You can make a straight line in the course maker so that shouldn't be a problem. Just make a point to point track and put the complexity of each sector to 0 and the width to maximum. Preferably use a theme with little elevation.

I think your over estimating the capabilities of the course generator.

Not really, he never said anything about choosing elevation or deciding specifically how the track is gonna be. He just said you could choose a theme with low elevation differences, set the sector and corner complexity to -5 (it can go lower than 0).

yes, and complexity -5 means straight line. has been shown in one of the vids already. we just need the possibility to make point to point tracks :).

but you probably can use SS7 for Top Speed also, the track should be long enough IMO.

Actually you mean Corner Sharpness.

After watching JUSTIN TV, it looks like Arcade Mode is similar to GT4, there is no Home Garage, a vehicle that is selected as a favorites is from among the available cars within the Arcade Mode. Also I don't know if the laps are fixed or could be adjusted like Prologue. The one thing that Arcade Mode could do was allow you to create longer race on tracks that didn't have that option in Career Mode.

Just saw more LIEGE course maker, thers a PIT area??? wtf.

With full section complexity and corner sharpness he was able to make a REALLY twisty winding stage, if onyl he set the width lower than 5!!!

No point to point option at Alaska. wtf.

Weather options it can snow or not. Static.

Judging by the PS.eu.blog post, it's just about the Madrid Launch party, and other PR related things. Not any extra content or anything.
Why would the Madrid launch party "send your excitement into overdrive"?

I was hoping the whole "I still believe there are more cars/tracks" thing would just be over with after amar's overview, but one little twit that doesn't say anything about DLC or extra-content gets everyone crazy again, it's hopeless.

"New Stage", "Bay Side".
I think this hints that the closed road continuing after the last chicane in SSR5 could be directed towards SSR7.

Now that a couple of people have the game, hopefully we can get some actual insight into just how many circuits there are ...

Considering how long some people have had the game i'd say that all the official information provided concerning tracks is full and complete.

Not unless you have to unlock circuits like you did in GT4. It took you nearly 300 days of in-game racing to get them all, and even then, about a third of them were available from the beginning.

We had to unlock circuits in GT4? I don't remember! It's been a while, hehe.
Anyways, I think there's no point in expecting more than PD & Sony are advertising. They wanna sell the product and they're telling us what are the tracks in the game. They're not gonna hide Spa, for an example, when they know it would help pushing game sales.

Yeah, a new one would be available ever 14 in-game days, starting with Opera Paris and ending with Circuits de la Sarthe II

But that assumes Spa is in.

Wait, I never assumed Spa is in. I think they maybe had the intention of including it in the game, and there's a lot of evidence to back that up (evidence I'm not in the mood to search for right now, but there were PD's computer screens, that GT "bag" with a "Spa visa sticker" on it, etc), but in the end it didn't work out.
I'm just saying it makes no sense not to announce a good feature of your game when you are trying to sell such game.

Let's see... that's the new underpass, towards the loop area? You may be right... I'm imagining a Daytona USA 2-style "all tracks combined" thing, and it might actually work... too bad it seems like we won't see it in GT5 without DLC or something...

don't call me a twit

Why not? Akira already pointed out that SSR7 and 5 might be connected or share a common section. WE really need DLC(which kaz already said none, whatever that means to you) to have this layout? When we already have both the sections?

I think Kaz still believed they could get all the tracks from GT4 in when he said no to DLC.

I would packet any new track together with one car . The car would be prize car for GT-mode race on that new track.

DLC: um, what are those codes for in the SE, CE, GameStop, and Amazon preorders?

As I understand it, when people walk in off the street and pick up GT5, they will not be getting that content. So already, special hoops have to be jumped through to get those items that are not available to "everyone" the moment they put the disc in. If someone isn't connected to PSN, and they purchased a CE or SE, they won't be able to claim their DLC?
