GT5 Premium car list

Front & Rear Bumper & Rear Taillights. Oh and I think the new one has Front Foglights. And the interior is ever so slightly different.

The '05 is pre-facelift.

That's fine but such small changes on a car such as that really doesn't warrant two premiums, certainly not for just tiny interior changes. Give them the pre-face lift as a standard and the new one as a premium.

Peopel want to drive premium Evo's though. Who actually wants to have the chocie of two premium cappuccinos? Cappuccinos? Two of them, premiums? Give them one premium. at least they can still drive the other one as standard.

Not wanting to go on about the Bugatti but, well, you know, there's only one Bugatti in the game and it's the Veyron, and it's just a standard one.

Also, there is a noticeable difference between an Evo IX and X. Not only by the way they look but their interior and performance. I can't see such a big difference with the Cappuccinos or the Swifts.
I agree that the Veyron being standard is one of those 'wtf' moments.....

And I think that's the point; Pd wanted to make as many cars as possible Premium, so they thought they could get away with cars that no-one would general scrutinise and pick out the minor differences, since they are only really the Front/rear Bumpers and the Rear Taillights.
So they were a bit lazy, but you would probably argue that they didn't do this for Imprezas and Evos. Maybe because the performance is different (although easy to change) and more noticeable things are different, such as spoilers/wings and rims, or the amount of doors etc

Just an Example : If you were making a Game, and you love Mercedes, and you had big partnership with them, you would include 100 vehicles form them.

So I understand why they have so many Nissans in the game. It does not bother me, I love Nissan.

It doesn't really bother me either; and I understand what your saying. But to have so many of the same car (skyline) that it nearly makes you sick, the line needs to be drawn.

Isnt there a Civit Type-R missing from that list? Pretty sure will be the gathers racing civic.

CIVIC TYPE R (EK) RM '97 - the list i have says its Premium

Okay I just saw the latest Kevin Butler ad. I'll be eating my crow with a side order of sweet-n-sour sauce. The Camaro racecar and Vette C6R are in a side-by-side shot. They're standard cars and they look great. Not premium good, but better than Grid, that's for sure.

I'm 99% those are premium vehicles. If they weren't in GT4 or GTPSP (I don't believe the C6 (non-ZR1) or Camaro SS were), then they're premium.

Edit:

Without a doubt, they are premium

Standards still look terrible

According to Amar standards blended in well with Premiums in a race, and look close to GT5P cars.

Can we cut out the double please, Traviizter and Ryan81? Use the edit button, or the multi quote feature in future. Thanks

The information in the first post is copied DIRECTLY from this "Official" list. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=132309

Then I simply deleted the cars that did not say "premium". So I guess I am confused, is the other list not official either? Just wondering.
The other list is a sticky and an approved list, so it passes for official. Your list is not an official GTPlanet list, even though it is a edited copy, so the word official is unnecessary and miss-leading.

We get quite a few threads created with the word official in them, but it's always removed, unless it's a WRS thread or created/approved by Jordan.

in jest, i do have a giggle at people who mention duplicate cars. i believe straight out PD made duplicate cars simply because it was easy to do so. maybe a minor facelift, slightly different instrument panel, maybe a few bhp more.....

....but they can use an older model, duplicate it and add it as a new model. they would not create every single premium from scratch, believe me! the production time would far outweigh the benefits.

personally, im very happy with the list but my only gripe (not a gripe until i test the game) is how the standard cars drive, sound, feel and view. in view i mean when im driving the car if i feel part of it like the premiums portray. I really hope they have nailed it so that the standards dont feel sub-standard and the premiums are a class ahead. obviously in terms of visuals i understand, but physics and sound i hope.

But they don't appear in the premium cars list.

But they don't appear in the premium cars list.

From the car list:

P Chevrolet Camaro SS RM ‘10
P Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) RM ‘06

You see that RM next to it? That means racing modification. What you're seeing is the racing mod version of both cars.

Unfortunately there is only like 18 RM'able cars in the game, which kind of diminishes it's usefulness as a feature.

Well it could mean you could buy those cars pre-RM'd instead; PD wouldn't only have 17 cars RM-able..

Ah. Didn't know that. Thanks.

Sorry, but I'm on my Nintendo Wii (it views GTPlanet better than my PS3) and it is impossible to copy and paste in order to edit the previously made comment into my freshly made post, especially if someone makes a post which I want to comment on while I'm already posting (confused? ;))

To be honest, seeing only the premiums is impresive. I take back what I´ve said before about there being "only" 200 premiums. This is more than most games, plus my favorites are premium. Still missing Ruf and another bunch, though.

I was saying the same thing man, then I thought to myself damn its still 800 cars to drive. I know I will not have more than 70 cars in my garage.

All I know is that I'll have my Citroen C4 VTS and my Fiat 500 Lounge to keep me happy :D
As well as some others, of course :sly:
But seriously, I never used over 100 cars in GT4, let alone 200, so I won't here. And I'll try to drive Premiums only, unless forced to drive Standards. Oh, how good it will be to open the disc case and hear the light 'pop', and to flick through the manual before putting the disc in my PS3 and watching the game come to life.. oh wait, there's a 40 minute install >_<

My M5 and my Viper are there. Plus more V10 cars like the Audi R8, Gallardo, the GT Citroen that sounds like it has a V10 and the best sounding V10 ever, the LFA. Enough for me as I´m a V10 lover.

I will get this cause Im a gran turismo fan..but Im a bit of disappointed of those premiums. My stock 3 litre, 330hp supra RZ aint there anymore maybe ill prolly be drifting the old supra but anyway its got some tough nissans there regarding tuners, the good old silvia is there too..i expected more d1gp cars but nope..gt5 focused alot on other stuff i guess..anyway im sure there-ll be great stuff on the standard cars list but i saw on a youtube vid that there isnt interior view on standard cars? Oh well , a big let down for real..i mean really?..800 cars with no interior view?

It's not that bad of a list, another fifty to one hundred key cars and it could be great.

As for the double ups/race cars. You can't logically complain that if they didn't make all of these that they could have made other cars instead. Once the work is done for one version of the car, the other versions only require minor tweaks and spec changes. For race cars, it's only the livery that needs to be redone. None of this work would take anywhere near as long as modeling, texturing and working out the atributes for a complete new car.

So with Nissan for example, if you reduce the GTR race cars to one car and take away the Spec-V's I don't think it's too out of proportion at all, especially considering Polyphony's locale.

Swift and CAPPUCINO premium.. their presencie itself on the premium list are bad already, TWO versions for each are lame to the fullest.

And we get Diablo, countach and Veyron... 3 explendid and iconic sports cars.. STANDARD.. its a bad joke, sorry.

As an a avid racing and GT fan, i'm pretty much disapointed with this kind of direction. I don't care if there's someone who actually enjoy driving those grandma's cars, but no way most of the GT5 fanbase would prefer these over 2 lamborghinis and a veyron.

and i'm not getting into the nascar thing.. never understood quite right their presence on a GT game, anyway. And we got plenty of other excelent nascar games out there.
