I just hope there are 16 cars to race against even in beginner level. If we're given 100,000Cr. to start with, that's all I need. I won't transfer any GT5 info.

Test drives in new car dealer finally.

A-W-E-S-O-M-E

PD confirms time and time again that they do listen to feedback. Hopefully they keep being open to the constructive criticism the community has to offer, that way GT can be shaped to be one of the best driving games (maybe this time with the new physics model we can dare call it driving sim?)!

Just think about this. What if everyone went out of their way to be more polite and less insulting?

Sunday Cup on Autumn Ring Mini? Please for the love of god tell me that isn't final. It's been the exact same in every damn game.

I honestly think some traditions are good. Yes, feels nice to be back at home doing Sunday Cup @ Autumn Ring. As long as they create a lot of other, new, varied championships, I'll like to have the traditional stuff there too.

BTW, the most important thing is that now seems like the Cup will be limited to 350pp. Finally! No more people complaining "it's too easy, oh because I'm using a Gallardo to murder kei cars"...

If they changed it, there would most likely be people that say they want it like it's always been.

Some parts of GTP these days sadly are exactly like this. :(

I don't see why. What's the fun in doing the same events over and over the space of five games? This isn't like reality where changing an event or track in an event takes money, paperwork and millions of dollars. All they have to do is come up with some new events, use different tracks and already things feel fresher.

I don't see the point in doing the same A-Spec in every GT game.

Yeah, it was ridiculous you could enter anything in the Sunday/Clubman cups - though quite handy if you wanted to shoot a photo with a complete mis-match of car class (say for a photo comp theme).

Agree, but I'll add: realistic.

Everyone want's everything and worse of all, they want it done their way. Honestly, some guys think they can include every car in the history of mankind to GT and then add bikini models to top it all. Others think GT should be a Japanese Nerd-Fest and want it to become "The real K-car simulator". Others want it to compete with the likes of iRacing and only offer raw track-oriented monsters. The community is very split, at least as I see it, and it's hard that a community like this can express constructive criticism, yet here we are getting "Test Drives" :gtpflag:

Oh yeah, the start of any GT game is my favorite too. So many fond memories in the early GT games trying to pick a good car with 10k to start with.

I'm all for change. Start A-Spec at Siverstone. Just like the REAL life Gran Turismo drivers. I don't see GT Academy filmed at Autumn Ring Mini.

Wouldn't it be awesome you enter your first Clubman race in your beloved MX-5 or '83 Sprinter Trueno to the sound of 15 other cars on the Siverstone circuit already qualifying for grid positions?

...or they can just give you a race before Sunday Cup, call it "GT Academy - The beginning," give you a GT-R to drive and a lap around Silverstone against a small field of opponents (maybe 4) and have a 1st place prize of 20,000 2nd 15,000 3rd 10,000 and 4th 7,500, but you can only enter the race once, and this is how much money you start with in GT mode...

The problem I see with that is that the good drivers would start with 20k and the poor drivers would get 7500 then struggle in the sunday cup.

I hope there is not an opening race that they throw you into right away like some other games. I find it very annoying to be thrown into a race with an auto trans, abs, tc, auto brake and such without even having a chance to map your controller first. I've played at least 3 games that did this and I disliked it in every one of them.

I think many good drivers would throw the competition just for a challenge at the Sunday Cup, I wasn't suggesting being thrown into it, and maybe there could be an option to skip it where you get 10k like all of the old GTs.

I just had to laugh when I read this. It's the reason some of my friends gave up on GT as much as they love it. Nothing has changed. I'm just thinking there must be a way. Maybe depending on your lap time, (if there are still levels before you can buy certain cars)maybe you level up quicker. As is being said, we won't know until we get more info. I hope it's not final as well.

EDIT: I see the crowd is present at Matterhorn and although I haven't yet checked on an HD version of video the people do appear quite a bit better than in GT5. :)

Am I the only one who has recognized that the people (and other objects) appear way to late on Matterhorn..

You can even see a whole building pop out of the nowhere.

Also on Willow you can see skidmarks pop out of the nowhere. They are displayed way to late.

I hope they fix this until the final version.

We don´t have the year 2000 anymore where half of the track was displayed just a few 100meters in front of the car because of a lack of RAM and GPU-Power.

+ and those are just my 0.02$:
I don´t care if there are 2D people or no people at all. They should fix the sound. It makes at least 20% of the feeling of motorsports (on a "real driving simulator" game 40%physics (inkluding AI); 30% graphics; 10% Rest (like do I have a qualifying etc.... here GT is not good, too IMO) and the 20% sound)

I don´t expect a whole new soundfile for every car... they can keep their effort down if they want.. But there are little sound effects which make a sound realistic.
transmission noise, rattle noise, blow off sounds, maybe little stones hitting the car/windshield etc.

those are some little soundeffects.. if you include them here and there (my stupid iPad game makes cooler turbocharger/Blowoff sounds as GT) the whole atmosphere comes "to life".
