"This is no video game. Watch Gran Turismo's @Kaz_Yamauchi's brain waves react to driving the 2014 Corvette Stingray."

Sorry for going off topic, but do you guys know why a new cars HP on GT5 is never what its suppose to be?
Yes I know that in real life a car has to be run in etc, but does the power really go up that much after 400km
I hope this changes in GT6. The stock power should be what it suppose to be, and drop power from there after long runs with no oil change.
I was pi$$ed when i bought an LFA that said 552hp. I get in and see that its actually 525hp, then i do an oil change and its 562hp, before eventually becoming 579hp after doing 400km. Do u guys agree on such a thing? Wont the torque then be affected if u drop engine limiter, hence it being off real life stats?

In most cases on GT5 if you avoided the oil change on new cars and 'bedded them in' (drove them 190miles/300km) they would be close to their stated output, although there were a few exceptions. Doing an oil change put more 'performance oriented' oil in, reducing friction and increasing the power a little compared to standard. Don't forget most new cars tend to be 'tight' for the first few thousand miles and often don't meet their claimed figures until they are run in.

I'm with you mate, I think the whole break in thing is silly. At least give us a button so we can skip the break in period and pay for it instead. Seems silly to have to leave your PS3 running and heating up to "break in" an imaginary car. A car should leave the lot with it's stated power figures.

Not quite sure why you have quoted me twice here?

The point is you were not clear on it at all, quite the opposite, had you been it would not have needed the question asked a number of times, it was not clearly explained in your first post at all and was a legitimate point to discuss.

It doesn't require a move to PM's at all. And yes I did push it to highlight that it was based on nothing. PD made the choice to go down the route they did, why you would try and assign that to someone (still un-named) else still strikes me as a little odd.

Every post made in the discussion is well within the AUP, please don't take it upon yourself to try and enforce the AUP (incorrectly)
Yessir.

Not sure if new, but Brands Hatch is on the GT6 track list webpage. I don't recall it being confirmed as included in the game and not dlc, but glad it is.

I wonder if they will be on the GameStop car with the Anniversary colors, or at all. We have 3 races left. IIRC Noey (Joey typo that I decided to keep) ran GT5 at Texas in 2010?

It'd be nice but I don't think it will be there, but I might be wrong obviously

I imagine the brunt of GT6 promotional media will be post-PS4-release. The local GS didn't even have it on the Coming Soon wall on Friday.

I don't understand why they are doing a Friday release! I think this massively limits chances of midnight releases. My GS most likely will not.

As I have learned, press-review codes should be arriving within next 2 weeks.

Also, there are a few more events in the pipeline, lined for the forthcoming days, all the way up to Dec 6th.
So you're saying that we'll probably learn more when people get the press review codes?

No, I am saying how we can hope for some new info in the upcoming days, but I have no idea about the actual content of the info at this moment.

37 days and not a scratch of information about the GT Life mode. Gotta hand it to PD, they have kept things really well hidden. :(

Literally it means "You've got the eye.", so it's sort of a "well spotted". I think it's just a coincidence - wouldn't keep my hopes up that it's an indicator of a Porsche presence in GT6. They would present that in a much different way than that, I would presume.

I have the feeling that the owner of this twitter account is not aware of the lack of Porsche in this game.

PSFrance says: GT6 will be in our booth
LinkinPark Guy says: [Is that a] Porsche?
PSFrance says: Good eye

How does any of that mean either one of them says anything about Porsche in the game? In fact, it's probably sarcasm on PSFrance's part since the word Porsche is in plain view and thus the question is a bit silly to begin with.

They just trying to rebuild peoples hopes up.
No porsche in GT6 I'm sure. SEMA starts next week so probably then we will get more info me thinks.

:) I had a dream on Monday night that I was going through the dealerships in GT6 and Porsche was in it.. not even making that up.

It was some weird pre release demo with some features locked, and only certain cars and tracks available.
Also in the dealerships there was 3 blank squares where manufacturer logos were meant to be.

No one probably cares about this but I thought it was interesting, my mind plays funny tricks on me and does create some pretty cool dreams sometimes. :)
