I'm at least 97 % sure that there will be at least 50 more cars revealed at game launch.
How are you sure? Do you have any evidence for this or just a 'gut feeling'? Not having a go at you, but where do you get this 97% hunch from?
My thoughts on the car list? Well, it builds on GT5's already significant list. I think the disappointment is that as we are moving into next generation consoles, GT6 has been held back for the PS3 to maximise the architecture's capabilities - to 'go out with a bang', so to speak. So, to find that long time requests of a Mk IV Supra and Impreza 22B not being Premium, or an E30 M3 still not being added yet the patently absurd moon rover being added (6 months to create that vehicle when genuinely important/desirable vehicles that can be driven) just defies rational explanation.
As to the Standards/Premium debate, with so many duplicate cars, now was the opportunity to make many of those duplicates Premium - you have a 1994 R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II that is Premium, yet the 1989, 1991, 1993 V-spec and 1993 V-spec N1 versions are standard. The differences in interiors are negligible to the point of not being able to be detected, while externally they can be differentiated by their wheels (16" gun grey wheels versus 17" BBS). So make all of them Premium, and then there'll be less bitching and moaning about the plethora of duplicates if they are all Premium and look fantastic.
Sadly, no Nissan Pulsar/Sunny GTi-R either, despite it being in GT1 back in 1998.
I love the new Ferrari's (the F355 would have been sublime but we've been spoiled with the new additions), the Diablo was a pleasant surprise, and unlike a lot of others, I can't wait to drive the Renault R8.
But no new Australian cars (despite Bathurst) - please, bring back the FPVs from GT4 - no new RUFs, no Aston Martin DB5/6.... I am not so disappointed with the lack of the La Ferrari or the McLaren P1 as I am with the continuing lack of important classic and historic cars that have contributed so much automotive history. I've mentioned the Aston Martin DB5 and BMW E30 M3 (RM versions too), but the Ford Sierra RS500 is another massive oversight. Add a RM version and you have Texaco/Shell/ANZ/Moss/Caltex/Mobil/Labatts (ie. no tobacco sponsors) versions and you can race that against the Calsonic R32 GT-R and E30 M3 versions for a bit of Group A historic racing.....
I still can't get my head around that moon rover. That's indefensible when so many iconic cars are not included.
