Holy cow about the update and...DAMMIT!
:banghead:
I knew it, the second I try the 20 million CR glitch is the second PD decides to fix the CR issue.

With all the micro updates PD were doing, I kinda got the feeling that glitch was going to be short lived.

ehm.. I just realise.. there isn't in GT6 Twin Ring Motegi Oval?

It actually is on there.

Did anyone else not get the 'Precision Pack' from the 15th Anniversary pre-order ? , it includes the new Corvette and Viper ....

And on a different topic, sad that shuffle isn't back with the update.

So...if a car is in the Stockyard, the game doesn't register that you own it. So...be careful not to buy the same car twice. Seriously, the little blue check mark doesn't appear next to cars in the stockyard. Which begs the question: what exactly is the purpose of the stockyard? I don't understand why we can't just have a 9,999 car garage and NO stockyard. I mean, I assume that it's going to have SOME use later. Right now, though, it seems rather pointless.

Im pretty sure Codemasters took the License already.

I always assumed that only ferrari were free of the F1 license thing - until Forza 5 got the Renault F1 car... How do we suppose that works? Can Turn 10/PD pay Codemasters, FIA and/or an F1 team for a license for a specific car, I wonder? Would be an epic surprise if the whole Red Bull formula training event was building up to a championship with the RB7 or RB8!

According to official website, Hornet is now available. Can't check it right now, because my PSN is down at the moment.

Its there - with a time trial seasonal too. Costs 500,000, but it is a prize for bronze in the TT.

Edit: 361PP, by the way.

If you think so little of a car that you dump it in the stockyard, what makes you think you'll take any notice of it again in a dealership and accidentally buy it again?

The FIA don't control the license for the individual cars, but they do for the series. As a result teams can license single cars to any developer they do a deal with, however what that developer will not be able to do is then include events that race current cars against each other or events that resembles a F1 calendar at all.

I see. Still a chance for an RB* then?! Thanks very much.

I'd much prefer instead of a modern F1 car they include more classic ones and instead worked on making a premium and full FGT series for the game.

also it would be nice to have some of the cars from the mid 2000's as those are the fastest f1 cars that existed, so being able to have a play with those would be nice

I agree. Nigel Mansell's championship-winning Williams or a Fangio Alfa or Ferrari would be amazing. At the moment I'd be overjoyed with anything F1! (Fingers crossed for Senna content...)

Does that mean there can potentially be a race featuring a full grid of classic F1s?

If you havn't already you should go nuts with the Classic content in F1 2013... those 80s and 90s Williams are so much fun to drive!

Once our garage are filled with hundreds of cars, I guess stockyard could ease loading times when switching between cars.
I think its a great idea - trolling through the 750,000 Miatas in GT5 got tired real quick. And lets not forget; if you are accidentally buying cars you already have - that my friends is a quality problem! :)

I pray for the day they have the original Monza 'ring of doom' along with a host of legendary Le Mans winners like the Porsche 956, Bugatti, Lola, Bentley straight 6 etc ...:)

Was very, very tempted, but have played '10, '11 and '12 to death and got less mileage out of each than the last. Couldn't justify the cost for just the classic content - especially so close to GT6. Glad to hear you liked it so much! I'll pick it up cheap sometime later on.

F1 is the spectacle of a number of cars built to Formula 1 being raced in an event and the F1 licence gives you the rights to create/recreate that. You don't need an F1 licence to show the formula car on its own, you just need a licence from the owner of the car design. It then gets more complicated as you also need the permission of all the sponsors that you want to show on the car (or who might have left a contractual obligation to always be on the car), especially headliners like Vodafone or Santander.

In short it's comparatively easy to license the use of an individual car which is what's happened in the case of FM5's Renault. I don't think that would affect the availability of Seb Vettel's own race car despite one of the manufacturers being the same, in fact I really hope they put it in.

And Red 5. Just saying. :)

The Concorde agreement grants exclusivity over F1 cars to the FOM. It covers the current season plus the previous two seasons. It does not cover Ferrari, they are exempt, and it doesn't cover Caterham or Marussia because they joined the series after the last agreement was made and did not sign it.

The last Concorde agreement ran out at the end of 2012. The new one has not yet been ratified. Until it is, all teams are free to do as they please.

Any F1 car older than three years is not covered and individual rights holders are free to make whatever deals they can.

Forget modern F1 cars - there are other games for them.

I'd kill to have a 250F, a w196, an early Chapman Lotus, a 156 'sharknose', an Alfa 158... and a few other 1950/60's Sports cars too, like the DBR1, C Type and D Type. Those would be brilliant additions to the game.
