Just realized that in those pictures, the Cape tracks don't have a logo. Which is probably why they're names look like their built via the track editor.
If that course was built by Course maker it would appear under "My Courses", not under "Original"...
As for the names and _ it's just early build.

^^^ Ding Ding Ding

Of course no one knows 100%, but the above (which others have mentioned before) is, by far, the most likely scenario.

So why is there no Road Atlanta? :( It'd just seem right to have with the Le Mans cars in the game. Even Sebring.

We don't know that they aren't in. However, we have no evidence that they will be either.

In PD's defense, they weren't the most requested tracks. Even though they are both great.

Eh, IMO Road Atlanta is top 5 best tracks in the world. It demands huge balls and allows no margin for error.

Sebring can be a bit boring in a video game but I'd love a 12 hour enduro on the game ending in the dark.

My top 5 would be:

1. Sebring
2. Road Atlanta
3. Donnington Park
4. Silverstone
5. Road America

And all of those have nice long endurance races.

I agree for the most part. It seems like you might have misinterpreted what I said.

But personally, I think we will see mostly current and former F1 tracks in GT5, which is not a bad thing. So, a lot of the American Le Mans tracks may not make it this go around. Though, I hope they will down the road. Especially Road Atlanta, Sebring, and Mid Ohio.

Love Road Atlanta & Road America...Those are great American tracks. Watkins Glen is another one I'd love to see.

Agreed, would love to see some Canadian tracks in there too. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and Mont Tremblant would make me very, very happy. There are so many underrated tracks in North America that would be perfect for a game like GT5.

So as we all know that the Test track is definately in and its quite safe to assume that we would see the Short Circuit variation what about the runway also like the Las Vegas drag strip in GT4 the TopGear run way would without doubt be a welcome addition if the other layouts are included so we can fine tune pretty much every aspect of the car were using ?

Additional info, the runway is 1.76 miles, or 2.83 km

Is that the one where it pops up saying Topgear Test track and the 458 Italia booting it across the screen ?

No, it's at dusk with the runway lights lit up.

The full course should be something like this by the way.
I can't guarantee 100% for the north section accuracy though:

It's hard to make out the details but it definitely looks very twisty, A cliffside route for the north half would make a lot of sense.

I was looking and zooming very close at the screen which showed Cape Ring South, and I was wondering what the other tracks were, under the heading, 'Original'.

Does anyone know, the track to it's right could be the North circuit, it shares with the big corner to Cape Ring South. Strangely enough, it kinda looks like the first sector of Autumn Ring.

Can anyone explain?

Without seeing the picture I would guess at 'Autumn-Ring Mini'?

1. Cape Ring
2. Cape Ring North
3. Cape Ring
4. Cape Ring South
5. Autumn Ring
6. Autumn Ring
7. Autumn Ring Mini

As to why Cape Ring and Autumn Ring are both listed twice, no one knows. But it could be the reverse versions? Also, notice the tabs. This is under the "Original" tab, which traditionally means courses that PD has created.

The left hand full Cape Ring seems to be thicker and use the full length of each course, and only joined together on one side, whereas the second one only covers the perimiter. It's hard to tell with that quality though. Not sure why the Autumn Ring track is listed twice.

The two cape rings do appear to have slight differences down the bottom right of the track. Whether or not that's just the blurriness of the picture though, I'm not certain.

Here is the Autumn Ring layout:

Corner 8 (Or 'G' if in reverse) does not look like it's shown on the picture. I guess that it was too blurry to see.

Somebody (I don't remember who, sorry), when Cape Ring was first spotted, hypothesized that the first variation could be a more "convoluted" version of it. This is my interpretation of what I see:

As for the other Autumn Ring, I don't think it's a reverse version. There have to be more differences (it doesn't seem there are other reverse versions listed. It would seem weird to me that only that variation has one). By the way, at the Taiwanese demo there were two versions of the same La Sarthe circuit listed, one during daytime and one at night. There might be slight differences between those two Autumn Rings too, but that doesn't mean they will count as different tracks/variations.
