I think you might be right:

I'm adding the "time of day" blue icon to Suzuka in my list :)

EDIT: however after checking Suzuka from GT5P on Youtube, I'm unsure.
The sun position appears to be the about same on that part of the track.

Hmm... I guess that could be right. If nothing else, I'm glad you can see what I mean though. 👍

I think you quoted the wrong guy. I commented about the Nurburgring and you commented on the LeMans circuit. It's like talking with my dad.
I simply gave you a different way of looking at it. I guess it doesn't work for everyone though. What I meant was that although the track may be named otherwise in reality, PD still can make up the name.

Nascar
NASCAR in GT only comprises a few 'official' tracks - including Daytona and Indianapolis - and roughly ten real drivers. The license will also play to the real sport's rules, such as yellow flags and pitting. The NASCARs are also the only vehicles which have bonnets break open and rear windows shatter.

If this excerpt from the PSM3 article is correct, then maybe we should expect more "official NASCAR tracks" than what we have so far. If I had to guess, then I would say Texas. Since we know that Kaz has visited there.

I want Watkins Glen in that list also.

+1

I couldn't agree more.

Anyway, I doubt they actually mean "roughly ten NASCARs". That would seem odd judging by the fact that PD have a full on NASCAR license and that Kaz promised we would get a lot of NASCAR cars.

I thought it said '10 real drivers', as in 10 licenced drivers?

Some of that article seems like recycled info so I'm not sure how much was revealed to them and how much they've gathered from old news stories.

I'm sure we'll get Twin Ring Motegi, and all it's variations like the oval, seeing as how SuperGT just wrapped up the championship this season there on the road course. With one more 'special' round to go at Fuji.

I am thinking that we'll get the more popular tracks in Nascar. Charlotte Daytona Indy and possibly... Talladega! Nascar is there this weekend, and it's not Nascar without the 'fastest' track on the calendar. If only they didn't run restrictor plates! Man those things would be hitting 230mph easy!

Nascar's fastest track is California. Just pointing out the obvious.

Not quite. Everyone labels Talledega as Nascar's fastest track. The only thing is that the top speeds are limited because it's a restrictor plate race. If you look throughout the history of Nascar, you'll see Talledega was and is the fastest track, but not currently. That title falls to Texas Motor Speedway.

I'm sure someone mentioned the Bugatti course before:

If you look on the right it seems pretty low-polygon/texture, so I'm not sure, unless they've 'cut it down' as it isn't part of the main Le Mans course shown. I don't know.

Ok, after looking at the above GT5 pic: The far right road surface is part of Bugatti. Just for clarification. But, surely it is in. Here is the map below for comparison.

With all the effort that PD has put into developing Le Mans & from what appears to be classic Le Mans course seen in the Red Bull Trailer last month, it's fair to assume that Bugatti would be in.

Personally, I'd rather wait until TT2 before the Bugatti circuit is included. But, the more the merrier. I might even find a car that works around it :P

That area might be optimised down when it's not being used, but I'd be surprised honestly, it doesn't look likely to be in to me. It's clear from all their overhead shots that they've made an effort to replicate as much of the surrounding land as necessary, so you'd expect something to be there even if it's not used.

New Nurburgring Course in the Sebastian Vettel X1 Video It's a third variation of the Nurburgring GP course, it shows "Nurburgring GP/D course" or something. He never drove on it when he did the lap it was there when he was choosing circuits. So now there are 4 variations of the Nurburgring.THESE ARE REAL FACTS, I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP. Watch the video and you will see. It's when they show Sebastian choosing a track.

Edit: 1:12 and on in the video

Circuit Sarthe no chicane also confirmed (I think we already knew that though.)

It also states underneath if the track is in the night or in the day time. Marked by a Sun or Moon. On one of the Sarthe variations it shows a Moon.

Yes, it says: Nurburgring GP/D

EDIT2: SORRY FOR THE POST I did not know you guys were already on this.
Sebastian Raced on Nurburgring GP/F (the one we already know.)

Actually even when it's used it's not maximized (at least for now)

I always think that these things, 2D trees included, are necessary in order to get 16 premium cars on track with damage, physics, 60fps, weather etc...
As Yamauchi said at TGS, framerate may drop to 40fps in extreme conditions so what they've done wigh the "downgrading" is not even enough to mantain to 60 all the time.

Yep, you are right. It does seem to be the same place on the track. The sun is behind that hill, which is in the direction of the pit straight. As you can see, the brightest part of the sky in Prologue is in that same direction. But, I guess we can confirm weather on Suzuka, which is nice.
