GT5 Used Car Database [in progress]

Which days are already mapped for the new database? I have some carefully collected data which I started logging on day 283 (thus, the data goes back to day 279) and stopped logging on day 287 (after which I got tired of stopping to log my UCD by hand after every race).

Should I post this information publicly or PM it to someone? If PM, who should I send it to?

I'm a little behind the times getting a new database setup for post 1.06 lists. Feel free to post it publicly so anyone can take a look if they wish. I had been collecting all of the various entries and just need to get them uploaded.

Before I can incorporate it into a master list though I need to have a point of reference to other entries. For example, if you started a new game and recorded your initial UCD list (day 1) then I can align the rest of your info with everyone else.

That is the easiest way to try and figure out how you relate to other entries in the list. Do you happen to know where you were lining up with the UCD list before the 1.06 update?

My first bit of data...

TornadoAlley: Hopefully this should be easy for you to make use of - it's sorted bottom right to top left, and the second column represents the row I believe each entry should appear on in your Master List #2

So what happened is that I had grinded within 15 days of the ONE &^(^% car I wanted (Ultra rare Nardo) and now, I have no %*%$ idea when it's actually going to show up?

Perfect. I should just throw the (^%^ game out. PD can kiss my &$$

The people who'd recorded the bulk of the lists you were using to know when your cars would come have had far more effort invalidated than you have. Take your foul-mouthed whining somewhere else.

Just a quick note, for those of you with multiple PS3's, while you can transfer saves between them if you have accounts on both with the same PSN account, the used car list will be different. This is true even if you exited GT5 on the 1st one, back up the save to USB, and copy it to your 2nd PS3, and startup GT5. The UCD will be different when your 2nd one loads the same save.

That will work great. I've been working on getting everyone's entries entered in and when I get the initial version ready I'll get it uploaded. It is looking like I might not get a chance to get all of that done until tomorrow evening or so. We'll see how my day goes.

I'm not sure how it matches up with Fastas list yet, but I expect it will once we begin to get more information.

I was just recording the basic information, so it doesn't have car colors, cost, mileage or PPV, sorry.

Respectfully,
GTsail

I should be able to look back at the old lists and figure out where you were. Don't worry about the other info, if someone else wants to they can get that recorded later.

Thanks so much for all your hard work, guys. Sorry about your wasted time.

Eeek. I realised after I'd posted that that I sounded like I'd lost lots of work. What I really meant is that there are a number of other guys here who've put a great deal of time into recording lots of data, methodically filling in gaps in the list, and of course compiling the whole thing into something useful.

I appreciate all their hard work too :)

Has anybody been keep track of the purchase levels of the used cars?

Do you mean the cost of each car?

TornadoAlley, I don't know if you have agreed to continue compiling data or not but, if you are, is this in an acceptable format for you to extract for the master list?

Dan.

I think Famine means the car's level?

Ie: the level at which a specific car unlocks and therefore becomes available to be purchased.

This depends upon your A-spec level.

It is not something that I have been keeping track of, sorry.

However, I would like to add that this is less necessary than it was initially in the game.

I have started a new game to record the beginning days for V1.06, and my XP progression is tremendously faster than it was originally, and I am therefore quite quickly able to purchase even the higher level cars! I am up to A-spec level 20 and I am only 50 days into the game. I purchased a couple of cars for the seasonals and the XP that they provide has leveled me up at a tremendous pace! Beyond the current seasonals, I have actually only done the first seven Beginner level races, two Kart series and four NASCAR events.

Respectfully,

As long as you don't change the format of your records in the future I can manage to extract the data from your list. Right now I'm planning on compiling data so keep the info rolling in.

Very true, and I apologize.

It was selfish of me to not thank you all for the hard work. You guys were always so far ahead of me that I couldn't help out. I would offer to help out now, but I've pretty much lost my taste for the game.

I am 1172 days into the game, if you would like me to help out now, PM me.

Hey TornadoAlley, do you have an msn, hotmail or live e-mail address? You may want to try Excel Web App, I just put 'a' in 80000 cells and although it is a bit slow it has not capped me. Might be better with the extra data?

I think the extra columns would not hurt but I do not expect many people to collect all the information, I myself will probably only track all information for 1 out of 5 hextets. Maybe a column for level would be good too, it might be used to generate the price of the car or the rarity even.

I don't have one currently. Google spreadsheet limits you to 400,000 cells (including blank cells).

My plan right now is to have two sheets for people to use. The first will be minimalist and contain the same information as the previous sheet. The second will be a downloadable excel spreadsheet that will contain any colors, cost... that people contribute. The downloadable spreadsheet will also include the search program that I wrote just before the v1.06 update.

When you say level do you mean the performance points? Or are you referring to the level required to purchase the car?

If I finish writing an exam early enough tonight I'll try to put some time in on getting these put together.

I've also logged days 284-287. Those will be posted later. Before you ask about the unusual capitalization of some models, I've capitalized them just as the game does.

Yes to all of this, but I still need some of them

If anyone else has been keeping track of them, please let me know.

Famine, I do. I have a pre-1.06 list of all the cars with level (excepted 90 as I am only on day 408).
Do you need the levels only for used cars ? (I have also the new ones).

I'm noting LV# at the moment, have done my last 110 days. Can post an update if you need it.

If you could e-mail me your files - I'm missing a level number for about 35-40 cars (because I've acquired them through tickets rather than buying them) and picking through the data myself saves me posting which ones they are and saves you the time of finding them

Don't worry if it's incomplete - if I get some filled in, it means I have less to find :D

No problem, I'm caning through days this afternoon should be able to send you something a bit later:)
