I think it's a temporary ban.
By the way, what do you think about the last straight before the chicane in the new SSR5 being vaguely similar to that of SSR11 in GT3?
At 1:25-1:28 you can see that immediately after the chicane the road continues, but it's blocked because there's the right turn for the SSR5 main straight.

So, This mean than only the actual track list can be confirmed and it seems than there's no surprises about the final track list? well, Spa and Hockenheim I'll see you in GT6 :sly:

I'm wondering in the overall scheme of things that PD is trying to put together Wangan world of the Special Stage tracks, maybe SSR7 is a way to connect those areas, though I don't think all this will be realized until GT6.

My personal expectations is the track list is not final, but that there are only a few hidden courses left to be revealed, not much more.

The video of SSR5 reveals a lot, but would like to see better quality & a replay of the reverse course.

Still left out there:
-Tokyo Bay - Is it a Photo mode location, track or location created for the trailer only?.
-Top Gear Track - seen at a different time of day.
- Suzuka West - the track is modeled already, why has it not been added.
- Unknown course shown in the Ferrari California trailer showing the cliffs.

Also, haven't seen any videos of the final build of Tokyo R246, but the latest demos still showed the track absent of spectators & all the build board signs show no other sponsors other that GT.

If PD are trying to recreate an alternate "Wangan Midnight" world with Special Stages, then I expect them to model a longer Special Stage night city course to the likes of the infamous C1 expressway loop in Tokyo.

Track maps on the Apex book might give some more hints. Somebody should scan them.

Close-up APEX book scans, no track names are given, but pics are large so easy to make out. Cant recognize any of the, although bottom one looks like(but isnt) a variation of Catalunya circuit.

APEX book mystery circuits Close Up.+

Maxistsu, i believe the Pit lanes are only for Circuit themes(only Looped not allowing Point to Point), others like Toscana and Alaska will not have pitlanes as they are rally stages and can be set to Point to Point.

It appears that Tokyo Bay isnt a dockside theme like we thought, its the course maker circuit where the new Karting video is set.

Looking at it, neither Tokyo or Bay come to mind ahahaha, no neon sea of buildings and no water!

Whit coursemaker, is there a option to have a pitlane? becaus every track should have one. its a big thing for long races.?

I was wondering about the same thing.
People aren't talking about the course maker nearly enough.
I think it is the single greatest new feature of the game.

5:45pm EST

Watching this stream i spotted the "other" gravel Course Maker theme as LIEGE aka Belgian High Fens, so no Spa theme.

Time was later in day, so it was dark, judging from the camera movement, this theme is more "bumpy" but less sloping than Toscana or Eiger. which have much elevation changes but not much road character.

7:26pm:

Further inspection of the ABYSSEFX stream i spotted TOKYO BAY karting track using the DRIVING PARK logo in the load screen...so driving park is back, to what extent who knows, presumably the "gymkhana" layout among other things...

7:38:

currentluy watching Eiger K trail. those titanium indestructible barriers are pissing me off.

Cant cut into the apex because barriers block you, road is nice and narrow, but the layout is bland, Grand Canyon was more exciting...hopefully the physics will fill the void the layouts leave.
The narrow roads save this from being a disaster...a few hairpins thrown in , most were uphill but the fact that the barriers were so close meantt he driver couldnt clip the apex tight enough...

long track, took the driver upwards of 6-7 minutes for 1 lap (not good driving)

Scenery is bland, which is surprising, because Eiger Short has great visuals, but this just seems like the backside of the mountain, just grass and dirt and supermega indestructible barrriers...

7:50:

hes about to fire up toscana road theme known as Toscana (asphalte, or Tarmac in english), looks justlike first course maker vid, but roads can get much more narrow(big smiles!)

7:55:

Alaska Course maker, width at default roads are SUPER wide, nice dusky look to it, so you can select time of day, it was also snowing the 2nd time around....

STILL no demo of the POINT TO POINT feature ...urgh

Im seriously harassing this guy to try it, he was doing some B spec, and says you cant 'advance time" like GT4, so 24h race is 8hrs, instead he said we can stop and save during enduros.

9pm:

After like an HOUR of trying to get this guy to understand what POINT TO POINT MEANS, he finally went thru a few of the Themes to check, none of them had it...maybe its something that gets unlocked with the GT Rally challenge..........

Obviously;y SOME tracks will not have PTP mainly the circuit themes. but this image from GT.com is confirmation of the existence of Point to point in course maker.

So its just yet to be unlocked\discovered.

Is this one of those car previews Amar was reffering to? The info scrolling across the bottom while thats happening seems to suggest so.

Wow... if that's what the demo deal looks like, that's AMAZING! [To me,] The biggest disappointment of GT4 was that there was no info on the cars. Not having info on each car just makes it seem pointless to feature the car. You know nothing about them and don't have any info on them. They are just... there. No story, no stats, no history... just makes their appearance in a racing game feel flat. Great to see it back. I'd surely love to drive the heck out of a Ferrari F430 (because I'm not really a fan of the 458 Italia's style) in GT5.

Oh man, why couldn't PD have made this trail a tarmac one?!

Hmmmm. Looking at that, I'm afraid Polyphony might have put all their attention into making the rally circuits look great, but at the expense of the normal circuits. Eiger looks fantastic, but SSR7 and Cape Ring look pretty bland.

Just saw the direct feed of the K Trail, And it's pretty epic, but mostly gravel :(
Big elevation changes and lots of turns. Long, lap time over 4 mins

SSR7 isn't bland especially with the rain. And it's a ******* long course including the tunnel which would sound great to anyone with full 7.1 system.

So do you guys know if there's gonna be some sort of 0-400m or max speed track. Or is it gonna be possible to just make a straight line in the course maker?

You can make a straight line in the course maker so that shouldn't be a problem. Just make a point to point track and put the complexity of each sector to 0 and the width to maximum. Preferably use a theme with little elevation.

Since when was point to point confirmed? Even if it were, how can you measure 0-400 or 1000 times if you can't set a timer to start when you leave the start line and finish at 400m/1000m? I don't think course editor is going to solve this.
