GT5 Master Car List

[...] there are more cars that I find attractive or at least more '09-'10 cars I find attractive, especially hatchbacks, cars that I personally adore (S3? corsa opc? fiesta RS? twingo sport? 500 abarth? no one?)[...]

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! If all of those cars and more were in GT5 I would die (not literally :/) of excitement..
..But, they're not, so I'm not.

I find this list I made kind of funny here goes:

1) Chevrolet Silverado SST Concept '02 #131 on list
Chevrolet SSR '03 #132 on list Might not even call this a truck
2) Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Hemi Quad Cab '04 #171 on list
3) Ford SVT F-150 Lightning '03 #228 on list
4) Toyota Tacoma X-Runner '04 #975 on list

All of these are in the car list.

Now My question is: If Kaz is so in love with the Nissan name Why Oh Why didn't he dump at least one Skyline and add one of these?

5) Nissan Titan (any model) # Oh wait It's not on the list.

Not in car list.

Yes I admit they are all trucks and not used much in game but still:ouch:.

You missed the Audi Pike's Peak, Land Rover Range Stormer, Honda Element, Infinit's SUV, and the Mazda MX Crossport Concept.

I was only listing Trucks not SUV's or 4x4's. That's why I didn't list any rally cars. Yes I do know that the Dodge and the Ford are 4x4's if they are the same models as in GT4.

Actually, I think only the Ram and the XRunner are 4x4s. The SVT Lightning is RWD, I believe. It sucks the SRT10 Ram isn't in.

what happened to the GTM Factory Five SEMA 2007 Best of show winner??? I thought if you win and get the GT award you get the car in the game?
http://www.factoryfive.com/whatsnew/community/cheney/gtm.html

It didn't win the GT Award. It won Best in Show at SEMA. There's no mention of Sony in there.

The HPA Audi TT won the GT Award in 2007.

The list

Type Game Prima Guide GTP Guide
Chevy Rear Rear Rear
Dodge 4x4 4x4 4x4
Ford Rear 4x4 Rear
Toyota Rear Rear Not listed

So I'm going to believe the "Game" itself on this:idea:
I was going by the Prima Guide as it was sitting next to my "little typing on screen machine"

A question: Premium car means better graphics or better physics? I always thought was only the first one; may be will be different the physics too, regarding the damage; if a premium car impact against something we see all the damage it get, so not for a standard car, that bounce back like a rubber ball, as usually in previous GT. Am i wrong?

After seeing the videos from the full game the only differences between standard cars and premium cars is:

Standards have no cockpit view, no high/low beam/flashing lights and only minor cosmetic damage like scratches and dents.

I can't help but feel very worried about the physics in standard cars. I mean how do we know that they took the time to update them in each one? I'm guessing we're in for yet another disappointment.

They have a physics engine into which they simply enter the specs of the car and the engine does the rest.

I don't think they have to work on every single car as they already have the info of the cars and have completely remade the physics.

Yes i was thinking me too that the physic engine it's one for all the cars, it's logical and reasonable, but i'm not sure of it; thanks for the attention; now only remain to wait for the game and play it: all the mysteries will be revealed. Mirko. :)

Thats going to work for most cars but what about cars like american muscle cars or go karts that are going to handle completely differently. With this number of cars in the game there are always going to be some cars that don't feel "right".

Well we don't know how complex the engine actually is. That was just something Kaz told us.

A question:

We saw the car list that PD show to us and we can see that a lot fo cars of other series dont enter and Kaz sayed that we can pass cars from GT5 Prologue and GTPSP, so my question is, can we pass cars that the GT5 dont have like the FPV F6, FPV GT or the Volvo 240 GLT ?

Sorry if it has been discussed before, but why they add Maserati without MC12??? Lambo without Reventon?? Bentley without Continental??

Because they can not model every single car. Modeling a premium car takes around 3 months.

More cars maybe downloadable later, but this has not been confirmed or even talked about.

I'd like to think the reason they left some out is because they wanted to do them justice with premium rather than standard, so decided they'd take their time and release them as DLC when they're done :)

For free I hope, having 800 standard cars from GT4 is a bad joke
