GT5 Used Car Database [in progress]

Apparently, TornadoAlley's latest updated list from 8/20 is more accurate than the database at GT5Cars. I get no match at GT5Cars, however, I match at day 61 on TornandoAlley's list. That would be Master List 1, Day 61. All specifics about the cars match exactly.

I haven't completely abandoned the list just been really busy the last month with work. I will work on getting everyone's info put into the list in the next week or so.
 
Ok, so if I am understanding all of this and reading the Master List correctly, I will not have anything particularly useful to contribute until Master List day 447, which is 153 games days away for me. That is using one of my UCDs from my 2 active accounts not the dummy account I used to map my 1st day (Which, if I also understand correctly from Famine, will be the exact same every single time I start a new account). I am about to switch and see if I will be is a position to map anything sooner from my other account.

UPDATE: Already in a dead spot on my other account. :(

Now, after reading both your posts, I am a bit confused. You said "top" 6 cars. Shouldn't it be bottom 6 of the UCD, since as you pointed out, new cars come in at the top?

We normally associate the 6 newest cars with the game day indicated in the XMB. So in a brand new game, you would have day 1 cars on top, followed by "day 0" cars, then "day -1" cars and then "day -2" and "day -3" cars at the bottom.

Once the master list is updated, you should find that the first gap actually starts at day 863 (on master list #1).

Is anyone else concerned that the big 2.0 update coming in October is going to mess with the UCD order? I really hope it doesn't but if it does it will be hard for me to find the motivation to start all over again.

I also didn't make many updates due to work. Still stuck around day 3400. Secondary account around day 500 proceeding to 1200+ hole via b-spec remote hosting.
 
In working on updating the list I found a few entries from segovia and CLIBBY34 of a:
Mercedes-Benz - CLK-LM Race Car '98
I don't have that car in my list of possible cars. Is it possible you meant the:
Mercedes-Benz - CLK-GTR Race Car '98

Found one more entry I'm not sure what to do with from segovia.
On day 533 you have a Toyota - SOARER CX 2WD '98 and there isn't any car like that in the list. If you meant the Daihatsu - STORIA CX 2WD '98 then that is pretty close.

It was an LM all along, they corrected the name with one of the updates:

As for the SOARER, I see there was a STORIA on the row just above or below, so it's probably a transcription error on my part. I will try to load an old save game and confirm (my guess is that it would actually be a Toyota SOARER, I would just have gotten the rest of the model name wrong).

EDIT: Hmm... didn't know about this spec 2.0 update coming. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

It seems I'm on List 2, and in a dead zone.

What's interesting is that the dead zone has cars in the Excel spreadsheet, but they don't match up for me at all.

My game day 763 was ML2 day 765, and it matches for 200-300 days after that, but then it goes wrong. Hopefully I'll be able to check things later and find out exactly where it goes off.

Alright I'll get that name changed in all of the files. I never noticed the issue until this update.

I'll change the other entry to the SOARER for now.

Ok, I can now confirm that it should have been a Toyota - SOARER 430SCV '01.

I don't know if you saw my earlier messages about some hextets being inverted. Starting on day 599, hextets [3591, 3596], [3597, 3602], ... , [3711, 3716] should have the order of the six cars within each inverted, and same thing for hextet [3765, 3770] (this last being an isolated case).

Also, car no. 3764 should be an NSX '01 instead of an NSX '90.
 
All sheets have been updated and all names checked for errors (including any capitalization inconsistencies). segovia I think I got all of your corrections put in. CLIBBY34's data is put in although I think he is off one day but I can't check until I get that far. I'm sure the data is useful and can easily be shifted one day if needed.

I checked against my initial garage (listed at the top of the sheet) and pulled up an old version of my excel file - I have messed up the correlation between my day and the master day at some point.
So all cars need to be shifted back 1 day = 6 slots. ie. day 1076 should read day 1075.

I have corrected the googledocs sheet.

By the way, would you guys prefer a new document / sheet for each of my updates, or is a ok for me to update it regularly as I go along?

I'll get that fixed. I like updating one sheet as that shows up in my google docs page automatically. But if you prefer a new document that is fine as well.
 
Still in a dead spot in the TornadoAlley's updated database on one account. The other is matching and I am at day 297. However, the next gap is indeed at day 863 and at my current rate of advance, it could be a month before I get get there. :(

On a side note, a big thanks to TornadoAlley for maintaining this. I looked at the structure of the database for the first time yesterday and it is definitely not a hobby project. This is growing into a real PIA, so thank you for helping the entire community out by maintaining this.

On another side note, who maintains GT5Cars.com and do they have your updated work?

He's a member of our community too. His nick is encoded, and when not too busy adds new entries of Tornadoalley lists in gt5cars database.
 
A little update:

master list #1, days 863 to 901

Making their first appearance in list #1: Mitsubishi - CZ-3 Tarmac '01 (day 885) and Pontiac - Sunfire GXP Concept '02 (day 889).

TornadoAlley: I believe you were keeping track of cars having yet to appear in list #1. Could you post the list of the ones still left, if you have it handy?

Edit: Spoon - S2000 '00 on day 908!

segovia. Right now I have 9 cars as never being seen in list #1 (after your previous post it is down to 8).

The 400R appears on day 928. I'll post another spreadsheet tonight or tomorrow.

Edit: I've just come across the Audi - R8 LMS Race Car (Team Playstation) '09 on day 933 -- it's not on your list, but it doesn't seem like it was already on master list #1.

CLIBBY34 is correct.

And I forgot to mention that I think you (CLIBBY34) had a numbering error in your sheet around day 1146 for the master days and for your game days (also at 1146). I've corrected it in my sheets but you might want to take a look at that.

I had a quick look, and everything seems "normal", i.e. unaffected by the update. That's including an account on day 1.
