Remember to move the wheel smoothly and if you feel you're going too fast - just let off the accelerator!

Cockpit view is bad at it was in GT5! dirve a PC game and look how good the cockpit view there is (the cockpit view driving feeling)!!!!!
Bumper view is destroyed now too, instate that the car vibrate over the ground waves the track vibrate over it, lol, after 1,2 hour driving u lose ur eyes, playing this over months and u will destroy ur eyes!
Game is not really different to GT5, physiks are somewhere between an acarde and simrace but not a pure simulation!
It doesnt matter for me, i have not much time to play :-)

I'm sorry for double posting but it seems like this is the more active thread so I'll ask here again if it's ok. :)

Is everyone racing with all of the assists including ABS off or do you put ABS on 1? What is the best 'sim' experience: ABS at 1 or no ABS at all? Please respond. Thank you.

I race on ABS:1, nothing else, and if you look at the leaderboards, it tends to be one as you can't adjust the brake balance, rendering turning ABS off useless in this demo.

ABS has been drastically improved in GT6 from what I felt, much more like how a real ABS system should work.

Running no ABS when you can't tune the car isn't a great plan, besides which the Z does come with ABS from the factory - so my vote would be ABS 1 👍

BUT, you should mention that it's the other way around in GT5 for the most part.

The European store updates on a Wednesday usually, we've got this specially today. It seems for the US though you're getting it in your normal update, on a Tuesday.

July 2nd in the evening is still July 2nd. I really don't see the need to rage over 12 hours difference.

I'm completely against it, but it's part of what GT Academy is (even though not really). They'll have to end up using a steering wheel for GT and at some point, if at all possible afterwards, will have to USE a car that has a steering wheel. It's a waste of a spot for potential winners.
 
Has anyone in the US been able to download this yet?

I was up until almost 4 am and went to bed, slept until almost 2 then went looking for it. Took a while to find it but it is there downloaded and installing now.

I found it by searching for GT then scrolled down the list to find it just under GT5


Edit: Install just finished :)

If you use a controller and get to the finals you have to use a racing wheel like everyone else. If you can't cope you will drop, is as easy as that.
 
Where did you guys find the demo? I tried searching for gran turismo on the ps store and didn't find anything.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. It's GT Academy 2013
 
Well, I just want to try the demo for the new physics and check out the new lighting system myself. I won't be interested in GT Academy until I get better at driving.
 
After driving the initial lap in the Z and the 2 races in the leaf it feels like they softened the steering a bit from what it had been in GT5 GT5P and GT4. Maybe it will not get that straight line shimmy now when using a wheel. felt pretty good, maybe just a bit loose in the middle, kind of like it feels in Forza 4 with my Fanatec wheel.

The sound of the leaf is annoying, not sure whats worse that high pitched noise from these cars in GT or the total lack of sound from them in Forza.
 
85% downloaded 5 minutes remaining! I am so glad I didn't stay up till 3am waiting for it to show up, It will be a few hours before I can make a good evaluation, but when I do I am likely to be very biased so take it with a grain of salt.

As someone said earlier, after being starved for information and new content for months I am totally stoked! Leading to said bias.
