As I was reading through the GT website I just happened to notice this:
"In addition to car body paint supplied in the colour of the cars you have acquired, in the future there will also be special paint items that will be distributed in online events. In addition, it is also possible to paint wheels purchased in custom parts."
I wonder did anyone else notice this?
I did as I was going through to see if anything else had changed....don't know if that was there before but I take that statement as just meaning special paint chips like matte, chrome, etc

@vk56dehan I thought about that as well, but we are getting special paint chips from the Anniversary edition, which I'm guessing is probably that blue, maybe with the special livery on it? Paint chips like that?

All guesses but I would say its a possibility to have multi tone and livery chips. I know in gt5 though, paint schemes like that usually(if at all) didn't give you the corresponding chip. We will find out soon I guess.

Looking how they only change pics where something change in the game (suspension icons, removed "id" texts in event selection) I'm afraid it's 3rd option :(

The first set of pictures we've seen is v1.00. Now they're v1.01. That must mean all the new pictures are all after the day one patch. Which also means they must've finished the day one patch. Now they're just fixing the bugs with the day one patch.

You should, no doubt a chronic-pedant such as yourself would find it really interesting to compare and contrast the PD/T10 approach to legacy assets (cars and tracks),micro-transactions, AI etc...etc...zzzzzzzzzz
I think you might have me confused for someone else. Also, whilst I am a pedant, I don't think you're using the term correctly. :sly:

Except that none of the other options are removed when they are not needed.
Yep, in GT5 the icons for chassis rigidity etc. aren't even greyed out when it can't be done. So my guess is, at least for this version, there is no repairing of damage. It has gone.

Sad.

Kaz says a lot of things that are not always true, so we shall just have to wait and see.
A little unfair. When pressed for an answer I'm sure all he does is give the best answer he can based on current project plans. As always in software development, things don't always pan out.

With GT7, if the Amar rumour on here a while back is to be believed the GT6 project was initially a ps4 project, so it is possible all the new physics engine and lighting model etc. has been designed to be portable to the pS4. It is even possible they have been developing code and assets alongside the PS3 GT6 project for GT7 on PS4, this would mean say, late 2014 isn't completely out of the question.

Fact of the matter is, Kaz said one thing, the journalist spun it his way, and now everyone is ignoring what Kaz said and going with the journalist.
And this is "Official Ties to Forza" Top Gear we are talking about.

"I'm on the fence whether to buy GT6... Gt7 only a year away? I can wait for GT7 and just skip GT6 for now. Guess I'll try Forza until then." - Could happen...

Even Kaz called that a best case scenario, so, realistically, this will not happen. It doesn't make sense commercially or from a development point of view. They would cannibalize GT6 sales (full game and DLC), they are always late with development, and they cannot even start full development now, because many of GT6's already announced features have not even been completed. So it's going to be at least 2015 when GT7 arrives. But maybe Sony decides PS4-sales need a push and force them to shoot one out early ... who knows?

Agreed.

Should this ever happen they could still opt for a "Lite"/ service based / PSN+ linked version a la DriveClub.

As far as I'm aware saying "no" is considered extremely impolite in Asian cultures. It could be some of Kaz' answers have been more positive because of cultural influences.

I wasn't intending it to be unfair, it was intended to be honest. If I had wanted to be unfair I would have used different language to suggest a more negative feeling, except I for one am not an "Epic Whiner or Crier", I have always been somewhat optimistic about GT6 not being a complete failure, so I was simply stating that some of what Kaz says in interviews cannot be taking as 100% gospel. People should take everything he says with a pinch of salt bearing in mind a few things: translation, bias and Kaz's own expectations of his team.
