Singapore doesn't actually have a name as far as I know. I think it's just "Singapore Street Circuit". It may have a local name, but if it does, I don't know it.

As far as I know, the South Korean circuit is imaginitively titled the "South Korean International Circuit" (or possibly "South Cholla" after the provience it's in).

The Abu Dhabi round is the "Yas Island Circuit", named after the artifical island it is built on.

The Valencia street circuit is simply known as "Circuito de Valencia".

Heh, had Singapore and Korea already. did add the "South Cholla" bit, though.

others added, too.

-> I like to add a track that I just made earlier, it some sort of the extended version of the Las Vegas Strip Drag Strip. I came up of a way of a more glamorous version of my own hometown speedway. :)

Las Vegas Strip Short Course :sly:

Las Vegas Strip Raceway :scared:

-> Hopefully weather and day/night changes will be implemented on GT5, imagine this track at night! :)

-> I have an another track in mind, also from my native land. This is a parallel track in conjuction to Kennon Road, its called Marcos Hwy. I just highlighted the general vicinity of the trac since the track is too long to outline it. It is a good one-way track alternative to Nurburgring. (:

Marcos Highway

(:

I've got one I'd like to see based around my university here in Australia. Chances are we'll never see it, but I think it would be a great circuit ...

University of New England (or just University):

It may not look like much (especially on the eastern side of the circuit), but there's actually quite a lot of curves; the black line I've used really breaks things up. There's also quite a lot of altitude changes.

The startline would be somewhere down around 'Madgwick' on the map. The Start/Finish line would be quite wide, but you'd have to brake hard to take the first corner, Gate. The road goes through a bit of a dip as it narrows through the right-hander. The next few corners, Robb and Earle Page are very fast and flowing, but the road it pitted and rough. The next left-hander, Duval (my college!) is a really nasty one; it's only semi visible through the sharp left-hander. A long straight carries you down over the creek and then back up the hill to Trevanna, which is a quick uphill left over a crest that requires a bit of a dodge owing to small concrete island on the left of the road. The road widens through Mary White and then Faculty, with another blind crest thrown in for good measure. Hard on the brakes again for Agronomy, the right-hander that puts you on the narrow ring-road. The next flowing right-hander, Oorala, is off-camber before Union, a left-right over another blind crest. Another hard right at the northernmost point on the circuit, Clarks' I before opening onto Nursing. It's a high-speed right, but there's a few dips along the way that mean you'll need nerves of steel to take at speed. Then another blind crest (a common theme here) before the drop down to Clarks' II before the long drag race down to Madgwick, the fastest point on the circuit. If you get the section between both of the Clarks' bends right, this part is even faster. The map doesn't show it, but Madgwick, the easternmost point of the circuit is followed almost immediately by School, a narrow, nasty chicane created by a roundabout. Then there's another steep drop down to the creek before Girraween, the southernmost point on the circuit, which is a hard ninety-degree corner. Then it's back along Queen Elizabeth Drive and while it looks like a drag race back to the Start/Finish Line, there's one final corner: Overpass, another chicane created by a roundabout just after the point where the road crosses over the highway. It's about seven kilometers all up.

-> Oh before I forget, the pit line is on Sahara Ave. :)

TVB: the Vegas tracks are okay, but Marcos Highway isn't showing up!
DYR?: I'll see your University (Get put in), and raise you an Illinois Central College ring road...as soon as I figure out how TVB made those lines in Google maps...

By the way, I'll add everything but Marcos (because of it's point-to-point nature) Into -GRAN TURISMO- when I get the time to.

^ Hmm, Marcos Hwy. doesn't come up? Let me double check that out. ;)

EDIT: Marcos Hwy. has been fixed, here's the here. Click the sattelite icon. :)

I'm sorry, this has to be totally fustrating, but it says "We have no sattelite imagery at zoom level for this region." no matter how high I go up.

I'll add it to Phillipines in name.

-> Hmm, thats really odd, but it must came from a 3rd party sat-map imaging. :(

Just a couple of thoughts:

-Now that F1 no longer has Magny Cours on its schedule, I would assume that PD has a better chance of getting its rights from the F1 game.

-Laguna Seca used to be the track that every racing game needed to have. Then the Nurburgring. I wonder what the next "got to have it" track would be for the upcoming generation of racing games? I'm guessing La Sarthe, or Spa-Francorchamps.

^ I think Spa would be next, GT already has the Sarthe/Le Mans. But I would like to see the Isle of Man as a time attack course. (:

Spa and Bathurst

And for tribute, Jacarepaguá, since the mayor of the city destroyed part of the track to build an Arena and a Swimming Pool Complex for the Pan American Games.

So the original, and great track, is just history now.

If a point-to-point rally stage is included, then here's a possibility. It's the route followed by Claude Lelouch in his nine-minute film C'était un rendez-vous. It's a good 10.5km long, so you couldn't really make a circuit out of it without rivalling the Nurburgring for length. And while the film may have been downright dangerous to direct (the director couldn't get a permit to close the city streets), I think it would be awesome to tear through this in a Ferrari 275 (even if it's really a Mercedes with Ferrari sound effects dubbed over the top in the film).

well, that's all well and good, but what do I call it?

What about the 50m and 100m circles from GT3?

Driving Park 50m Circle
Driving Park 100m Circle

And the Wet versions too.

:-)

No alternate versions for wet weather. I'd rather assume that PD would have Active weather or controllable weather. But the tracks get added.

Hey, didn't you guys have an Area 51 track idea somewhere? Shouldn't that be in here too?

And um, where can I go to post my own track? I saw several user-made tracks and I was wondering where the thread is. Not the one with "I think this would be a good idea", but the one where they actually had a link to their track. And if it's in THIS thread, sorry.

:-)
