GT5 Master Car List

LOL, not buying this game just because a car isn't Premium.
The Veyron is a nice car, but there are better cars out there.

Not just because of that lol, disappointed majorly but money is tight and tbh I'd rather spend it on something i'll enjoy more :)

Indeed, you're right.
Still, not buying GT5 is an error, IMHO.

As I said money is tight and I could get something else that I enjoy instead. It is simply a matter of opinion here. I'm disappointed but I won't cry now and move on and get something else. If I get it for christmas then i'm fine with it but yeah.

The car list looks way dodgy, there were premium spec R32 and R33 Skyline GT-R in older builds of Prologue and GTHD....

True, but premium suzuki's and standard veyron...really? I will never drive a veyron in real life hense why I really wanted it as premium...very disappointed and will probably buy it second hand in a year or so.

True but we knew the Veyron was in the psp version but I agree it would have been nice along with the two Countache's as a premium while the Swift is new to the series, having already pre-ordered the siggy edition I'm not going to cancel it now.

No F50 is a downer for me...

But, we have this:

Fioravanti_Ferrari_SP1_2008_19.jpg&t=1

Which is a bit of a surprise. We had no indication at all that this car would be in.

To me F2007 vs F10 is hugely interesting. To see how Ferrari has improved over the years.

But it's not a matter of how they have improved, it is a matter of how much the regulations have changed. There is also the tyre differences between seasons that the R1-5 system can't accurately replicate. The F2007 ran on grooved tyres, the F10 runs on slicks.

I have to admit I wasn't expecting the F10 at all, so that is a slight positive. PD never gave any inclination or any announcements that they were trying to get a good roster of F1 cars. But that doesn't mean i'm not disappointed with what they have done.

Why not Kaz? why not?

Could be DLC?

DLC is a double edged sword. Any DLC we get for GT5 will remove something new that we should be getting in GT6. Then GT6 will either have huge delays or be a huge disappointment.

Maybe the boundaries/specifications seperating Standard and Premium cars have changed. I've still no doubt that most if not all of standards won't have cockpit view. But I do feel there will be a degree of variation in the quality of the standard cars. Some, like the Veyron for example, are way beyond that of those in GT4.

That I agree with. I'm rather disappointed as well with the track/car list but I'm still going to enjoy the hell out of it.

Eh, the lack of some crucial tracks [Midfield, Infineon, Apricot, Motegi] is disappointing, but I kinda believe that something is incomplete.
Piazza del Campo isn't in the list, even though we know we can drive karts there.
Unless that track is only used in a special event, so it doesn't count as an individual track... which I doubt, personally.

LOL, you serious?
The F50 isn't in the game?

WOOOOOOOW, you know the more I read posts about GT5, the more I'm glad I DID NOT BUY THE $100 "Collectors Edition".

Sorry to the people that bought that trash, I guess If they even release DLC, my extra $40 (to this $60 game) would go towards buying cars that were not included on this $60,000,000 (60 MILLION), 4+ year worked on game.

As far as the Master List goes, now that we have the official list, a simple sort of Premium followed by Standard would suffice I think.

Can we safely assume then, that they're reserving cars for paid DLC? I honestly can't imagine them scraping something that was premium quality. Of course we can also assume that the list is inaccurate but I'm pretty sure it came officially from PD so.......meh, I'm out of ideas.

OK I didn't get every car I could have dreamed of (or every track) but for a hundred bucks I am getting a HUGE game that will keep me entertained for hundreds of hours. I am not disappointed at all.

And more cars and tracks as DLC? I'm betting "yes". ;) Although, since I paid for the CE I don't wish to pay more for DLC... Remains to be seen.

People, grow up and stop complaining that your favorite cars are not in the game! It is just a game, you can't have everything...
My favourite cars and tracks are not in GT5... so what? I will still be enjoying this huge and incredible game, GT5.

I am also disappointed by the car list. No Range Rovers, only one SEAT and, crucially, no Liana or C'eed for the Top Gear test track...

Well Polyphony probably thinks "shoot who needs all these Ferraris and other cars when We are giving them 50+ GTR's"

Would have been nice to see how a Diablo does at Laguna Seca.
Would have been nice to see how a '11 gt500 does on the Nurb

Oh well, I hope they have DLC.

No wonder there are 1000 cars in this game. :indiff:

Imagine if the S2000 was still being produced... we'd have 70 more cars to deal with.
