Slightly off topic but was looking at Google Maps for different tracks like Route 246 etc.
Looked up Tsukuba Circuit. There is a second track there and the Google spy sattelite caught a race in action Linky-link

Looking at the map, I remembered...I wish we had an option to add the "extra"curb (just like in Circuit de la Sarthe, w/ or w/o chicanes) in Tsukuba , right after the Dunlop ad (Half a tyre). And it'd be nice to be able to race go-karts on the Tsukuba karting track too...

That's the motorcycle track. TT used it just like it used the motorcycle track at Suzuka.

El Capitan is the game? I thought it was absent from the "Official Tracks List." I'm glad it is in there!

OK, I'm confused. I haven't seen that Amar or Tekken have found El Capitan. Why was it added to the list? By the way, who is updating the listing at the front of this thread?

As has been said, it has been included because it appears in a trailer for the game.

Then it should NOT appear in the list. The trailer was put up by mistake by Red Bull, and withdrawn rapidly at Sony's request. The inclusion of El Capitan may very well have been a error, and it will probably not be in GT5. :grumpy:

If El Capitan is not in it, then why would they have modelled it? If they had put it down as an idea then maybe scrap it, but model it and work out what they want to do with it in the trailer and then scrap it, IMO that is stupidity in a nut shell.

There are only two things we know about tracks in GT5 currently.

1) There is a track list is from Sony (i.e. official)

2) There are very reasonable grounds to presume that that is not the entirity of the tracks.*

*Whole list of reasons ranging for noteworthy questioning to boardline conspiracy: Several tracks seen in trailers weren't on it, tracks played such as the karting track weren't on it, other tracks heavily rumoured from as early as leading into the 2009-2010 GT academy weren't on it, GT5P weather location tracks weren't on it, the hockenheim track hosted a GT5 event and it was reported to in the game, but wasn't on the list, the only ingame track list has been that of not a full game, Kaz wanted suprises, chris miranda said well more than 100 tracks in the game a few months ago, that list even including weather as a new track and all the duplicates is still under 100, etc...

Until Amar212, I play the game or it is reported here, I won't believe that we have seen it all. There is far too much evidence in support of having seen only a partial list. It's belief in a track list that may have a silent *, or trailer, demos, etc..

There's that Top Gear track (?) at dusk again. It must be a setting within GT5 - hopefully, time of day on that track

In my previous speculative lists I marked TGTT as having a time of the day option, as in a previous trailer (E3 2009 trailer I think) it was clearly different than usual. I was surprised to not find that in the retail version.

I think it might be the Redbull photo mode area. It has the landing lights as well

I'm pretty sure that's the Top Gear test track, because the Red Bull Hangar is not drivable on and because it's the actual hangar (I don't think it includes the airstrip).
About time changing in the TG T Track, I really doubt it's an option. I'd say they just created that effect cos it looks good and that's all.

Too bad there's no weather for it though, because it would sure be a lot of fun to challenge The Stig in a wet lap of the track.

I'm not so sure that it isn't drivable. Maybe it's one of surprises that Kaz is holding for us. Look at Bern phototravel location. People are lined up on both side of street, cheering. Also in E3 2009 trailer you can see race cars going to start there. I'm not saying that we will be able to race there but who knows? We were sure that El Capitan is in, and it's not, so we can't be sure that some photo locations aren't driveable. ;)

Is there an option for rain on the Top Gear test track?

The Official Track List puts it as a "standard" track, without dynamic weather or day/night transition (which doesn't mean it can't be raced at night/dawn, whatever, it just means that it's fixed time).

It would be awesome to race there in the rain, but I don't think it's possible.

When a track is listed as "Time", or "Weather", does it mean it has dynamic time/weather?
Because there is a difference here. If that designates tracks that have dynamic time and weather, the other tracks, without any specifics being pointed out can still have different times of the day or weather conditions, just not dynamic, right??

Maybe I'm just taking this too far, sort of lawyering it, trying to find implied meanings, but I can't be too sure about it...

Well time is obviously dynamic in it's nature, but we havn't seen it been applied to tracks that arn't specificly listed yet, or as a static time option

And we havn't seen any dynamic weather at all yet. So make of that what you will.

I wouldn't mind having an option for a static "night" & "rain" on all tracks. Although, I realize that may be wishful thinking.

Time is dynamic in it's nature, that's a really good point.
What I was trying to say was, changing in the lighting conditions, the sun changing position, etc.
Maybe you can choose to race at night on a track that are not marked as "time" tracks in the official list. The only difference is that once you start at night, you're "stuck with it", instead of it changing into dawn, etc

Exactly arvin, I do know it is a bit of wishful thinking, but it is a bit confusing how they didn't specify. If it turns out to be true, great, if not, it's also gonna be great...

I don't think there'll be an option to have static night or rain.

.. but it wasn't the point I was trying to make. ;) Just that we havn't seen SSR7 in daylight or Fuji at night, etc.

Oh, got it, sorry. I don't expect to see that happening (SSR7 in daylight or Fuji at night), I think there's slight a chance of one or two tracks having such option. (Remeber Tsukuba - wet?, something like that)

Which track is this? I don't recognize those big stadium lights.
