GT5 Master Car List

Oh my word the veyron is standard. Damn, I know it's not just about supercars but I feel robbed after the time we've been waiting for the game.

PD have only provided DLC twice in their history. The first was to GT5 Prologue, updating Spec I as sold in Japan to Spec 2 as sold in the rest of the world. This update provided 34 cars and one track and cost nothing. The second was to GT5 Prologue also, updating Spec 2 worldwide to Spec 3. This update provided five cars and cost nothing.

As above, this means nothing, but PD's current track record for DLC is to provide it at no cost. One imagines the backlash from the original concept for GTHD (Classic and Premium) probably tips the balance further from "expensive DLC" towards "gratis DLC".

I know that. But many people speculated (and they're probably right) that Sony managed to force PD to things that PD didn't want to do (GT PSP, 3d, the head tracking thingy, etc).

So I still think that DLC is likely. Some tracks were semi-confirmed like Hockenheim or the Texas Motor Speedway. A lot of original tracks, that the fans love, are missing too.

Hopefully I'm wrong :nervous:

Hey guys could someone who have seen the GT4's car list being posted first time tell me did it got the same reaction as the GT5's list got?

Because people are saying its Very "disappointing" that the car they liked isn't in the game, seriously guys....

Of all the cars on the list, I'm ecstatic to see the E46 M3 BMW's (CSL, std and GTR's). Just wish they had the E30 and 36 models.

Nice avatar!👍

The issue is that when we saw GT4's list published for the first time, it held a ton of new (or at least, returning to the series in re-modeled glory) cars. This is GT4's car list plus Prologue and around 120 new cars. A very large percentage of which we've already seen over the years.

Fido - Apologies if it's been mentioned, but there are 3 surprises that I found in the official list: Lamborghini Nomad Diablo JGTC '00, Mazda Axela 23S '03, and Jaguar XFR '10. The Lambo's back from GT3, the Mazda3 is an odd Standard addition that must've never been fit into GT4 or PSP... and the Jag is very, very strange, since it's a brand-new car and we were told new cars would be Premiums.

I like the way PD count thre number of cars:
4 car x 2 market name = 8 cars 👎 SHAME

It's the same as in GTPSP. We've known about this for 12 months. Why the surprise?

I'd agree with everything you said. Though I have my Trial Mountain, so I don't care about anyone else :D

Welcome to GTP, by the way 👍

I think this dates back from the PSP game where they threw in the cars from each regional version of GT4's 700+ cars to get 830ish cars. Badge changes are probably visible in the models but I'm not sure.

I get confused with the Nissan Fairlady's, why can't they call it the 350Z or 370Z? (Yes I know it was sold as a 'Fairlady' in Japan).

So, all cars from GT PSP, and GT5:P, are transfered to GT5?

^ I believe so. You won't be able to use the cars in your career garage, but in arcade. It's what I've heard.

...and I have Grand Valley Speedway and a new F1 car to drive on it. I'm happy.

Without cross-referencing - which I'm not willing to do right now (take a minute off moderating and the mod queue jumps to ten) - I couldn't say if absolutely all the GTPSP or GT5P cars made it, but it looks like it, plus some old friends from GT3 and GT4 which didn't make GTPSP.

Great List - but some people are never happy...
Just to point it out the Jaguar XFR is marked as being a standard car even though it was absent from any previous GT's and made this year. I assume it is another minor mistake.

I'm disappointed. They put the F2007 in. They put the F10 in.

Those two, added to the FormulaGT from GT4 (Which is only a standard) makes the entire Formula One roster for GT5.

I mean... what is the point? Ferrari vs PD? They could have added maybe a Red Bull and a Mclaren from recent years. The Red Bull, well in design of the X1 they had close contacts with Red Bull, and I think they have some of their cars on display in Austria. Likewise, Mclaren have all of their cars on display in their technology centre, so why couldn't they have got a couple of those in? They even modelled some of these for GT3...

I would have been happier if they had kept the F10 out of the game, and tried to get at least 3-4 cars from different teams before they unveiled them all.

It's going to be F10 vs F2007 vs FGT. You could maybe throw in an X1 there to destroy the field. Basically, it's going to be like the Le Mans Prototype races in GT3, with only 3 cars that can realistically compete, with one of them being clearly the fastest car and another one being clearly the slowest. Unbelievable. Considering there will be 16 car grids aswell... It is to be a 3-tier spec series, rather than a Formula One series.

EDIT:

I'm also baffled as to why, and how they included some standard cars that haven't been in previous games? If they plan on making the entire roster premium at any point, then making standard cars now is just delaying the work til later, inevitably leading to either a standard/premium situation in the next 2+ GT games, or delaying the next game for a greater period of time.

I'm also disappointed as to how so few cars have been made with race modification, and as to why they were counted as seperate cars in the car list? It's no different to the sort of Clio/Lupo/Beetle cup cars that we had in GT4. People like racing modification because of the customisation element. But because so few cars have it, it doesn't feel like the cars are customisable at all, but that they've merely added a handful of racing cars that look like their road car counterparts.

They've also ran into a problem. In GT4 there was suge a huge variety in the types of cars, that the overall number was not too significant, because some events you were restricted to around 3-4 cars to race with that weren't complete overkill. They've got the same problem here, mainly because they have introduced so few cars as premium over so many different types of car. Which inevitably means you're going to get a situation where certain cars will be completely useless again, and you will get 16 car grids of the same 1-3 cars.

official car list kind of a let down. i remember i found a car list someone had posted back in 2007 and it had an amazing line up. i mean cars from brabus and carlsson and all that but when i looked at the actual line up they dont even have porsche. its going to be probably the bigger sell out than halo reach and yet they dont even give it all theyve got car list wise. its like they decided to hold back or something.

Can anyone answer this please. On the list it has two C5 Corvettes. The 04 C5 Z06 and the 2000 c5 Z06. There is no 2000 z06, the car started in 2001 so do you think that 2000 C5 is just a regular coupe ? Pleaseeeeeee help!!! lol anyone that knows

Nice to see Nomad Diablo making a return. Mazda 3 and XFR are awesome too, but standard? Mazda 3 is understandable that they may not have enough time to put that into GTPSP, but XFR is a 2010 car, com'on!

Edit: where is my Autounion Streamliner and Nike car? Not impress by the way.

So did I at first, but as famine and a few others stated, we have known about this for a while..I still feel a bit underwhelmed though there are about 30 cars I want to get my mits on.:)

To me F2007 vs F10 is hugely interesting. To see how Ferrari has improved over the years.

I think this might be another case of stupid US rules labeling cars built and sold in 2000 as 2001's.

True, but premium suzuki's and standard veyron...really? I will never drive a veyron in real life hense why I really wanted it as premium...very disappointed and will probably buy it second hand in a year or so.

Why not Kaz? why not?

Could be DLC?

Why not just copy and paste the official car list on to the first page as opposed to spending all that time with colour coding and editing?

LOL, not buying this game just because a car isn't Premium.
The Veyron is a nice car, but there are better cars out there.
