GT5 Master Track List (NOT a wishlist)

PD this time has padded their track count by including these other variations.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=115188&page=210

Then its not really a "track count".

Track for track, no variations\reverse, GT4 has more individual tracks than GT5.

What surprises me is that PD virtually exhausted their new material before it was even released, we've had pretty much all the ferarris for 2 years now, and the Ring and Toscana videos are almost stale.

Chamonix(which they destroyed)
Eiger Trails
Cape Ring.
SSR7

Thats all the new stuff we've seen. One would think they have serious Aces ujp their sleeeve, then again, who can say anything about PD with total certainty.

Not to get caught up in semantics, but when people ask how many tracks are in a game, what they are really asking is how many unique shapes there are. Direction, weather or time are something that people usually don't consider as a separate track.

As a side note, Amazon.com (USA) just e-mailed me pushing the release date of the Prima Essential Track Guide back to November 30, so essence we will resolve if the track list is complete before the the Guide is out.

No. Sakhir is awesome as well as his overhauls of Fuji and Hockenheim. Istanbul also offers one of the most overtaking opportunities of any of his circuits.

Yas Marina is pretty cool too, even if it is hard to pass. Just ask Fernando Alonso... :)

And I really hope that its only that track guide thats getting pushed back.

Sakhir is incredible dull, Fuji went from super-awesome to super-dull (the new section is horrible). He raped one of Europes best circuits, the Hockenheimring. Istanbul is an average track.

Not many good new tracks are built. Algarve is good, Alcaniz is not too bad and that is pretty much it.

+1

I don't like Tilke's tracks at all. My favorite tracks in Europe used to include Hockenheim, but the forest layout which had to be destroyed due to the limited visibility. I still have one racing game with the old layout, that being F1 97 CE.

So true. The comment about Hockenheim is perfect.

Don't forget Potrero de Los Funes, in Argentina. FIA GT1 gonna race there again.

Yes, that picture shut up alot of people on here who were certain this guy had a final release copy, now, thankfully, they seem to have learned not to jump to conclusions, hence the quietness of the forums.

About those tracks that Tilke has designed and the raped such as Hockenheim. His tracks are rubbish but they also aren't helped by the current F1 cars not being able to follow close to each other which just makes the problem of overtaking even worse on Tilke designed tracks.

Still a little disappointed by the lack of unique tracks but that won't stop me from playing it.

Actually, the old Hockenheim was one of the worst circuits ever built. No matter how talented a driver was, if his engine was down on power, he would never stand a chance. The entire outcome of the race was decided before anyone had so much as unpacked their cars for the weekend: he who had the best engine won. They might as well have not bothered to drive it at all. From a driver's point of view, the old Hockenheim wasn't much to write home about.

And to claim Tilke "raped" the circuit is an extreme term. Anyone with an ounce of brain power can see that he clearly had to treat the old circuit as a perimeter, and thus could only use the infield to redesign the circuit. And given the shape of the infield, there was never much that could be done with it in the first place. I'd like to see you have a go at creating something out of nothin the way Tilke had to. At least he actually created an overtaking point.

I've never understood the love for the old Hockenheim. It was just plain boring. The old Hockenheim is the only circuit that has ever put me to sleep, both when watching races on television or playing it in games. Aside from the final sector, there's simply nothing to do. It's all long straights and chicanes designed to slow the cars down - two of the most bland features of any racing circuit - and I don't see how that is in any way clever, sophisitcated or challenging. But for some reason, people get all nostalgic about it now that it's gone. We've still got Silverstone, Spa, Monza, Monaco and Interlagos. I don't recall anyone getting excited for a race at the old Hockenheim the way people do about those other venues. The only reason people like the old Hockenheim is because it's gone. Frankly, it's one of the most over-rated circuits ever to be raced. I don't see people pining for a return to AVUS, which was pretty much the same thing.

Yeah, I actually like the new Hockenheim. The old was an allout engine track with chicanes thrown in which isnt original. (Sounds like one of GT5's premier tracks haha....)

The new Hockenheim produces more viewing for the stadium ticket buyers, more passing chances because of more laps, and still a good, curving straight. I actually think its one of Europe's 5 best tracks still.

I honestly dont see how anyone here could say nothing but great things for Istanbul and Maylasia.

Tilke built Yas Marina according to the client's wishes. Yas is not about the racing but the spectacle of everything on the facility. Tilke built what his clients wanted.

Tilke's Austin track looks great too.

Look at that tasty trail in the background :)

I know right I saw this, but when I did I thought it just must be a background. Here's hoping we can actually drive on that.👍

I hope it is paved but it looks like its not.
