Found some time today so I gave this a run.

There are so many cars to choose from, do you de tune a car or up tune
After about 15 minutes of thinking I picked a Lexus, why you might ask? Well it was the first car I landed on around 400pp.

Karmann Gearmann at the Ring. At first I thought it was a joke, a maxed 450 PP car against up to 560 PP. I softened my springs, changed the transmission and away I went. Had enough of a lead before the long straight to win.

Edit: Tried the Supercar Killer. Went got my Supra and went to Sarthe. Totally forgot this was the one I was using to get the highest top speed. A rocket in a straight but would not turn for anything. I messed with the tune and the gearbox until it irritated me. Time to turn it off.

I had to double check the IS 200 GT-1 '04 was a FR car because the car under steers like a mother:censored:. After some tuning it was OK.

Try some of the other events to, especially ROADSTER SCOUT, CAR MAN GEARMAN and GT MEGASTAR, as people with vic reign rights (people who have won 3 or more events) can't enter them, with times like yours you will do very well.

Glad to see you back in action. 👍 Try not to overdo it now and break your wrists again. Wasn't the Karmann Ghia a surprise? Not only a monster car to use for that event (if a player were merely trying to move through the events in Career Mode) but also such a pleasant car to drive. This car exudes confidence, a kind of unmatchable savoir-faire - and driving it around the Ring, while sweeping past traffic nonchalantly, is a total delight. Actually a great virtual way to unwind at the end of a traffic-jammed day.
The great thing is the AI HUB (and GTPlanet, of course) allows us to meet and explore these hidden gems together.
Now that you are on the leader board and with no fear of being knocked down to P2 by the pesky Vic Reign Rights Holders you stand a good chance of snagging a title.
Unless, of course, Cory or some other player without too many titles comes along to challenge you.
But that'll be part of the fun.

Absolutely.
We're very relaxed in here, but yes, when it comes to a particular rule for an event then 'rules are rules' and we strongly abide with what was set down so that all have an equal playing field. Another factor you will need to consider as you continue to participate is that we have some pretty odd rules for a particular event or another; this is due to arranging situations that bring about different challenges to meet.
For instance in this particular event if we had a 5th lap - your 5th lap might have been even faster - as would have been most other players'.
Why is this?
So getting through the traffic quick - literally 'jamming' like Bob Marley through the traffic (now the title may make some sense) - is the key. The faster you get through that traffic, the faster you can set yourself up for that awesome 3rd lap.



The advice from the guy (who keeps his eye on everything in here ) is good advice:

Thanks for the welcome guys. And now i'll try to cut a long story short : my last gt was the gt4 prolgue many years ago. Am 53 now and in (as a lot of people here ) a financial stretch. About 4 monts ago i start looking for a 2 hand ps3 just for the gt6 as i never play something else in ps1 and ps2. So new here there and everywhere with the intension to stay in gt6 .I was in a hurry to do many things before the servers go down and gtplanet community save me a lot of time and help me a lot to do the right steps. Thank God the last seasonals wich i play constantly help me to fix my garage . Off course i have a lot to do but ill leave it for later ,am in 51% in the game but thats ok, i can' t have it all. I will not move to GTS or ps4 ccause i don't like the always online format and in my opinion is pure on cars and tracks ,remind me a bad situation of the past with prologue,tokyo geneva,tokyo and something else etc. My bigest disadvantage right now is that i have to learn the tracks and damn they are so many.Last thing i remeber almost 15 years ago we uploading pictures here in gtplanet with times in specific tracks and cars waiting g4 to come.Gt6 Ai hub is nice for me and i ll support it as i can......end of story.

GT DRAFT-MASTER ~ Olds Toronado This was bizarre . The walls of this track remind me of coming out of turn 3 and going into turn 4 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The wall kinda sucks you in and the only way out to keep from hitting the SAFER Barrier is to brake like heck. I haven't run this track I guess since I got the license. I mean the full track as I'm still trying to get back to my 301 MPH at the Japanese Route X. Definetly need a tune. I can run 234 MPH without the draft but it is so close to the rev limiter that once past P1 I can barely get away from the C9 Benz. My MOV was just a tad over 4 seconds.

Like you I like to focus on a select few games and not bother with every new thing that comes out.
While the stack of games (and just the PS3 games; we have many other consoles at home) is over a foot high beside the PS3 it is only GT6 and 5, TDU2, and a NASCAR game (2011 because that was when I even started working on it) that still get played. GTA V keeps coming to the top and so does Sims 3 - that's because I like exploring virtual reality. Then a pile of NFS games and other racing games - some just started and put away - that make up the pile and not looked at for years.
The thing about GT - and now GT6 - is that however one may go away from the game, or resist the game, if you put it on and have a wheel before you you're hooked.
There is so much to do, so much to look at, so much activity - from photographing to tuning - to do that hours and hours can slip by - so many hours in fact that a player may leap up suddenly and started running around suffering from FOMO.

Obviously GTS is still building on this, and the constraints of 'online only' is not encouraging players to bond with the game itself.
As they keep grooming it with DLCs maybe there will be a game in there that doesn't depend on real-time gaming but gaming at will - races engineered to provide the maximum competition necessary to be picked and played at will - as used to be in the offline potions of the usual GT format.
Fortunately GT6 is still advanced enough to provide us with a multitude of options that make for finding activity of all sorts that interest us automotively. Whether TT-ing or just doing free runs at Nurb or challenging each other like this over a gaming forum GT6 gives us the opportunity for some fun gaming interaction and lots of fixes for petrol heads.

All good mate, I didn't take it that you were, I was just saying I'm sad. But you know me happy to help.

So many events. Don't know which ones to do. I think I have some covered but then @RMan72 and @lfm58 beat me and stuff up my time management.

I try and focus on a couple each week and hope no one can beat me, but that never lasts so I have to revisit them.


I did a recent review on duel of the week using the expert seasonal and I really enjoyed doing it, I would like to do that, if they stop after the servers go down.

I think is out of reache p1 exept the front runner had an accident. I try it today just to see the time ,in a line with the zonda i manage 7.55 like Ifm58 and end up 4 place. The slowest pace is with the Gtr 35 in frond but most of the times the second driver is very close and under 7.50. So you need more than a good tune and drivig skill , perhaps a small miracle .Me??.......all the above plus the 3 signs outside ebbing missury to distract the AI.
