to take it around the "ring", and trail mountain (if we get it).

Holy dude, way to dig up an old post!

Notice I said "sweeping generalization" and look at the context of the discussion that was going on at the time. Just showing the error in someone's way of thinking :)

The Chally's a cool car, one of my neighbours has a shiny white R/T with the stripe package. Congrats on owning your dream! 👍

Not necessarily.

Unless I'm mistaken there are only 139 confirmed premium cars. That leaves about 70 unaccounted for.

There's always a chance it could be a standard car as well.
With 1000 cars in the game, you probably won't see over 200 or so in the trailers.

That matters little, this thread was created with the idea that only whatever was seen in gameplay footage and/or trailer will be added to list. Essentially, "I'll believe it when I see it". And dude please, no more of the Standard vs Premium crap again. That's very illrelevent to me.

If you will take the time to read the first post, the purpose is to confirm and/or semi confirm the cars (as in any car) that are in the game.

The means to confirm is not solely reserved unto the two methods you mention.

What Standard vs Premium crap are you talking about?

Apparently the complete purpose of this thread is likewise irrelevant to you.

I'm going to have to disagree with one car on your list.

I don't think we can confirm the Genki Hyper Silvia RS2 D1GP '04 (image) being in the game based off a menu screen. Remember, PD has used cars in menus that weren't in the game before. Off the top of my head, the dodge stratus in GT3 and the McLaren F1 graced the cover of GT2.

(Though I assume it will be in, based on the fact is was in GT4)

However, the cars that have been confirmed were through those various means: Gameplay footage(which was started back whe nGT5P first came around) and Trailer footage.

While that is true, the cars have lately been confirmed only by those various methods. The third hasn't been used as of late.

The part where you mentioned how many premium cars or standards was there. I'm not sure if you were there or not but it was quite an annoying debate and its been especially irritating when people repeatidly demanded the list to include what is and isn't premium to the main list. Sorry if I've came off snobby, but thats grinded my nerves quite abit.

Actually, I was thinking more like:

Apparently the Premium/Standard issue is irrelevant to you.

Fixed because that, not the purpose of this thread, is what I was reffering to as illrelevent.

The original question was why the Saleen S7 wasn't listed on the first page, and that is what RACECAR meant by "its not there," not that its not in the game.

Saleen S7 has not met any of the four categories listed on the front page, so it is not listed on the front page.

I can certainly relate to the frustration with the Premium/Standard car debate.

That poor dead horse has been flogged into a state of sublimification.
I doubt there is a piece left, big enough to be identifiable with DNA.

Concerning the original question of whether the the Saleen S7 was in the game, the answer to which is unknown at this time, I referred to the Premium car list, as it is so labled. To point out only the numbers on that list, being less than the expectant 200 it could still be among them, yet unidendified.

Or likewise, it could be among the standard cars.

This is just to say it could be in the game somewhere as one or the other.
That is all.

As of now there is no confirmation of the Saleen S7 being in GT5, but if it was in GT PSP, then it will most likely be in GT5.

It was in GT4 and GTPSP, so it should be in as a standard car.

Also, the Saleen was spotted in GT5 media

Was it GT5 specific though, like Trailers, gameplay footage, screenshots? If so, please do show said GT5 related madia that it is featured in.

Since it hasn't been seen in any form of GT5 related material, I would say no.

Even though it was in GT4 and GT PSP and that PSP cars will be exportable... By that rationale, since we've only seen 150 cars, that's all we're going to get. We haven't seen the DeLorean in GT5 media yet but considering it was in the past games it certainly does not warrant a "I would say no." Quite the opposite, actually.

I agree, sir. I think it hasn't been in the GT5 media because it's probably more "exciting" for people to see all the Lambos, McLarens etc that will finally be available in the franchise. Wow, run-on sentences 101. lol :)

The Venturi...I think this is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, seriously. It was in GT2, could it be on GT5?

On the GT site, it says that the standard cars are taken from the previous Gran Turismo titles (maybe that's just a way to say GT4-since GT4 contains so many cars from previous GT games).....but how could they upscale a GT2 car?

They wouldn't; it's that simple. However, it DOES have a chance to be re-rendered as a premium model. And rightfully so.

In conclusion: My guess is we won't see it, along with the Vector M12 (also part of GT2's amazing car list). But if it is, it would be premium.
