No. That's realistic. I promise you, it's actually that hard to see, especially at speed, because your reaction times are more important. The headlights still reach the same length, but, you're covering that distance in a shorter period of time. Basically, if the headlights reach 100 ft. ahead of the car, you can only see what's 100 ft. in front of the car, instead of 500+ ft. in front of the car. But, it's still possible to drive, regardless.

@ Samus, that video makes it look too bright/easy, in my opinion.
It's about like this:

So far, in terms of screenies, I can make out that newly modeled cars like the Countach and X-Bow have appropriately modeled differences in front and rear wheels.

On the other hand, carry-overs and related-to-existing cars still have issues. The GT86's ride height is still too low at the rear, the unmodified GT-Academy 370Z and GT-R Black Edition still don't have the correct rear wheels, while the XKR-S shares the excess rear track width and ride height with the older XKR.

I'm with you on the 86 and the GT-R, I had to make the ride heights on those a bit crazy in order to make them sit like the real cars.

I guess you could say the sounds of the new cars in the GT6 demos would sound how they would if they were in GT5.

Can't wait to see if they will add the GT3 Astons.

.

There are some aspects that simply shouldnt be realistic, Its a game and making it hard to see in the name of realism is just stupid, Not least because in real life when its dark your pupils open wider to let in more light, On a game this does not happen as you're just looking at a tv, PD need to sort this out as for me some night tracks are unplayable on night tracks

See from 0:40!

If you leave away from the road, then you simply return it! No invisible walls!

Nope spectators on the track!

I wouldn't be sure by "no spectators" on track, but then again the crowds of Forza 4 weren't jumping in the air when an overtake happened. It'd be a nice feature though, it would make the track feel more alive.

The spectators looked absolutely horrid on most tracks in gt5. In fact some of the city courses actually took a massive frame rate hit online when you drove past a bank of seats. I would rather not have them there than have bad looking/performance reducing crowds. Of course if we can have ones that don't do either of those things, then it would be the perfect way.

Edit: Also, at first I quite fancied the new HUD for the bumper cam, but the more I look at it, I kinda feel like they just threw in more numbers, lines and general clutter. I'm kinda leaning away from the new "Beefier" look.

Just tried it. Loving the dynamic lighting and how fun the cars are to drive now! Had very low framerate on my old PS3. Think in my case I'll need to wait for a PS4 release. Other than that, brilliant :D

It would seem I'm in the wrong thread, oh well

You should get your eyes checked buddy. I've never had a problem driving the Ring or any track at night in GT5 . I've raced people online with rain and full physics at night. I have possibly the crappiest T.V on this thread (An old Daewoo that always sits higher than I do) and I can handle the headlight range fine. IMO it isn't stupid and it just adds to immersion and challenge of night driving/racing.

Yet: Isn't this about GT6 and the series that prides itself on being called The Real Driving Simulator?

Not sure where we should post our own GT6 demo videos so here is mine, I'm not the best driver so it's a different look at the game :dunce:

"This is a beginner level event using cars with 350PP or less" Good, now there shouldn't be complaining of using cars with much more performance than the AI.

Hopefully this carries on to the full game, it would make the game that bit more challenging :)

Sunny day at Silverstone - looks great

Physics testing with the GT-R this time. Suprised how long the tyre marks stay!
