The FIA don't control the license for the individual cars, but they do for the series. As a result teams can license single cars to any developer they do a deal with, however what that developer will not be able to do is then include events that race current cars against each other or events that resembles a F1 calendar at all.

I haven't deleted any, but there's the same "clear times" button from GT5. Looks like it's still all or none.

This is another thing that needs to be fixed in an update, unless we can click on a time slot and choose to delete it as in GT4. Like you guys, I saw that big red button and decided not to do any time trials for a while.

I would also like to know what the full story is behind the un-mentionable cars that were scanned in Italy (Alfa 155, Lancia WRC and Ferrari P4/5).

Now the game is here, some reasons for the secrecy would be nice.

It's probaly got more to do with the fact most people don't know as I doubt there are many people here who work at PD and probably even less that could give your the actual reason.

My guess is that they wernt ready for when the game is shipped and got put back to properly fit into there long and well talked about update/dlc strategy.
 
Or it wasn't PD at all, which is what I suspect. The words Gran Turismo are Italian and don't necessarily have anything at all to do with Gran Turismo TM the game trademark on an italian webpage.

Sadly it isn't the first time we've heard cars were scanned or rumors of them being scanned and not show up. I'd take a look at what the others just said before me.
 
I never noticed till my son passing by suddenly commented: "Dad, is your game playing Christmas Music?'

Had to get a chuckle out of that; no game tries to provide this much realism - even the ambiance of reality must be worked into the fabric of our perceptions.

I don't mind. Makes a little break from the "Whoohoo hoooooo . . . " that I usually hear.

As long as I don't get whammed - but I sorely doubt Sony will play Last Christmas. The music so far has reflected only traditional metaphor.

I believe they did this for GT5 as well. Also if you change the date of your ps3 and launch the game, it lets you know that your time and date is incorrect so I guess knowing the correct date/time lets GT6 play christmas theme music during the right month :D

You know, I'm thinking that list will get smaller within the next few months compared to what it was when GT5 was around.

I just have some feeling that we'll see some of the old GT tracks again in the future.

Just got word that PD's scanning the Goodwood Motor Circuit. This supports earlier rumors and statements from PD of their desire to do more than just the Hillclimb, but other courses and venues situated at and around Goodwood House Estate, including Kaz talking about the rally course.

No idea when this may come, but if they're just scanning it now, it could be within six months or a year, depending of course on its priority.

Now, this is just anecdotal claim from me, my source is a local of the area and let me know they were scanning the track and lots of people around the area have spotted them too.

Maybe someone around Chichester can let us know if they've heard anything themselves.

Oh please let this be true. Kaz did say he would like the Rally Stage included as DLC and the Circuit would complete the set. McLaren also used the circuit to test the MP4-12C.
 
Merry Christmas. I just started the Super GT500 Championship and noticed the real race names for each team driver. Cool!

I imagine it wouldn't make it any more smooth, as with the 3 variants of Le Mans we have, the Mulsanne is more rough than a diamond plated tool box at 200 mph... Onboard cameras (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CzI93pMhaLM&desktop_uri=/watch?v=CzI93pMhaLM) that we watch show buffeting from the wind generated by the car. I really wish PD would drive at every track with some high speed cars and just see how the road affects reactions for the car.

With Kaz pretty sure that PD is going to be releasing a track a month or so, I'm hoping that they do something like this:
  • Produce some new real world tracks like Hockenheim and Dubai
  • Produce a few new fantasy tracks, because their track designs are very good
  • Rework ALL the classic tracks from all the previous Gran Turismos at least to Standard track levels like Deep Forest and Trial Mountain
Like you, I love all those courses. The Tahiti Roads, Opera Paris, Red Rock Valley, Grindelwald, El Capitain... give us all the tracks we grew up with in GT. Also, rework the Single Player Career to fit these new tracks into them, like they did with Prologue when they gave us High Speed Ring.

Was really expecting to get these two. Also hope we get the full Bugatti circuit too for Le Mans..
 
Any idea on an ETA for the community update? I really hope it changes the face of the online mode. Some kind of match making would be lovely. I know PD has thought about it after all its listed in the version 1.0 of the game right in the main screen.

Only got the fantastic GT6 for Christmas so am still learning. Is there a way to keep my Garage sorted by Date Acquired? It reverts back to Last Used when I return. It's a non-issue but even with just 29 cars it's doing my head in.

Thanks.
