GT5 Pre-Order Bonuses?

I just remembered this option that we’ll receive in GT5. Now the only way some of us will get all the stealth cars is by giving and receiving them as gifts. It will only work if we can transfer our saved data between our own PS3 profiles. If so we can trade cars, now some of you are thinking how. The cars are traded on the secondary account. From there we can give them to our self’s as gifts to our main account.

If you can gift cars to yourself over and over you can sell them back to the computer. Unless they are valueless or you are unable to sell them to the game that would be a different case.

Ok you got lost very lost. I'm speaking about between the people whom would like all the stealth cars. Now why would I want to keep giving and selling my car to myself. Let me put it in K style, my friend light pre-ordered his CE copy through Best Buy and I game Stop. Now he has two cars I want and I have two cars he wants. Now if we're able to copy our data to another profile on our OWN PS3's we'll still have the data on the main account for GT5. Now we can give/trade sleath cars with out losing them from the main account. Do you follow now?

This part right is what can possibly be abused. I'm not saying that is your intention but once someone can copy save data and transfer it to another account unscrupulous people will just "dupe" cars and gift to their main account and sell to back to the game .

I understand completely how and why you want to do what you want to do and that is fair enough . I would love all of the stealth cars ! But I doubt it would work like that . Each of these comes on a code that is given to you for your pre order for you to redeem . I is unlikely that you would be able to gift one of those cars to someone who hasn't redeemed the same type of code.
For example you probably won't be able to gift a Stealth McLaren to someone who hasn't redeemed a Stealth McLaren code. I could also be completely wrong and you can gift anything at anytime to anyone .

I'm using Foza as a template for my assumption since it has a gifting option just like this game does. You are unable to gift people any preorder cars if they didn't already have it .

That's a very good point, I've never thought about that plus I don't have Foza and maybe never will. Well let's hope we can buy the stealth cars in the PSN Store.

With the preorder cars, I'd assume they are 'ungiftable' and probaly arcade-only, unless when you buy the stock version of the stealth car, it is automatically sent to your GTLife garage, or can just be bought from the dealership. This would prevent online cheaters with McLaren F1's on day 1.

All pre-order cars are down loaded from the PSN Store, then installed in the GT 5 game data. Then you'll find them in the GT Life garage.

More than likely their on the disc mate. Code just unlocks them.

I see the same thing happening with the GT5 preorder cars that happened with the GTPSP ones. They release them on the PSN as soon as the retailer exclusivity runs out. The exception being the the gamestop nascar since it's got the company's logo on it.

When you transfer save data ,using say a thumbdrive, to a secondary account the data is still on the thumbdrive intact. So what would happen is they would copy it , gift the car to their primary account , erase the data from the secondary account and then copy it again from the thumbdrive and do it again .

It will likely be on the disk. Also, there are alternative measures to getting the update besides connecting one's console to the internet.

Well, they would be arcade only at first, but if you read the rest of my post:

This means they are still playable in GTLife mode, you just have to earn them like any other car.

Some people have the Internet, but not their consoles hooked up because they don't have things like WiFi and their router is in a different room.

That said, the preorder stuff does require your PS3 to be active on the PSN as you enter the code in the PlayStation Store and download an file that unlocks the preorder cars for you.

The same as arcade only GT PSP cars. You can likely use them online but not in your career mode. What would be the point in starting career mode in a McLaren F1?
