Yes, but I just don't see how you sell a game, much less the best Playstation exclusive, with the same cars from a previous generation of consoles, at the end of a next gen consoles life. GT7 better have a better refined and more comprehensive list of the best of all these great cars we have come to enjoy, but weed out those that are either never used or several of the same models.

So there no official Premium/Standard car list out yet? We've seen some cars are re-created as Premiums and list is subject to change, so we can hope? (+DLC)I don't think so. But there is a Premium GT500 Toyota Supra which could be a lot of fun
Also absence of McLaren P1 is sad, that car is same or faster than Zonda'R while being street legal...Also no mention about RM's? (base models?).

Car list isn't even complete but thats ok. I see quite a few cars I'm looking forward to. Sure theres cars missing I would like, but they can't put every car in the game. Surely theres some 'unknowns' in the game as well.since this list only has 1197, not "over 1200". So theres still yet to be cars revealed!

I am quite satisfied, but three things are still very annoying for me:
- Huge lack of premium RUF's + Dauer 962C (really missed opportunity for all Porsche fans)
- Huge lack of premium BMW //M's (E28, E30, E34, E36, E39, M635CSi, E63, E36, E46, F10, F30)
- Lack of important Ferraris (La Ferrari, F50, F355, 512TR)
- Lack of interesting cars from GB (some TVR's, Morgan Three-wheeler, Radical etc.)
- Huge lack of premium RUF's + Dauer 962C (really missed opportunity for all Porsche fans)
- Huge lack of premium BMW //M's (E28, E30, E34, E36, E39, M635CSi, E63, E36, E46, F10, F30)
- Lack of important Ferraris (La Ferrari, F50, F355, 512TR)
- Lack of interesting cars from GB (some TVR's, Morgan Three-wheeler, Radical etc.)

I am pretty pleased with the cars that they have put in the game. The fact that they pull out novelty vehicles instead of filling voids in the car list (hypercars, BMW, Ruf) is still an annoyance however. Another point is that there are only 124 cars which is minimal for GT standards. I feel that for a series where quantity of vehicles has always been a selling point, it will be an issue come GT7 when they would surely have to remove their standard cars.

I have to say I am pretty happy.
Considering I thought PD was going to hold back a lot of cool cars (especially american muscle) for DLC, I am very pleased with the turnout.
I feel like its almost perfect.
I cant believe how much I feel I've grown up since the GT5 launch, as I have gone from endless whining that a CTS-V wasn't included to complete contentness. Keeping things in perspective is the greatest gift age gives.

Only 125 new cars appeared very disappointing to me at first, however I have become convinced a portion of standard GT5 cars are now premium in GT6, pushing the number of new 'premium' cars to over 125. By how much, who knows.
Forza 4 has over 30 Ferraris, and Ive never heard anyone say thats too much or unbalanced. Im really tired of X popular car not making it into GT but instead a moon rover gets in. Really no excuse that we still have just 1 Ferrari racecar, from the 60s, and no F50, 355, 360, 333SP, 458GTE, etc. Not a single Ferrari from the 90s. Instead we get a few lesser known Ferraris from the 70s and 60s. I want to say "GT6 has a solid Ferrari collection or GT6 has a solid hyper car collection." But I cant. It made a big fuss of GT3 cars, then only included a handful.

While I can't complain with the current list of cars, I have to admit that I expected a couple of new audis, mercs and Seat. Also P1 and F12 at the start. Also Japans biggest car, LFA, I wud have expected to see the Nurburgring Package. I'm still hopeful of things to come before release date. I'm expecting 1300 cars at launch.

While I am quite disappointed there's no new Aussie cars (yet) I am hoping for some DLC and I think there's a greater chance of that with GT6 because of the fact Mt Panorama is in.
But I am quite impressed with the addition of the Bandit Trans-am. I love that movie so much and now I can pretend to be the Bandit.

Model Base Race cars :
Considered for a lot of people as duplicates, this get my attention and made me think that the Livery Editor will come soon.
- I expected a lot of new french cars and i'm really satisfied of their choices :
Peugeot RCZ, Renault Megane RS 2011, Renault Clio RS 2011
A new 208, Clio 4, DS3/4 would be welcome but Citroën needs a better image than the kistchy Xantia, Xsara VTS, with newer cars
- The chances to see PPHC are strenghten with the addition of a bunch of Pikes Peak cars :
A Pikes Peak Hill Climb DLC with Peugeot 208 T16 would be more than epic.
- One-77 : YES !!!
- Elise '11 : Best Lotus IMO with the most successful design, better looking than the lastest Exige S with his ugly ass
- Lamborghini Diablo GT and GT2 made me want to drive it so bad
- Cadillac CTS-V : It give some fresh air to Cadillac, the mere presence of the CIEN for Cadillac was terrible in GT5
- Genesis Coupe : Korean cars were so neglected in GT5, but where are the Kias?
- GTO '84 : one of the 7 Ferraris I expected a lot
- Italian Compact cars (MiTo, 500, Grande Punto) : Happy with that but why a right-side steering wheel?!
- NASCAR Gen 6 : Not a NASCAR fan but it's a legendary competition of Auto Racing.
- Mustang Boss 302 : Cool, I find it sexier than the 2013 Mustang GT500 with his wierd front grill
- SRT Charger SRT8 : But I prefer the R/T Version (We don't care)
- F1 GTR, FXX, BRZ GT300, Evoque are cars that I don't expected very much but I'm happy to see these cars to the grid
- Gran Turismo Arena reminds me Trackmania's Stadium, sweet memories.
- Come back of Auto Union V16, Hyundai Click and Accent
BAD:
RUF, Bentley, Volvo, Spyker, Caterham, SEAT, Chrysler still take a minor/ridiculous place in the game and their car dealership get old :
- No more Maseratis ?!
- No addition of V8 Supercars/Aussie Cars ?! The '00 Falcon is Forever alone...
Lack of Hypercars like Hennessey Venom GT, SSC to compete with the Bugatti Veyron, a Veyron alone, it's like a penguin alone (Inappropriated joke
).
One car for each brands like Koenigsegg, Bentley, RUF would be more than enough for me.

- No new Audis stock cars

However, I saw some standard cars like 2000GT, Shelby GT350R in #6, Concept Video, and it looks good as people think they are premiumized

... But then, why there is a Lunar Roving Vehicle ?!

- And some low expectations that I don't need to add here.
A lot of people expected next-gen hypercars/supercars like F12berlinetta, LaFerrari, P1, I'm not really worried about that, these cars are freshly come on our roads and will probably be added in DLC (or not).
But it need also some frash brands like BAC, VÜHL yes.
Find too much expectations, right? That the effects of PoDi announces and trailer, it makes me disappointed with higher hopes at time.
And I want to say WHY ? to PoDi so many times for a lot of other reasons...

250 GTO is "lesser known"? OK then.
I was disappointed the 166MM, 250 Testa Rossa and 355 didn't make it in, but the others I'm pretty happy with. Even if they get the sounds wrong, the 250 GT Berlinetta, 250 GTO and 288 GTO are going to make for some pretty awesome photos in the photomode section. They should be nice to drive at the very least.

I am very very confused on what is "standard" and premium...why they are counting converted cars as new, and their odd selection of duplicate cars. Don't get me wrong I am very excited about lot of cars for example Ferrari 250gto, 365, gt40, nova, v16t just to name a few but also very disappointed by vehicles like moon rover thing, vitz, 4 more gtrs, and another race kart. So many other vehicles to be done. I think everyone except kaz would agree. Man, again...no Laferrari, so disappointing. I expected no P1 due to turn 10 but PD is so weird...

I googled some of the cars on the list to see which ones they refer to exactly and I must say although the list of NEW cars is not especially mind blowing the new additions are really really awesome.
Anybody know if the Premium and standard edition of cars still holds true or will GT6 have all cars updated to premium.

Those asking about the Supra 97, sadly it is still standard. All of the cars that were previously standards and have been updated are listed in the first 124 "New to GT6" list.
Standards will still be in GT6, that has been known since the first announcement of GT6 pretty much.

They didn't really specify on exteriors at all, but "standard" equivalents will have simplified cockpits. Read "garage" section under gt official site for the quote.
If exteriors have been update to near premium quality you will not here another peep about the car list from me. That would have been a TON of work for them

if the Standard cars look nice now, this would be great, but if we see again pixels on them this would be inacceptable.
However, its dumb to pull all the standard cars to gt6, so much work for so many useless cars. The Supra, Trueno etc all of them need to be in, but seriously why would you spend time and resources in updaten hundreds of pink vitzes, Daihatsu family vans and all these crap?
I hope they change their policy for GT7. If they bring all these cars to Gt7, then I see no rescue for Kaz anymore.
No the P1 isn't faster as the Zonda R. The Zonda R is a race car. P1's ring time expected in few weeks, but not chance to cut the 6:47, maybe it will hit low 6:50's.

Btw if you know GT then you know that they have the BEST car models out there. In GT the Cars look exactly like the Real ones but this takes nearly 6 months for each car. In other games the cars look just similar but not exactly like the Real ones. Thats the reason why other Games get more cars in the same Time period.

Is this what Polyphony has been wasting their time on? I really wish they managed their priorities better and focused on the area Polyphony significantly lags behind its competitors in: sound. If they nailed that, I'd be more than happy with just 300 cars like in GT3.

CanI just point out something that I have noticed about the car list (apart from that it is NOT complete)
The "6" icon indicates that the car is new to the series, and as far as I can see, even "6" car has never appeared in the game, in Standard form or otherwise (Barring I think the Countach). Yes there are similarities (The Speed 8 EXP for example). This is leading me to believe that cars that have been upgraded from Standard to Premium have not been pointed out as of yet, which means that we really shouldn't be complaining about "why is such and such car not premium". Perhaps when more information is available we can make a more logical and informed decision, and then GTPlanet members are of course free to complain. But really, I think we should give PD a chance to clarify a few points first. 👍
