Try this on arcade mode international B by using the classic GT40 (620+pp)road car to challenge 'twin rabbits' 2J (750pp/RH) at Apricot Hill. Just before last corner my car got slip half on to the grass, luckily fast enough to avoid collision with the 2J. Only win after 1 hour 30 min.

I battled those twin 2Js quite some time ago - what a blast it was! Did the race a dozen times before I had my fill of twin 2Js.

Friends who are on my list may have noticed I'm hardly ever at the console - from being a consistent player I've been pushed to only play casually. Summer gets us by the throat, and drags us out of the technological caves we inhabit, tempting us with the sounds of waves crashing ashore, smells of barbequed meat, and the taste of sno-cones.
All this excitement in here is calling me, though . . . calling my arms to get a grip on a wheel that plunges me straight into the land of speedier thrills and chills.
A quite different lump in the throat. :dopey:

Nowayback's time is unreal. I'd have a hard time beating that time cutting corners and cheating! The best time I could do was a 10:34.xxx and I didn't win. The best I time I won with (so far) was a 10:36.978. :(

Funny how none of my older setups work or feel right since my grip strength and range of motion have improved from my last two surgeries. Oh well... Maybe I will keep improving health wise and improve (hopefully) my driving skills to the point of getting within 10 seconds of nowayback's times...

He's legendary. Even has a Clause named after him. :D

nowayback's times are so phenomenal I don't feel bad being 60 seconds behind him.
Doesn't matter what the settings or challenge he aces it - same with Vic and MTM, as well as Whoosier - these guys are all superfast and even being a mostly medium pace runner I feel great to be in their company. Something's going to rub off eventually?
The standards they set keep me from being complacent about what I can do.

That's a super effort there; I'm not unfamiliar with how good a racer you are though, having traded posts with you many a time in the Seasonals threads and enjoy watching you battle the rabbits with the most outrageous choices of vehicle.

For sure that enjoyment rubs off. 👍

Literally a last minute race. Just 15 minutes to go. Not enough to win but close. Fast times from Vic and noway.. 👍

Edit. @photonrider , looks like I get to choose between beginner and intermediate trophies. :D

So, I'll be having the intermediate award please, 'The Toscana Torch'. And I'll be cooking up something for the next intermediate event as well once I get to try it out first. The beginner trophy and the next beginner event go for @Baron Blitz Red , Congrats!

Gad. You guys are cooking!

The King returned to crack everyone's nut with his sceptre? Reigning like a tyrant.

Good show, guys, and seems like an exciting line-up this time around - something we can actually work with.
Throw your challenges in here whenever you are ready - you winners are all seasoned at this stuff now, so you know the drill.
We'll try to have it all up in the OP by the weekend as usual, so that we can run the events for some time.

So for the the Beginners A-Spec Seasonal, I thought I'd ask a question...

Are Friends Electric???

It's time to power up your 2008 Tesla Roadster and take it round the Daytona International Speedway... Power your way around 3 laps of AI opponents to see who will have the fastest time!

Why this car you ask??? Well since it only has one gear, it will depend on how well you drive around the AI cars and which lineup can produce the best results. I figure that in the end, the results should be very close... within hundredths of a second, or even closer. ;)

Have fun and best of luck!

Cheers

For the intermediate event I have a car that I have overlooked for a long time. Haven't used any version of it after doing a brief test when I raced career mode for first time. Time to see how fast it really is.

We'll go with the Ford Mustang Boss 302 '13. Not much room in tuning for performance point tweaking so it should be mostly about suspension and gears. Fastest time wins.

Second shot at it, MTM, and came over to throw it in. I might do better later.
Still not going to get anywhere close to the Aces. :ill:

Time for the Expert Challenge to be laid down @photonrider

I could say that the Mazda VGT is allowed for this, but I'm not going to. :P

The car to be used for this Expert Seasonal is both overlooked and perfect for this seasonal at 697PP fully tuned. 👍

The car in question is the Courage C60 - Peugeot '03.

Fastest time wins. ;)

Nice! Time to dust this one off... I know this is kind of related to the car I used to win the Seasonal, the 905B Evo, well at least by engine maker .

EDIT: Posting this not for the time really (cause I know I can do better), but for the Quick Match like finish of the last 2 spots... also hate that they include the time it takes for you to approach the start line. Even I'm doing sub 6:00 min laps but it doesn't show this way!

Can you clarify, Vic - does the person have to win the race? Or just fastest time? Fastest winning time? Your call . . ..

I'll be the first to post a time in the Beginners A-Spec Seasonal... That way you all will have a time to crush!
]

You must try the 'Daytona Star' event too whereby you get to take a Stratos '73 and see how far you can get ahead of second place at the Beginner Seasonal. Guaranteed fun trying to hold on to that beast as it just wants to keep going, and going, and going . . .

If you get Gibson in second place, though, good luck trying to get away - even in a Stratos.

3:23:435?

Please confirm so I can update the OP.

Put that potato aside and buy a camera, man.
Um, it's not the 20 megapixel phone camera, it's the 1990s vintage 52" rear projection TV that's on its last leg. One day I will buy a replacement bulb for my hd projector and be back to my 84" happiness. LOL

I thought it was the TV - looked like the humunguous thing in the living room of my neighbor - the colours leave me cross-eyed! But he won't give it up - it's a love/hate relationship.

So new time - 3:21:217 - I'll put that up for now. Obviously all you guys are going to start chipping away at your times, and as you get different fields the outcomes may also change.

Fastest winning time it is for the expert race. :D
