I'm struggling with times around 1.51 flat, hopefully the Lexus will be consistent :) Also this is my first time on this circuit ever in a game so I have to improve my driving line here 👍

This is my 1000 post!!

Thanks JP, when this GT500 series of spot races dies I might try the same with Group C cars, if interest was keen,

I'm actually worried about running these GT500 cars at Fuji, because the Supra's top out very quickly, around 306KPH and the front stretch might become somewhat of a problem for the Supra, same with the 2 long stretches at Spa, they might top out just over the top of Eau Rouge,

That could be an issue with the Supra. I just happened to pull out the Stealth NSX a couple of nights ago and recall the stock tranny tops out around 350 km/h which is a bit bizarre for a GT500 car but it may be that way to take advantage of the torque curve. Just be sure and do some serious hard testing on the Supra because from experience I know how much it really blows to set up a good pass and hit the rev limiter and be denied:banghead:

Jp I'll probably run all the LM's in a test race and see which are equal and which are not then eliminate them. Hopefully I'll get some what of a grid out it'

Never thought of the LM cars and they don't get a lot of love in the game, almost forgotten really. Lots of good cars there too. The Lambo GT500 might fit in with them, although I believe the LM have slightly more downforce, up to 50/70 I believe. I drove the HSV last night at Monza doing some testing and tuning in a Pure Lounge and the car was on rails even on RH tires. Stock it had a slight bit of understeer but it was easy to tune out. The update has really made GT500 racing much easier and more forgiving on the harder compounds and should make for closer racing.

oh cock as james may would say. Been called in for open evening at school and it means i'll miss this :(. The Lexus Petronas is free now :(

Not bad considering this is your first time driving on this circuit. But if I recall it correctly, then the same circuit was also on GT4. Explains why I know it so well  .

As for times, I've been getting 1:51.00x as a constant but 1:50.833 as a best lap time. I think it's possible to get a high 49 laptime though :) . Oh, and congratulations on your 1,000th post :gtpflag: .

I remember mine like it was yesterday. And just like age the next 1000 come even faster!

I'm glad some of you guys are runing 1'51's because that's were I'm at now. I do believe my Xanavi GTR should be running 1'50's come Tuesday once I learn and lay down a good line finally. This track teaches you throttle control above most'

Dave put me down as a reserve if you want, I wont be racing but whenever your short I can help out to up the numbers.

BAZ, you can take the Petronas Lexus if you like,

@JP, yeah that's why I took the NSX over the Supra at Le Mans, got worried it would run out of legs between chicanes on the Mulsanne,

my 1000th post I missed, looking forward to trying to remember 2000th,

also for all reserve's, the Petronas Lexus has become available,

Ran some 1:49s earlier with the Raybrig NSX offline. I know I can go lower. Just need that clean lap without making mistakes. It's tricky getting on the gas out of that first turn. Finding those perfect braking zones are tough too. Once I get used to the car it won't be hard to run low 49s high 48s.

I'm running high 49s in the '01 Supra, low 50s in the premium '97 Supra,

The Weider HSV does struggle in a straight line, and there a 4 decent straights plus the flat out bend on the east section, once you get in the groove and catch a toe down them you should easily hang with the 1.49 group,

its only a series of spot races bud, I'm awaiting word from Orphan telling me if he is going to take the Lexus, he is undecided as yet, but I think its only fair that that the reserve driver's get choice in order of sign up's,

Tested a few Supras. Would like to take the Woodone Supra but it´s not eligable
=> Can I take the Castrol Toms Supra from ´97 ?

@BAZZER, cheers mate, but the field is reset between races, so after tuesday's race, if you get in early enough there will be a spot for you,
as its not a essentially a series, more a series of spot races, just some fun to be had without the worry of needing to make it to every event, Plus if there is an issue with the tuning reg's, (for the Supra's) I can relay it to Chqr as he is going to do a series next year,

@Sakery, your in the woodone Supra,:sly: Just need to know what year it is,

that's what I'm thinking too sakery,

I don't know if you can turn it up, but you can turn it down, seeing as its not allowed,

Does anybody know if no tuning means no turning up or down the TCS?

Traction Control? Uhhh no we are allowed traction control depending on whether TDZ or whoever says so. In other words, TCS is NOT governed by the Tuning Prohibited setting. TCS would have to be banned in another setting. Have you ever hosted a room?

Yea I hope thats not my race tho. Drafting past, being passed, etc

I think joe was asking that as general question, which I can't answer for sure, and I'm guessing there is going to be several squealing like roasted pork over it for group C tuning prohibited,

I've hosted a room, but not a tuning prohibited room before. And also the last race that I did was Le Mans and we used TCS so I didn't know if that was part of the stock deal. I ran mine at TCS 5 because that's how the car came stock! :dunce:

hope to see you there Furi, let me know if you can't as soon as you can, there are several people licking their chops over the Weider,
