GT5 Master Car List

There are several new(er) cars that got snubbed.

Off the top of my head I can name the following:

  • Aston Martin V8 Vantage ('06)
  • TVR Sagaris
  • facelifted RX-8 and Ford Mustang
  • Ford Shelby GT500 (current)
  • Lotus Exige
  • Volkswagen Scirocco
  • Volkswagen Golf Mk6
  • Ferrari F50
  • Ford Focus RS (current)
  • Lamborghini Reventon/Countach/prod. Diablo
  • Porsche 997 (or a car based on it)
  • no new Opel/Vauxhall

And why is the MKIII Supra premium and the MKIV only standard?

Y'know, I deserve a little better than a blatant copy-paste from GT4's selection. I'm still going to buy this game and likely enjoy the hell out of it but you know...not every car from GT4 was a "keeper". Good thing there's DLC I guess.

Well I'm a little bit disappointed by this Car List.

The only new car I noticed was the Jaguar XF-R.
A lot of cars are listed twice because of region issues so the final count must be closer to 900 than 1000.

Anyway, this is still going to be great but I was expected a higher percentage of new cars.

This is my first GTP post and I'm sorry to say that it is a negative one. Like most of us, we have been waiting for the details. I was even scrolling down, ever closer to 'P' and just hoping that somehow that premium German sports car manufacturer had sneaked in under our noses (at least RUF are in). The Porsche 911rs lightweight has recently been selected as the best drivers car ever by an incredible panel of judges for Classic and Sporstcar magazine. The others in the top 5 are: Original Mini Cooper S, Lotus Elan Sprint, Alfa Romeo 8C (1930's) and McLaren F1. By the mag if you can, some of the stories and accounts of the judges favourites are fantastic.

How many of those cars are in GT5? OK, before this all becomes subjective, I do still have hope that a more inspiring range of diverse and iconic cars will appear as prizes etc in the game and even be available to buy and download. Then again, I may attempt my own road test and spend countless hours finding out what is the best evo/lancer around the 'ring.

I'm counting 222 Premium cars-for me this more than enough cars to keep me busy and happy. Thats not to say I won't try out standard cars-the new hood camera view should make them fun to drive. Can someone double check my count?

1,031 cars yet almost half of them are carry overs. Numbers don't matter if you are carrying over so many cars from GT4 (many of which felt broken). Isuzu, Hyundai and some of the manufacturers had no change in car lists whatsoever. Too many 350's and just one 370Z. The game feels broken.

Before people start crying about to many JDM cars, hardly any are new most al of them are GT4 ports!

WHERE IS BMW M3 E30? :ouch::guilty:
or M1?
or road version Lambo Diablo
and all legendary Ferraris? Daytona, Testarossa, F50, 308?
even a standard version would do...

Just saw the official car-list....what a let down, seriously. Bugatti Veyron standard?! Its not my favorite car, but there is no reason why it should be STANDARD. Almost all of the Pagani's are standard as well! No Koenigsegg?! No premium RUF?! ONE!!! Premium Aston Martin?! So basically, if you aren't stuck in the 90's and still admire Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, or Toyota this game probably won't appeal to you. They even fudged that up, there is no premium DC2-4 teggys LOL

But hey, at least they put a couple months into accurately rendering the VW bus and Hitler's wagon(s).

A lot of epic cars are missing.
Instead there is a bunch of replications (Opel=Vauxhall, Lutecia=Renault), a lot of only slightly different versions of one car (Skylines, S2000s) and a pack of stupid forgotten econo-boxes...

I agree, this list stinks of corner cutting, with 6 years to make a game you figure they would have stuffed a few more cars into it. The fact that most of them are copied pisses me off a bit honestly, the Exige is a big one and I can't see why they didn't create more Fords or 2010 models in general.

It is dissapointing this is kinda like GT4 with a DLC for some new cars, maybe since they concentrated on a new engine and features this game the hope is they will knock out more cars next game. But that statement as I type it sounds ridiculous to me.

I am really kind of tired of 5 different versions of the same car, that simply smells of getting your car count up and nothing less. A letdown, but at least the game is coming out. This reminds me of getting a bad meal at a restaurant, you send it back twice and by the 3rd time your just like nevermind, give me the meal, take it off my bill and I'll go about my way.

I have to say im a bit disappointed too. Theres so much same cars than on GT4, only those premium cars added. I was hoping to see more 80s and 90s cars that weren't on GT4. There are few fortunately, like the Aristo from 1990. But more 80s and 90s European cars..

EDIT: and oh yeah of course there are 40 Skylines. :) Anyways its gonna be a great game for sure!
