Quite shocking.
Essentially, as drivers in the
Electric Friend Tester Event, we are no better of than robots.
We start off, sit with throttle pressed, and occasional give the wheel a little swing. If I rig up some machine to precisely give this swing and make sure a lever is keeping the throttle pressed down, then the time should always be the same.
If I rig up three machines to do it, the times should be the same.
So what effects the car to give us different times?
Well, for one thing different fields may engage us in different overtakes, some of which may be longer overtakes than with other fields. And then there is the drafting; when the AI are caught judiciously then one can take advantage of this - the maximum top speed I have got so far is 158 mph.
All these make a little difference in timings.
What makes a major difference are the driver settings.
Some tests are due soon.
Quite a thought-provoking challenge,
Baron. 👍
