Does anyone know if this book has a ring binder type of set up with black rings. I think you can buy this at stores before the game comes out....
I hope a few more tracks will sneak into the official list... :)

The Prima Essential Track Guide has the black rings, Amazon.com (USA) notified me that it's release is being pushed back to November 30.

71 is the total number of variations officially revealed, excluding weather/time ones. So it's assumed that the Prima guide will not contain anything new.

By the way:

@SHIRAKAWA Akira
The Night Trailer, Standard Cars Trailer & the TGS2010 Trailer.

The Night Trailer had a lot of what appears to be SSR5

Thanks. This is the result of some video editing of available SSR5 footage. Unfortunately it didn't turn out to be as seamless as I wanted, but it should be ok.
I've included clips for the "SSR11" track, and assuming they're from SSR5 instead, I put them where they made most sense to me:

Looks like a track based on Sugo, but it is not Sugo nor TI

EDIT: Off topic. If you look for Sugo on google maps, theres a Nazi cross below some japanese characters to the left of the screen. What is that?

EDIT 2: If you zoom out theres a lot of crosses, they are everywhere.

Ah okay well that clears up what it was, but all I know is that Best Buy will have that on the floor on the 22nd, that doesn't have a orange tag so perhaps they will let me purchase that tomorrow, I should have been a little more pushy... but the merch guys were a little busy with the whole Black Friday breathing down their necks.. if I am allow to purchase that I will upload some photos, as I think PD and Sony won't be too mad about that part..... it may clear up some track issues.... 👍

Someone's gonna have to post photos of the Prima guide, I'm kinda sad about not being able to get the Apex book so if the guide is just as good I'll pick that up instead.

I officially want the Nardoring. We can almost create it in the Course Maker, but it and all it's little tracks would be awesome. The Nardoring is where Top Gear ran a lot of their tests like the one with the semi trucks. It's also where the Koinegsegg hit it's top speed and it still holds the record for fastest speed around the Nardoring.

Hey guys just to clear up any confusion, I think it's safe to say that these are not hidden tracks in the game. Someone on another forum I post on managed to get their hands on a copy of the game and when I showed them that image and asked if they could take a look, their reply was:

"That is page 162

It talks about the drivetrain/Gear ratio.

I have not seen those tracks in the game, but underneath each picture it talks about gear ratios.

Under the top map it says "On a course with lots of corners, Bringing the ratios of all the gears closer together puts the focus on acceleration performance"

Under the bottom map it says "On high-speed circuits with long straights, increasing gear ratios will put the focus on increasing top speed"

The pictures on the right of them are graphs showing Speed over engine rpm."

Looks like they're just examples for demonstrating how to tune your car for different courses really.

Edit: Here you go, he took a photo of the page:

Um, Top Gear have never been to the Nardoring. The Nardoring is in Italy; Top Gear usually test at MIRA or at the Millbrook proving ground.

I seem to recall they went there to try and get a top speed of over 200mph out of a Lambo (Merchelargo?). There might have been a 996 Turbo lapping at 196ish mph too :dunce:

Well, maybe - but the point is that the circuit Top Gear test at is not the Nardoring. When they took the lorries and the convertible Espace out, it was at Millbrook, which is not a racing circuit. It's a "proving ground" a facility used by the motoring industry to test cars (I believe the Nardoring is the same thing). The circular circuit is used for speed. The alpine course is for handling. The Belgian cobblestones are for durability. The hills are made to test torque and the brakes/handbrake. No racing ever actually takes place there, except on Top Gear.

Still some interesting tracks from that large picture. I bet those could be randomly generated tracks we see on the track editor. Maybe. I'm still going to do my best to get down some layouts close enough to real world tracks. It'll be an undertaking but I'm sure i'll manage it somehow. And I bet were in for a treat with the special stages. Anyone remember the 'Standard' cars video with the Bentley Speed 8 at that special stage at night? Wasn't that SSR11? Or was that SSR5? I don't remember 5 having a sharp turn like that though.

at the back straight, we see that signature 'right' turn after that hairpin that was in the Bentley video

I'm not Denying any of that, just saying I think Top Gear did go to Nardo once to try and max out a/ some European supercar/ s.

Nice job!

I belive these are the two unknown areas but we'll find out soon enough.
Both are heading towards the straight where the road connects to the Clubman highway.

Forwards:

Reverse:

They'd need to the weird bridge thing over the second one, but it wouldn't be the only bridge they've added.

Edit: I believe the Bently was going through the final chicane after the dip, we've already seen trees with lights in when coming out of there.

Edit 2: Oh Tekken already put a video up! I can't be sure about the reverse view but I was right about the other bits.

From Tekken90's video it seems that the clips were all from Special Stage Route 5.
However, from what I can see the new SSR5 appears to be extensible. It's got closed sections. Too bad that the video is very dark:

Thanks for clearing that up!

The only notable difference I can see is across the fast back section - it's no longer surrounded by high, bland walls (SSR7 is now). They were obviously a by-product of the limited capacity of the original Playstation, but the circuit has been long overdue for an overhaul like that.

An interesting difference I see is that there is a fenced wide opening inside the tunnel that appears it could be used for an alternate course layout, and that the section just before the last chicane looks like the straight with the chicane in SSR11 (GT3). The road appears to continue there, but it's closed.

-> I know I'm kinda late, but for the first time I was right!!! :D
