I'm getting an error and blank file when I try to download the GT5 v1.10 Compiled Used Car Cycle (updated 8/14/11). Is anyone else having the same issue? I've tried from two different machines. Hopefully it's just a temporary issue on Google's side?

e.

After doing some investigation I think the problem lies in that the sheet has gotten too large. While google spreadsheet can handle many cells the export function can only export something around 200,000 cells (the current sheet has almost 320,000 cells.

The only solution that I can come up with is to split the master list into separate documents but even then we will run into a similar problem if the lists are extended another 870 days or so.

I could remove the last column that contains the days for each user but that will only delay the problem for another 1400 days or so.

The last option (and probably the best) that remains is that I could add the Compiled Cycle document as a download only file while still maintaining the google docs one for those who do not have a spreadsheet program for reading the downloaded file.

Edit: I went ahead and added the extra file and updated all of them

A few more:

master list #1, days 447 to 511

I'm surprised that there are only a handful of us working on this right now. How many people play gt5 and use this forum? Even if only a small percentage contributed, we would get those gaps filled very quickly. The more data we have, the better our chances of discovering a pattern (if there is one).

+1

For many reason I have to slow play, even if I know there are still people around day 1500-2000. Jaymanji was far ahead of me, and I didn't noticed the 'gap' before going through it. I was after him around day 3000, so decided to continue the list.

Also have to warn I can't continue forever. Collecting data is a time expensive job!

Also starting a GTP_ account for WRS. Will use it to map the 'gap' if nobody is interested in it, but will require time.

Another gap filled:

master list #1, days 511 to 599

However, the following hextets have been inverted, as far as I can tell. That is to say cars 3591 to 3596 should be in the reverse order, same for cars 3597 to 3602, then cars 3603 to 3608, and so on until the end of the run from that same contributor, I presume (but I have checked only his first couple of hextets).

Edit: the correct order seems to start again at car number 3717.

Just to let you know I'm quite busy until next week, so didn't updated the list at all since many days and my Ginetta is struggling for screeming tires. Also found the Vertigo which was the aim of my contribution, but now I'm after car colours, so will continue this, as I have to check UCD ;)
At last until done, or I hope, until it shows a cycling pattern.

I apologyze for leaving some holes in the flow. I was busy for job and couldn't play for weeks. When came back to my ps3 I forgot was editing current UCD before saving, and entered 4 events before being aware of what I was doing :ouch:
Not a 6x4=24 cars hole, but I'm so sorry....

Hi All,

I'm still a relative noob with regards to this forum, but I do have a question regarding the UCD list.

I've downloaded a few of the spreadsheets over the last week. Segovia's lists seem to be the most accurate in terms of predicting when certain cars come up on the UCD, but I seem to be about 15-20 days before his predictions. For example, the Audi R8 Race Car '01 came up for me on day 487 instead of 507, the Panoz came up on 491 instead of 511. This is in no way to criticize accuracy; on the contrary, these lists have been a huge help for me!

The question I have is regarding the seasonal events. I had 4M credits yesterday, and used them to buy the Panoz from the UCD and the Abt Audi TT-R from the OCD. The Peugeot 905 is also on the UCD list now, about halfway down. This is one beast of a Group C car (I'm trying to collect as many of the Group C and LMP's as I can), and would love to add it to my growing collection. At this point, I have about 2M credits left and want to grind in the Real Circuit Tour Nurburgring Event. At 678K credits per win, it would take me another 3 wins to have enough credits to buy the car.

If I understand correctly how the game updates "Race Days", each time I exit from an event (whether or not I actually race), one race day goes by. However, if I do NOT exit the event and keep on racing 2-3 times, does this mean the game will update by 2-3 race days? I'm hoping not, as this would mean the Peugeot would disappear from the UCD by the time I had enough credits to purchase it.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. I really am enjoying this forum, as it has helped increase my enjoyment of GT5 exponentially.

Best,

Cale

@cale905:

My lists are incomplete, as they are meant to fill in the gaps in the main list, which is available in TornadoAlley's signature. From what you said, I gather we're on the same list, that is master list #1. People on the same list can have different starting days, however, hence the lag between your game day and the master list day.

When you do not have enough funds for a car in the UCD, your best bet is to participate in remote b-spec racing, since the credits earned stay online until you have enough to buy what you want, and it does not advance the UCD. (I believe that what you describe in your message will advance the UCD for each race.) PM me if you would like more details about this.

Each race adds one day , if you are on hunt for cars from UCD you run a race 5 times and go check the new UCD list.

It's all about choises , if you are able to do the new drift trials and time trials + mercedes benz TT (for the 2nd time) you won't get days added and UCD stays the same.

The game days in the list are simply for convenience. The list is preset but everyone starts at a different place on the list, so your game day number absolutely will not tally with the list unless you happen to be the creator of the list :D

Great work Clibby! However, it would make it easier to integrate your data to the main file if make and model were in two separate columns. Thanks!

Okeys :)
I've just split the columns in the above s/sheet.
Will hopefully have another list in a week or so, as I'm flying through seasonals for cash, especially with this weeks OCD being expensive!

I still have not found where I am at the master list

I am currently on day 1004
and this is my UCD

Code:
Volkswagen - Bora V6 4motion '01 | Toyota - MR2 Spyder (6MT) '02
Volkswagen - Bora V6 4motion '01 | Honda - S2000 (EU) '03
Mazda - MX-5 1600 NR-A (NB) '04 | Mitsubishi - Lancer Evolution III GSR '95
Toyota - Corolla Rally Car '98 | Honda - NSX '90

guess I will make a spreadsheet with more days and see if it someday fits in the master list

ageha: you might very well be in a gap on master list #1.

To find out what your offset to the main list is, you could start a new game by creating a new account on your PS3 and recording what's in the UCD. We could then figure out where your new data fits.

It would be great if you could then help us continue fill in the gaps!

so im glad i pinpointed my day in master list 2 to list day +20 only to find out im in the middle of the massive blank spot at day 1548

Wanna trade with me? I'm after a lot of cars in the charted 1731-3000+ day zone, and also hope to find some in the gap you are in!!!

I'd love to help out as I am now in a "dead zone" since purchasing a new PS3 and restoring my old save data, but I am not sure what data you need. I'm already far into both my accounts, but if you guys can tell me what to look for and what to post, I'd be glad to help out.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

You would need to create a new account and start a new gt5 game on your new PS3 and record what's in the UCD at that point (the top 6 entries should suffice). This will tell us where your day 1 is, and what is your offset to the main list.

Then, record what's in your UCD for your other games, also making note of what your game day is for each game save. This can be seen in the info for the game save data from the XMB.

Ideally, the UCD data would be recorded in a spreadsheet (excel or openoffice), using different columns for game day (not yours, but the one from the master list), make, model (exactly as it appears in the UCD) and year, but in the reverse order (since new cars get added at the top of the UCD). So at the top of your list would be the car at the very bottom, on the right side, of the UCD. Then the one beside it, then the ones on the row above (right one first, then the left one), etc.

This I can do. I will need to create another PSN account though as I don't want to scrap my other two games (they came with as data transfer). Hopefully, I will have day 1 posted tonight. I will have to look at others' spreadsheets to see how they are doing it, but I should be able to figure it out and get some data together.

It should not be necessary to create a PSN account, as the UCD is totally offline. Once you run gt5 in the newly created account and make note of the top 6 cars, you can exit and delete the new account right away.

Ahhhh, yes. You are quite right. I don't NEED to sign in to load up GT5.

Now, after reading both your posts, I am a bit confused. You said "top" 6 cars. Shouldn't it be bottom 6 of the UCD, since as you pointed out, new cars come in at the top?

Apparently, TornadoAlley's latest updated list from 8/20 is more accurate than the database at GT5Cars. I get no match at GT5Cars, however, I match at day 61 on TornandoAlley's list. That would be Master List 1, Day 61. All specifics about the cars match exactly.
