We have a very interesting Course Editor... Have you seen this?

It's much better than I was thinking... In addition, I would count Cape Ring as a very interesting track, althought it is not realistic, it looks really funny.
I mean seriously, the Veyron is standard? that's where the outrage should be. even if you don't like it, IT WAS TOP GEARS CAR OF THE DECADE!!! BEATING OUT THE ENZO, CARRERA GT, etc.
So we have a game with only 5 really interesting track:
Monza
Laguna seca
Nordschleife
La Sarthe (but only with a really limited number of cars)
Suzuka
For a 2010 game and a 6 years production is not enough, Codermasters realized 18 tracks with a lot of detail in ... one year?
And u can't do a racing game without SPA, simply u can't.
And guess what the first GT game the Bugatti veyron was on? GT PSP. Any car from GT PSP is automatically standard, period.I mean seriously, the Veyron is standard? that's where the outrage should be. even if you don't like it, IT WAS TOP GEARS CAR OF THE DECADE!!! I want to play that exact course Online, if only there was a way to play our created courses online.💡💡
I think you'll find it will be very difficult to re-create real-life circuit. Especially in an accurate way since the topography of the land around the circuit appears to be somewhat randomly-generated. You might be able to get the corners right, but there's no way you could do the elevation properly. Besides, you get a maximum of ten sectors, and while the best way to re-create a corner would be to have one sector for each turn, circuits like Spa have more than ten corners to them. Plus, it looks like the number of sectors dictates the length of the circuit, so you could end up with a twenty-kilometre version of the current Spa circuit.
I'm curious as Grand Canyon, Tahiti Maze, Twin Ring Motegi, Costa Di Amalfi and Citta Di Aria were on Gran Turismo HD publicity images... in 2006!

Sure they don't look so good today, because of the outdated textures and low poly scenery, but the track is there. I don't believe they couldn't improve the textures and side tracks objets in 5 years.
Not having all GT4 tracks as standards, just like they did with the cars, is a weird move (if not dumb).
I don't see a point of not having Infineon, now that they have the Nascar licence. Same goes with Twin Ring Motegi for SuperGT.
GT5, as truly fantastic and well done as it is, is a full mix of bad moves and design decisions. Ever since the GT HD stages.
PS: I find funny people already talking about GT6 and that it will have all things GT5 misses. I'm sorry but PD already made tons of money with GT5P. Do they really need another game to help them finance a more "complete" one? No.
They need a bigger team. Having around 200 people to develop a game was fine during PS1 and maybe PS2 days. Nowadays, games are getting more detailed, and a big staff is mandatory. They better hire more 3d modelers and programmers or GT6 will still have "issues".

Just check at 07:00 when they are talking about Standards. 51 Tracks. =/ Seems like 5 years later, they don't give a damn...

I'm so looking forward to that
I don´t understand either. All GT4 tracks were upscaled to 1080p.
Ever since they´ve shown GT HD we thought those tracks would be in GT5. because they HAD done work on then to improve the resolution.
It´s just hard to understand the decision at this moment.
Putting 800 standard detail cars in and leaving tracks out because they do not look good enough is just plain stupid.

So is that really the final list on the official GT site? Thats the list of ALL unlocked tracks? Can we have Tekken90 confirm this? I reviewed the leaked tracked video again and it seems Nurburgring and Top Gear tracks were the only ones that were considered "locked". I highly doubt that these are the only two tracks we need to unlock in Arcade mode. The ones in the video are the same exact ones listed on the GT site and the news page here on GTPlanet.
Is that what we have all officially or are we just speculating that this is it?

Didn't kaz say that all GT4 tracks will be included in GT5?
So I think all tracks WILL be included also[/COLOR]
I hope there will be a voting / penalty system which is linked to some sort of temporary online ban. Let's say you are kicked or disqualified from five online sessions within 24 hours so you can't access any public online events within 24 hours. I doubt they would include such a thing but consequence is needed if just a small percentage of those wild drivers from Prologue will return.
That article is from June 2007.So right now people are getting their hopes up on a 6 year old article?
GUYS? I GOT A GREAT IDEA to (possibly) proof additional tracks in the game!
But for that we need somebody who owns the retail version of the game.
The trick is simple: If you look into the user manual of, say, GT4, at "Credits" you find all car manufacturers,
but also all names of real world tracks (like "Infineon Raceway").
So if you've got the official retail version of GT5 or you know someone who owns it,
please look into the credits of the manual and search for SPA, HOCKENHEIM or INFINEON!
Or, better: Take some photos of that pages and post it here!!
And please do it NOW.
