What's with all the complaining? You really think they had the time to put more and more and more into this game? We get more than 200 of the best modeled cars there are. On top of it all, we get Customization levels unseen in GT games. Then on top of that, weather. Then on top of that, a track editor. You want Spa? Do your best to make Spa. You want Silverstone, do the same. You've got to realize the time it takes to model things the way GT does it. No game looks and feels like GT does. Forza's cars look ok, but they 'float' on the track. The interiors are beat and bland also, and not modeled correctly. No game has the 'flow' that GT has. Not one of you out there could make a better game. If you can than do it. Maybe other games have more real world tracks, but so what? There's lots of other real world tracks that go unnoticed by games that are better than Silverstone. Where's Imola? Where's Hockenheimring previous 2001? With track editor I look forward to making versions of tracks that weve yet to see. It's doable, and I plan to devote time to making renditions or copies close as possible to these tracks that are left out. I suggest some of you do the same and have your name immortalized for your tracks' popularity.

Sorry to sink your ship but you can't make anything with the track creator it does it all for you, all you do is select how many corners, how often, and how severe. thats it.

Well, there seems to be quite a bit of parameters to adjust. Who knows, maybe we can get lucky and slowly learn to get close to something real.

The track maker should be rather good, hopefully enough options will be there to do something satisfying.

A different site brought it to my attention that Cape Ring Periphory isn't on the official list and that the guy w/ the youtube vid said that he unlocked a track so that pretty much proves the list is incomplete.

In the official japanese GT5 website the Periphery and Inside variations are called respectively, in ideograms, "outer circuit" and "inner circuit".
I guess that's a localization inaccuracy.

It still blows me away how screwed up that official list is. There is just one more example.

i dont understand why every track ever in gran turismo isnt in GT5

really now, take out the 234 nissans and 500 s2000's and put in grinwald, ssr11, pikes peak, and so on

Sigh...

It does not work that way. I hope you understand that.

Couldn't they just retouch GT4 tracks like they did with the standards. Also, wasn't their a video at one of the game shows (GC/TGS/E3) that called one of the tracks premium?

I really wanted to see pikes peak in there!! My dad used to race pikes peak and it would be really cool at night to race each other up pikes peak.

Also I would have not missed the excessive skylines and s2000s if it meant a cockpit view in all the ferraris and lambos. Instead of making a prius they could have made a premium veyron or more BMWs.

Im complaining but I am super excited for this game! Haven't been able to complete any homework cause im staying up watching leaked videos of the game. Hopefully and added tracks, cars and patches will be added instead of waiting to put it in gt6.

That's what we're doing now, and the more you read into it, you more you remember there's actually loads of amazing, quality gaming still there. People obsess over the latest news because it's... well, new, and that's all they focus on. When you go back to looking at the full picture there's still a lot to like about GT5, more so than other games, more so than GT4 if you ask me.

i can´t agree. From my point of view all we get is GT4 and basically GT5prologoue mashed together, and I´ve already played those.
The actual number of interesting new cars in GT5 are way to few for me to actually care.
So far the new features - like the track editor - has more of a repelling effect on me than an appealling one. I simply think PD has focused their work on the wrong things for a number of years.

During the Le Mans race, the demo labeled the track as premium. It was the first time the build of the track showed up. Until then, a 1080p upscaled version of Le Mans from GT4 was used in demos.

And they did have the GT4 tracks in HD, they used those tracks for the promos and intros of GT PSP, and for demos for GT HD, back in 2006. There´s pictures of people playing on Grand Canyon on IGN.

They looked very good.

Since we don´t have a logical explanation on why those tracks were left out, i hope they show up as DLC, togheter with Spa, whenever PD finishes that track. (going by the Jeux France video we know they are working on Spa).

I see. I keep thinking of the question: do you trade b-spec and photo mode for premium versions of the Bugatti EB110, the F50 and the Lambo Diablo?

To me, those side features are so insignificant that those three cars would be already worth the trade.

But i know that many people enjoy taking photos, simulating races, so i understand why they also focus on those things.

Yea I wish they would have, but it doesn't surprise me that they didn't. I mean, look how much heat they have taken for standard cars.

Now, if they would have communicated this properly from the beginning, people would have understood better. But they didn't, and in the end, all of us lose out.

Of course that may not be the reason they left them out, but I can't think of another explanation. What is sad, is that I will be expecting to unlock Seattle, El Capitan, and Midfield, "any minute now". So that I can be like, "damn Kaz, you got me, you got me good."

But, that won't happen.

What video? Could you post that and show it to me?

Wasn't that video from a few years ago? And there is a logical reason why those tracks aren't in the game: Licensing issues and time.

That info is basically pulled straight from our forum discussions at GT Planet.

Only at that time nobody called us "whiners" or "cry-babies" for expecting those or a few of those tracks, let alone losing a big bunch from GT4.

Bah, you people are not giving room for improvement/expansion...

Say you got all the 57 tracks of GT4 + Spa and others on the wishlist; OK, now what's going to be added in GT6?
