Nah, the site didn't even go down.A new forum world record I guess?
As the name says, it's about the ground. What exactly is this "ground effects". I hope it isnt an over exaggerated word to describe body kits..
Look at the windshield banner, they're not the same either. This is a feature that is in GTPSP and was in the GT6 demo. Don't know why anyone would use it, but it quite litterally tells you what button input you have just pressed, and what it does. So that is in-game footage, not replay footage.
You can find this information written on their website, we don't need to guess.
Basically an alternate list, presumably without thumbnails etc, that doesn't get loaded every time you open your garage, for cars that you don't plan on using, for saving load times in the garage.
Edit: Was looking through the concet #6 video, and found something that might or might not be a thing. There is a shot of that new Megane Racing thing, which is one of the cars that is "Base model" as well.
In the clip, you see 2 racing close, with what at first looks like different paint jobs, but if you look closer...

In image number 1 (yellow car) we see 'elf' logo stickers on both left and right side, as highlighted, some form up sticker on the front spoiler, highlighted, and a racing stripe down the bonnet, highlighted.
On image number 2 (greyish car) both elf stickers are not on the car, and can't see a sticker on the spoiler (although kinda bad angle). Also can't see evidence of a racing stripe, and clearly on the bonnet we now have a big "renault sport" badge, as well as a RM style number sticker slapped on the top.
Are these just differences between the 3 models of this car? Body kit wise they are identical, so I presumed it was the same car.
I not believe the same tuning methods to the transmission or motors in the fashion that is done in GT5 will be the same in GT6.I don't have the picture but I did notice the Karts will now have shifters. Now we'll see 125MPH karts
Looks like New York.Is someone able to help identify what track this might be?
Doesn't look like any of the city tracks in GT5 I don't think?

As someone who is fond of stars and space- a lot of it influencing my own personal artwork as well as my online content, I almost feel a good bit spoiled about seeing something like these astronomy effects. Space has always fascinated me for as long as I can remember. To see something like this in Gran Turismo is a bit surreal and weird. But at the same time, this can only enhance a lot of the environmental experience. The unique touch to Gran Turismo 5 was all the airplanes and stuff. I guess GT6's unique touch is with stars and space. Here is what I am talking about in case you haven't seen the video:
I had some time last night to digest as much as possible about the changes made with GT6 apart from GT5. The majority of us will probably think GT6 is what GT5 should have been. GT6 still doesn't seem like a completely new game compared to GT5. So many of the changes to GT6 are making me feel a lot less doubtful about GT6. When GT5 came out, I felt this game was going to disappoint me in ways greater than I viewed GT2. GT5 could have been a whole lot more. Perhaps my feelings towards GT5 would be rectified and addressed proper with GT6.
A lot of the things I've been impressed with is the ability to purchase car colors, racing outfits, and more. I did feel it was a bit silly earning racing suits and racing helmets. I also felt it was a bit silly purchasing certain cars just to get their color. I am surely hopeful to have better previews of paint for cars and wheels. Those little generic models do nothing to show you what they will actually look like on a proper car. It may look good on those generic 3D models, but it may end up making your car seem naked. Case in point- I remember I tried to color up the Chevrolet Camaro Race Car in GT5 with one of my favorite colors- Cayenne Red Metallic. I felt like I killed the car's looks painting it with that color. The Camaro Race Car has a two-tone paintscheme; and in GT5, painting over it basically makes it a one-color car. I don't know more of the specifics of the car paint system, but I'm hoping for a number of different options to keep things interesting.
Premium vs. Standard really made for either fully enjoying your GT experience... or fully loathing your GT experience. Certain levels of tuning and certain features were possible only with Premium cars. It really saddened me how I couldn't do certain things with Standard cars. Future updates made all sorts of new changes, but early on, you couldn't do too much with Standard cars. Standards were also poorly treated. This was one of other disappointments with GT5. Things now seem to be a lot more even and a lot less frustrating in regards to purchasing cars and not having to worry about the whole Premium vs. Standard thing too much.
Just to say again... a lot of my legitimate concerns about GT6 seem to be fading away. It wasn't that I was uninterested in GT6, but I am starting to now feel more excited about GT6 than I've been previously based on GT5. I am surely hopeful Gran Turismo 6 will provide experiences and moments that I wished GT5 would have provided. Whether or not that comes true depends entirely on what this game offers compared to what we've been used to in playing GT5.
I was also wondering if we can modify the headlights, like the new Vette with yellow headlamps.View attachment 81493
Question for anyone who bought car dlc in 5; where the sounds better?
I see 2 issues, sound location, and older cars simply having older sound from previous versions.
Kaz stated a better sound "system" and this makes some sense. Why? Because the camera from the cockpit forward biased "engine" noise, not exhaust. GT models many sounds of a car including the actual physical engine.
Redoing the "system" is in reference to the positional audio and needing to get more exhaust noise in other camera perspectives.
That new Honda is a case in point... Go from bumper to rear camera... And its a pretty big wtf.
But there are major fails that contradict my point like the M3 road version... It always sounds bad... And to be fair, a production car being romped on does make a lot of mechanical noise as the street cats suck up a lot of exhaust noise, its just all wrong.
If they simply delete mechanical noise (except turbos and trany) and boost exhaust (in all perspectives) most of us would be fine...
The new forum layout changed many things. Everybody has to get used with it first.Yeah, I just realized that. I've been on GTPlanet for exactly 9 years and 11 months today, and even this old dog has a few new tricks to learn. I made the changes regardless, but thanks for the heads-up.
I wonder if this is going to be the last big reveal for GT6, or will there be more 'surprises' in store. My guess is, this is it, but I'll be quite happy to be proven wrong.
I’ve been looking at the car list closer today to see if I noticed or miss something, a number of us are really wondering about the BASE model race cars. I’ve done some research I found out the base models are cars without a livery. We've already seen two Renault Sport Mégane Trophy Base Model '11 with different windshield banner, hood; wing; fender marking. I’m not sure what this means and I’m not going to bother reading into at the moment; still going over the car list. Having the option to place stickers/logos on the car would be nice.

My personal GT 5 favorite was the 68 RM camaro... I drove that way more than I should have, just for the sound...One example was the HSV Honda weider 010 DLC - the sound was so bad that had to repatch it because of numerous complaints.. The Aston V12 and GTR DLC being pretty good sound wise from the word go.
I don't think you can this time. Probably all paints are unlocked.Do we still have to UNLOCK paint chips?? If so then all I can say is LOL.
Nope.is there Season Pass for GT6??
I think you probably have to unlock them, but once unlocked you can use them as many times you want.
