... sounding nowhere near to a actual Ferrari F1 car.

You can say that they set a target that don't include high quality trees or spectators in order to make a game that could simulate time changes. But in this process, they include sounds, weak A-Spec mode, old PS2 assets and everything else that is broken in the game.

Like Slipz said, makes much more sense design a game to match the hardware power.

Everything you mentioned, besides engine sounds, is due to game design and time constraints, not the lack of hardware power. The game has its shortcomings, and so does every other console racing sim I've played this gen.

@wowbaggerBR And PD promised these things will be totally reworked for GT6 (sounds and AI)... so don't get your hopes down. And don't say you are realist, because I am rather realist because I am talking about facts and not you. And I know how much PD is good at working xD.

So I created a Cinematic version from videos @Gamesweek, do you like? Better Short or Long version? (you can't view on smartphone for a copyright issue)
Long version

Short version

Are you kidding me? Did you really block the videos in my country? Am I living on Mars or what?

Promises is their business. They do this a lot.

Facts? Let's see. People complain about 2D trees or sounds. These are facts: in the game, there are 2D trees, PS1 era sounds, PS2 cars and so on. In the other hand, you have a developer who is known by his vagues statements regarding the game development, his giggles and lose promisses.

Kazunori saying that there will be new sounds, after himself said that they are too perfect already is not something to be confident about. Specially because the new sounds, as we now know, would be deliver in a update, not on day one, as promised earlier.

Couple months ago, Kazunori said that the new track editor would do tracks inside a 100 km by 100 km area. And that there will be news about car customization on TGS. All this just in the last months.

Going further on broken promisses and facts, just take the GT5 hype as an example.

Of course, you could be right. But there are no reason whatsoever to take PD and Kaz words as facts and promises that wouldn't be broke.

And how could you know how hard PD is working on something?

The hilariously short offline "career" of GT5 can't be pinned to time constraints - events take a fraction of the time to create as something like a car model, especially with GT5's events having next to no real limitations (like allowing the Veyron into the French car race against massively weaker cars). That's a game design decision, yep - a poor one.

As for the video earlier - you're right, no other game this gen did that. No other game this gen carried over the vast majority of its car lineup from titles as old as 2001, too. It's this sort of inconsistency my comment was meant to be addressing.

You're talking about facts? So when was your last visit to their offices to get a feeling of "how much PD is good at working"?

AI and sounds have a big maybe hovering over them, so I wouldn't present that as any proof. We'll likely start seeing "proof" this month, though.

Well I prefer to talk once the game is released, but I prefer having positive opinions about the game before it is released.

Had the opportunity of taking the Pagani Huayra around Silverstone for 2 laps. This was at the Nasrec Johannesburg Motor Show last week. Car detail looks amazing however the Silverstone track looked identical to GT6 Academy 2013 download that we had in July this year. Can't comment on sounds as it was rather noisey at the GT6 booths.

Pleeease don't go assuming like most sometimes do. The full car list hasn't been released yet...

Well, I'm not going to dispute that because you have a very valid point, I'm just basing my assumption on what we've seen from Polyphony in the past when it comes to getting a good spread of cars from certain series/category, they were good with SuperGT and NASCAR, but with others they were just damn right pathetic.

Yeah, I wouldn't disagree with you on that, because you're right. Overall, the Special Events were pathetic in general. :P

Standards cars obviously do not have the same detail. But they said they have improved it. Other than that the graphics are pretty amazing on GT5 already. They fixed smoke, shadows issues and probably other graphics glitches.

Sacrificing anti-aliasing and frame rate along with even lower resolution track/grass textures and noticeable jaggies around car models to achieve softer shadows and smoke isn't really "fixing" anything.

GT6 has worse graphics than GT5 from a factual standpoint.

WTH are you even talking about ???

Autumn ring even in GT6A looked beautiful and the game was not even complete:

I think at this point you are not going to sway him. He's pretty much fully convinced that this game will fail no matter what happens, might as well not even waste your time trying to.
