I'm also going to be deleting GT5 from my HDD to add space for GT6, and then put it back into my Collector's Edition box. I may also delete GT5's save file as well, since I'll have absolute no attention to play it again once I get to play GT6, just like Jordan. ;)

That, is why. Dat moment when you get to play a fresh new sequel, you never go back. :D

Welllllll.. you'd only be going back .5 of a build anyway (joke) 💡

"Availability of "GT5 My Home" and GT5 Photo Stream on www.gran-turismo.com"

"GT5 My Home and GT5 Photo Stream will no longer be available on www.gran-turismo.com from 29 November, 01:00 EST.

Equivalent services will be made available on www.gran-turismo.com for Gran Turismo 6 following launch of the title.

Other Gran Turismo 5 online services will remain in place for a limited period. Further information to follow shortly."

How long is this period of time?

It has very nice lines but the performance geek in me is thinking, what will power this beauty? The new twin turbo V8, the SLS 6.2 or the SLS E power train? 💡

With the trend now, it will either be a hybrid or a Diesel powerplant.

I'd hate to speak too soon but dose this mean GT6 will make it to release on time?
Still nervous about a delay here....:nervous:

Far as we all know GT6 will be released on time @Mr P510, as for how long the GT5 servers remaining active after the release of GT6 who knows. Does anyone remember how it took them to take down the GT5P servers?

Actually, I have enough room on my 320GB, and I might fire up GT5 from time to time to enjoy my Course Maker tracks until CM II is available on GT6. That, some tasty replays and nostalgia I must admit are the only reasons to keep GT5 at home on my PS3. Otherwise, I don't expect GT5 to have anything GT6 won't in spades.
Talk about lucky, that sounds good. 👍 But I must warn you though. Once you've played GT6 and testing its new physics, you'll may become bored with GT5. lol. ;)

I'm also reminded that occasionally, I played GT2 on Bleemcast when I had GT3 because of the incredible range of content GT2 had. Of course, after a while it became painfully obvious how superior GT3 was, and eventually my poor PS1 discs began gathering dust.
Ahh yes, the content in GT2 was great, but I also liked GT3 too. I felt kinda sad with some content missing. :P

To be honest, just the subtle differences in the GT Academy physics and tire model was enough to make GT5 feel a little stale. And with the posts of those who have experienced the latest GT6 pre-release build, it seems that a whole slew of changes and tweaks were done. A.I. is better, collisions have more lifelike consequences, the aerodynamics are much more realistic, the new tire and suspension models are great... it's reaching that serous "PC sim" level many of us were hoping to see. And if that Hardcore Mode makes it in, woah Nellie, look out!

I'm definitely going to be touching GT5 rarely when I get GT6 in my PS3, if that. 👍

I pretty much won't be touching GT5 ever again once I pop in GT6. I barely have a interest in it now ever since GT6 got announced and it'll just disappear once GT6 boots up.

I was really hoping for some good news updates for gt6 on ps4s release day...seems like they should to keep people interested in gt6 rather than ps4. Doesn't matter to me...gonna wait for the second gen anyways, unless gt7 comes out before that

Ahh yeah, just hearing the impressions from others and Jordan really does get you excited. :D It's going to feel so great playing fresh new game everybody has waited for for 3 years, finally the time has come to move forward. :)

Did I just read that correctly? You think they should market GT6 more than PS4 on PS4 release day? In what world does that make sense? GT6 is important to Sony but the success of PS4 is countless times more important. I'm sure GT6 will get plenty of marketing, but it will be overshadowed by PS4 related ads for sure.

@05XR8 can you get a photo of it maybe or give a link?
He is referring to the Mercedes suit seen in GT5.

It's a funny thing getting GT6 so soon, when I was pretty sure it would be a four year wait or more for it to be on PS4. It's also something of a miracle that we're not getting a Gran Turismo game with a massive delay. Truly a miracle if it ships in time for that December 6 American release date, but that's looking pretty sure now. With the game segmented into discreet build elements, it's easier to tackle each additional feature with as much time as each one requires to complete properly, while we play the core game in the meantime.

It's unfortunate that some don't like this approach, as they feel GT6 won't be any more finished than GT5 was. But I'm glad that we had GT5 when we did, and Prologue before that, to tide us over. Plus, I don't expect GT6 will feel raw and duct taped together like GT5 did, and not nearly as small. This should be a really great release, and a really great game at launch.

Regarding the GT6 race suits. I want that Mercedes Race suit thats shown in the GT5 pit garage demo with any Mercedes car.

Edited.

I don't know if this was posted, so sorry if it was.

I was just very impressed to hear the US producer re-iterate just how big GT6 will grow, with regular DLC of cars and tracks. That just blew me away.

I think you also see standard cars closer up.
All I heard was, "Blah blah blah MORE DLC blah blah MORE TRACKS blah blah MORE CARS blah blah THE GAME WILL GROW." :)

"There's going to be a lot of extra stuff released later that you're going to have to pay for because we didn't want to take the extra time to put it all in one game, and by the time it was ready no one would understand why we released it on the PS3"

I want this:

I thought this collector edition is available worldwide... so it's not. That is uncool
