It might be an old news but two weeks ago I was at Frankfurt Auto Show. They had that R8 LMS Gt5 simulator there and a bunch of GT6 demo rigs.

Regarding the Brazillian Game Show, I don't think South American market is among main targets of PD/Gt6. Just count how many tracks and cars from our region are in the game: zero.

And that is indeed a shame, something I hope they correct with GT6 DLC or GT7 at the latest. Home of some of the greatest drivers that ever lived, some of the great tracks of the world, and some of the most passionate motor racing fans in the world, South America deserves it's fair share of representation in the GT series. 👍👍

You're right 👍

I'm Venezuelan.

I can think of several circuits in South America:

There are a few in Argentina (don't know names, though)

There's a number in Brazil:

-São Paulo
-Curitiba
-??? (Brazilians, I know more, I can't remember names, help?)

And let's not forget rally stages: Argentina, especially.

And, so, I think South America would be awesome... But so would every other place except Antarctica. (Spell?)

Down here where I live we don't have many interesting tracks. I doubt we even have anything that isn't for Karting or Drag racing.

There aren't many that would be a contribution to the GT series and that aren't an European clone.

On the other hand, some tracks should be in GT7 including current and former F1 circuits, or that up to that international level.

We really don't need any more trailers like we've had so far, all they show is cars and tracks. We need to know about the actual game now.

Absolutely we need to. Such as finding out more on the customization, career mode, and so on based in the game. :)

I want to know if the basic livery editor is ready. Yes. d(^.^)b

I doubt we will get even a basic livery editor imo. I hope I am wrong though.

That'll be available in the next patch after the launch patch and the Course Editor patch :sly:

Well, it would be nice to know if we get a proper field of GT3 cars, rather than just 4 different cars, plus the 4 existing GTR's from GT5. Same goes for LMP's. Other than that, I agree that we need more actual game info.

Even if it's a European clone, which I'm sure the South Americans would take offense to anyway, I think it would add to the International presence of the game to incorporate tracks from all the major racing areas of the world.

So at this point my bets are:

At Barthust 1000: Barthust reveal trailer (similar to goodwood reveal) and new phototravel/course maker location based on Australia. Maybe some Australian cars in the reveal trailer

At SEMA 2013: Trailer with the previous winners being confirmed to GT6 plus the last blowout info that we are waiting for (even if is not the kind of features a lot of people here are expecting)

At Tokyo Motor Show: some minor info mainly focus to japanese market

Thanks! PD, I'm here, full of ideas. PM me, please. :dopey:

This one is Potrero de los Funes, in Argentina.

And about cars, oh boy, PD could start with the Puma GTB.

Never heard of that track but it looks like it would be a blast...and very scenic as well..nice choice..👍👍

Appropriate car choice as well since Puma GTB is an acronym for Puma Gran Turismo Brazil:cheers:

You should add this to the car and track wishlist thread.

One of if not the most scenic tracks in the America's imo. That's a resevoir lake on the top of a 4000ft. mountain with a resort  Check some youtube GT1 videos from there circa 2008.

track's a lot wider than the arial shot suggests.

this is a really interesting video for the tire sound, much more pronounced than most race cars (should be the Sumo GT-R I think?)

Okay the need to add it, this is one of the most difficult tracks I've seen in a while and the s as well as the hairpin is insane. The elevation changes are great too and on par with some of the best tracks, I would love to race here.

Not many western motorsport fans know much about or hold great interest in South American motorsport, I myself not excluded, but there's a rich history. Brazilian stock cars, Turismo Carretera and TC2000 are big in their home markets, but virtual unknowns to the average GT player. Turismo Carretera in particular is absolutely HUGE in Argnetina (it's the oldest still running car motorsport series in the world) but hard to understand as it's very quirky with cars that look absolutely historic and dangerous. Whether looking at these series for GT licensing makes any sense I have no idea, but probably not. If anything it would be Brazilian stock cars as Brazil is the larger market and I think the series has more international appeal, but it's still hard to make a case.

It's different with tracks. The most famous tracks are those that became known through hosting international events: Interlagos and Buenos Aires because of F1, Curitiba and Termas de Rio Hondo because of WTCC and Portrero de los Funes because of FIA GT. There's many other permanent courses of course (and even some quirky street circuits like Punta del Este), but most aren't maintained to an international standard and aren't exactly inspiring, so in this case the most famous are actually the best. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Interlagos, Portrero de los Funes or Termas de Rio Hondo in a future GT game and the game would be better for it. Variety is the spice of life and South American motorsport certainly provides variety if nothing else.
