So is the GT Academy the actual demo? I was excited to drive the Xbow. I made a UK account to pre download the academy for my us account, but can't find an actual demo

I thought I'd put some thoughts in here, since it's an appropriate place.
Physics feel nice, but I haven't played GT5 much recently, so can't really comment on them. The graphics were looking nice, shadows no longer jaggies at least, and especially good at Autumn ring. The silverstone event looked great too, should have kept the night rolling on in though
Annoyingly though, the GT5 AI was retained by the looks of it, as well as those trees. Just two spliced tree things crossed over, not a good look, even if they are dropping leaves. Framerate also dropped even when just using the 370z at silverstone, which is a tad worrying.
I'll have more thoughts when I keep trying at the time trial later on.
Oh and the UI is much better 👍

PD have nailed GT6. The physics are amazing, maybe the best in the market. The graphics are upgraded from GT5, its quite a looker. I did try some powersliding, its a tad more difficult to pull off (DS3) but I noticed the smoke trails are much better. The UI is vastly improved, GT5 was a horror to navigate.
I would like PD to prove to me there are more events, in the beginner races section theres only room for 3 tiles, this kinda worries me. There might be more sub races to make up for it I hope. I also saw no sign of B-Spec, kudos to PD if they finally removed it.
All in all, GT6 Anniversary Edition is pre ordered, this will be amazing and a great way to sign off the PS3.

Can somebody explain to me which event decides who gets into the finals? Dont know whether the GTR get counted or not :S
Btw... The physics are AWESOME! The car feels so alive while cornering. Also, I like the soundtrack, especially the songs from GT5P (Survive, Flow and the piano song in the race menu). Best HUD I have encountered on a racing game so far.
Yet, PD has still alot to do and polish. Very inconsistend graphics. The framerate is poor. I wish PD would scale back the graphics a bit, I prefer lower, but consistent (60FPS, no pop ups and aliasimg) to high, but glitchy settings.
Its 2013 but the best looking racing game is still GT5P lol

They're improved for sure but I certainly wouldn't go that far.
I doubt this is the full, final UI. There will certainly be parts not present that aren't relevent to GTA and I'd imagine the events list will side scroll like the current seasonal events.

It could have scroll options, there were scroll arrows on the event descriptions which could also apply to the full menu, scroll sideways to get to what you want. EDIT: Ah, I see that Simon-who-lives-here beat me to it
The full lap in the 370 is the only one that counts.

Bummer, thanks for the answer though. I've been sitting here seeing how everyone in the world gets the demo meanwhile whoever is in charge of updating US's PSN is a brainless monkey who doesn't give a crap about the players. It's seriously stupid how they say "July 2nd" and that means "late in the evening July the 2nd". Is it so freakin' hard for them to update them all in sync?

The European store updates on a Wednesday usually, we've got this specially today. It seems for the US though you're getting it in your normal update, on a Tuesday.

Hoodboiit feels exactly like forza, but with better lighting and overall, in-race graphics. Braking feels a bit better than forza tho. If I had a wheel I know I would turn out better times.
You need a wheel to get Gold in the Silverstone Timelap. And for the GT-R Events. That the only way to get Gold.
