GT6 Aero Parts?

I wonder if all those wings are from different tuning manufacturers.

Hope GT6 categorises all the Aero parts by tuning manufacturers.

^Hopefully people do realise that's most likely not the wing selection for a single car but just a random selection of wings available for several cars.

Agreed... If that was for one car, that would be pretty insane not going to lie. But it is extremely unlikely that this will be the case. The rims on the other hand, I'm fully expecting to have a universal selection available for all customizable cars.

I'm talking whale tails..

I assume you're asking why I don't think the wings will be Universal? While there's a slight possibility they could be, it just seems that this screen capture is more of a visual representation of the options offered all the way around. However for all to be universal may be difficult for certain moldings in the back of the car...

Just a hypothesis, but like I said I would be ecstatic if I was wrong :)

The only thing I'm concerned about, is when they presented it at that conference all they showed were some wings that looked like subtle variations of the ones we already have.

Aero parts surely means the entire body kit, not just wings, otherwise it would be "thousands of wings".

:nervous:

This 👍

They've never done that and I doubt they will.

That's a lot of "asking for permission" from manufacturers.

The message they seem to be sending out screams that you can do alot more with your car now than previous games,we will find out in 10 days though.

Yes, now you with all these wings, you can add one to the roof like in dr slump photo. Or eventually another one over the Whale tail RUF.

WINGS
on top of WINGS
on top of WINGS
on top of WINGS

Kind of, something like this.

I wonder if they'll bring back tuning at the manufacturer again. If I buy a NEW or USED Honda S2000, I wonder if I can buy different aero parts from the NCD( as well as RM), Spoon NCD and GT AUTO. Or, even a custom manufacturer associated with that car(say, the front clip from the AEM S2000).

Yeah, that'd be cool.

ALSO bring back the tuning village from GT4, loved that feature

Oh, definitely, it would eliminate some of the UCD if we could buy directly from the tuner.

I hope so!!!!

I hope so as well. I mean it has to be that type of aero parts, it can't be just wings you know? Whenever I hear aero parts (especially the whole "thousand" that was said by Kaz), that's the first thing that comes to my mind, thus I find an examble for what the aero parts are. :)

I'm somewhat optimistic that there'll be more aero parts, theres gotta be. 👍

Ugly extension plates for the front. :P

GT5 has more than 1000 cars, and almost every one of those has 3 wings. That's thousands of aero parts right there.

I think they will increase the amount of rear wings maybe 10+ for every car
full upgraded body kit .... I'm not sure about that
maybe in some of the " premiums " like the JDMs
and TC cars Changed to RM

how about the option to REMOVE wings? apparently that novel idea slipped Kaz's mind, will we have to hack our game saves again to do so?

I think aero parts in GT6 are as follows, front spoilers, front canards, rear diffusers/underbody with rear exit, rear deck spoilers. Coupled with more rim styles which can be fitted to every car does allow for a huge increase in customization.

RM is not an aero modification don't assume it is, RM is changing the car completely. It takes a street car and removes the interior, acid dips the chassis, welds a lightweight full roll cage to the interior, tunes the engine to race spec(cams, headers, sump size, etc.), changes the exhaust(shortens it to exit in close proximity to the engine, adds a race prepped lightweight carbon fiber body with air channels(to allow better air flow beneath and over the car). Bigger brake discs are installed, Dot brake fluid and master cylinder are also changed for race spec parts, fully adjustable front splitter and lip spoiler, canards and brake ventilation along with high downforce spoiler specifically matched to the car are all applied. That is an RM car in GT5 and possibly the TC cars as well although some look identical to their stock counterparts like the Challenger and the RM of the 2010 Camaro is a TC. Seems PD only called them TC because they didn't add them to the game as RM variations, which would have made more sense but I guess same guy who leaves the SRF was in charge of that decision too.

GT for some reason doesn't actually show you what happens when you increase or decrease downforce on a race car, it's not just the spoilers that are adjusted it's also the brake ducts and air channel port you see on the car in order to keep the car balanced. We'll probably never get to tinker with such things but hey there is a possibility we'll see some deeper tuning brought back.

Honestly I am just stoked that all the cars in GT5 are coming back since I didn't want to part with any and I really wanted to tune each one completely, many couldn't get front downforce and a few weren't able to get and aero attachments at all. I certainly hope they can in this game as long as the number of those that can't receive is smaller than it was in GT5 I'll be one happy camper. I hope the new aerodynamics model is sweet, hope they also fix that ridiculous draft and fix the NASCAR clean air dirty air drafting which should affect all cars the same but more so in NASCAR, also fix bump drafting it doesn't work well at all.
