Me too, but I preferred the 131.
In previous GT games, I always had a lot more fun racing with the slightly ropey, older cars. Once you start using the really fast stuff, it loses some of the real world appeal for me and ends up feeling more like a wipeout title than a GT game. There's plenty of vehicles that I would have liked to have seen on the GT5 roster, mostly 1970's and1980's stuff that has never appeared in a quality racing title. Modern hypercar stuff will be available in any number of other driving games in the future.
It's been for a while. I don't know what to think.![]()
Wow, what an ignorant way to look at things.
It's not always about having your car in, there are some basic cars which should be in/Premium. Take the Veyron; I don't like it, but it's the fastest one in the world. And there are so many cars missing from this list that I might as well go to Forza until PD come up with something decent. 800 of those cars are standard. Look at it this way. 200 odd cars are (nearly) new; Forza offers 500 odd cars which are (nearly) new, with some decent modern cars as well. GT5 however, is still in the past when it comes to new cars. No new Hyundai, no Kia (reasonably priced car), no new Volvos (bar one), no new Citroens, Vaxuhalls/Opels, no new Seats, no Skodas.. Need I continue? Oh yeah, no new VWs.
My dad owned a 131(Mirafiori? sp),and yes I too would have liked to have seen more historical cars in the GT5 lineup, specially British sports cars like the MGB Triumph Stag,TR series etc mark 1 and 2 Escorts and also the X19 would have been nice.
I was at the Top Gear MPH / classic car show yesterday. There was a handful of X-19s there, including a very decent looking one for sale for under £3k. Temped? yup.
Thats...a d...d..diesel..![]()

Wow, what an ignorant reply to a reasonable post. "This SHOULD be in, this SHOULD be premium". No, in fact, nothing should be anything, it's entirely down to PD, and they've worked their asses to the bone to bring you this content. Don't act like you know better than they do until you've released a superior product. Thanks.
One car (The Veyron) I said should be Premium. In fact, there's a whole thread full of people saying it should be Premium. What other car did I say should be Premium? Oh, none. I simply said there should be more modern cars to keep GT5 looking fresh instead of it being a GT4 HD.
I still think that the Veyron isn't premium because of Bugatti. This car is to exotic to actually crash badly.
Something else ,
Any change we could see the Lamborghini Gallardo Valentino Balboni as some kind of unlockable car ? Also , didn't we have some rumors about it being in the game ?
Found it :
'' Toyota FT-86 Concept, ARTA Honda NSX JGTC, Toms Lexus SC430 JGTC, Amuse Ericsson Nissan 380RS Superleggera Z33, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Ferrari 458, Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, HKS Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru WRX WRC, Suzuki Swift WRC, Ford Focus WRC, and Nissan GT-R SpecVon -- four tracks (Fuji Speedway, Indianapolis 500 Road Course, Nurburgring Nordschleife, and a fictional Tokyo city streets track) were available for play in a terse Event mode.
So , this means that the car list isn't the complete one ?

Dear "car lover",
if you like all GTs since the first why you're now complaining about GT5's carlist, that has every car from 4 plus approximately 300 more? That doesn't make sense at all.
With you being italian and the way you argue I'd say you never really played GT and your "love" narrows down to Ferrari, Lamborghini and maybe Bugatti.
Name a racing simulation that has more than your mentioned 300 cars you like, and don't give me that semi-"simulation" Forza.
Because I know you won't answer that question because it's not possible, let me help you:
Don't buy GT and buy NfS instead, there you go with ~70 supercars. Enjoy it. I'm sure you'll do.
Both, I think... the one for sale was F reg, so that one was Bertone I guess? Didn't spend all that long with them though as my attention was taken away fairly swiftly by the 6 seater Fiat 500 multipla bus thing.
