Maybe it means Tarmac in terms of rally, as in a gravel stage followed by a tarmac stage?
I.e Tarmac would be slightly lower grip than "Circuit" material.

So "tarmac" is more leaning towards tarmac rally stages.
Do we only have the one environment for proper race-track generation, then? It's hard to tell from the video of the course maker, but assuming the other ones with kerbs in the pictures are the kart track environments, and the one used is Eifel...........hmmmm, limiting.

Well Tekken90 said that some things unlock, such has Photo Travel locations, so he thought that Course maker locations would be unlocked too. And in earlier builds we saw 8 locations; I know, it's an earlier build but I'm just trying to be be hopeful, although it is probably not to be.

So it's called Liège like the city. Still close to Spa but the gravel surface does not make much sense if they wanted to compesate for Spa not being in the game. Because of that I'm now more confident that Spa is included in the game as a suprise. On the other hand, I will not be disappointed if it isn't included.
I mean, wouldn't it be an insult to include the location of one of the most beloved racing circuits and then use it for rally while the real track is no where to be found?

Guys , let's face it. These are the tracks we get. We only can hope for more in the form of DLC or GT6.
signature edition cancelled... tempted to wait for a pre-owned copy if im honest. i never thought id hear myself say that.
seems like a massive waste of an opportunity. i just dont get how 150 people over five years could produce this.... it seems so half arsed cobbled together.
id love to hope there is a patch of sorts to correct this asap. but it seems theres a mountain of features missing, and a mish-mash of collosal **** ups.

Drifting is the control of keeping a car stable, whilst sideways. I can't find any alternatives, not even powersliding.

I thought it had been confirmed that there will be no DLC for GT5? And even if they´ve actually started working on GT6, don´t expect it to be in any store near you in any foreseeable future. At the current rate we can count on GT6 around x-mas 2016...
I agree with you. The latest news have put me off really. I will not buy a copy on release, that is certain. I´ll read up on every feature and look really indepth at the game before I decide wether to buy it or not.

That's what we're doing now, and the more you read into it, you more you remember there's actually loads of amazing, quality gaming still there. People obsess over the latest news because it's... well, new, and that's all they focus on. When you go back to looking at the full picture there's still a lot to like about GT5, more so than other games, more so than GT4 if you ask me.
sadly the leaks, news, reviews and negative press will not change sony or pds approach to gt games.
seeems funny how sony arent asking gtplanet to remove any vids from the forums... jus the main page. i wonder if the "leaked gt5" is a pre-release build of some sort....

I haven't read any of the reviews, but i have it and play it. Graphics are a bit ropey,not what i call high def, but has a wonderful array of 'supercars', and some very good racetracks. All put together by a small team in a very limited time. It's fun. I'm sure GT5 will be fun too, i just feel we should have got a whole lot more in the way of tracks. I personally would have been more than happy with 50 supercars.
