It took him 26 seconds to do a u-turn :P Then he didn't brake into the first corner... lol I then closed it.

edit: I watched more, he isn't as bad as I thought... just that first 45 seconds horrified me into closing it :P

I guess he does take a while, but to be fair it's tricky trying to turn around with a wheel, especially if you're not a wheel user (also the game reset his car to face forward without his doing). I've used a wheel in GT4, but I just recently got a wheel for GT5 and whenever I spin, it takes me much longer to turn around than with a controller. The fact that you gotta hold triangle while turning the wheel makes it very difficult and quite ridiculous.

A simple drive forward and e-brake while turning is the simplest way to turn around, but hey, even that's tricky with the wheel... holding circle while turning the wheel 90 degrees... PD really needs to figure out new ways to use the e-brake and reverse with the wheel. It's perfectly fine with a controller, but it's nearly impossible to use the buttons properly when using a wheel.

Did anybody else notice the curbs on the road going up at 3:18 of Andreas's clip.
It might be nothing, but it also could mean another lay out.

Sorry if this has been discussed before.

It's the BMW Vision , not sure however if it is posted before or if this is actually the concept for Gran Turismo?

It was so great to meet Terronium-12, Slip, and paskowitz tonight! It was an excellent event all-around and I had a blast.

I had a good interview with Kazunori (though it won't answer all of your questions so don't get too crazy with your expectations :P) and Tamir Moscovici, who's producing a new documentary film about Kazunori and the GT series. It will be a few days before I have a chance to transcribe the interview; thanks for your patience. :)
Related? Yup.

I remember seeing that concept a few years ago (at least the part where the windscreen continues out over the hood) so it's probably not the GT concept.

I see a problem with the new suspension physics there or the guy never used a wheel before.
When he tries to correct the car to the opposite side, the suspension seems to be way too exaggerated (or too soft) and I can see him trying to put the car "straight" or let´s say "in balance" and the car keeps balancing to the sides at every movement of the wheel, even if he is making it gentle.

Is it just me?

I thought they were gonna re-use the GT5 one like GT3 re-used the GT2 sound, I was wrong.

The select sound reminds me of the old GT's. Much softer than GT5. I think its close to GT4- my favorite. GT4 had that sound to it, like you were there in the race. The background noise was great, as were the little sound effects.

Now that you said that. What I hope for now, is GT6 being and feeling like a true GT game, just like the other GTs excluding GT5.

That ambient noise is missing in GT5. I miss the crowd roar and the air horns while you race. You don't get that immersion in GT5 like you did in GT4.

I totally agree with you on that. I hope something like that will come back in GT6. Got my fingers crossed. 👍

No pixels, but I dont think there was pixels in GT5 trailers. So I guess we will have to wait til we see some actual gameplay.

The snapshot of the GTR going through the leaves is amazing. Its like nothing that I've ever seen in a video game before. BEAUTIFUL

I pop in GT4 now and again JUST for that reason. Honestly I don't care about engine sounds because I can't feel them under my ass, but hearing airhorns just adds so much more realism.
And crowds of people running into the middle of a rally cross. 👍

From what we've seen so far of most of the tracks in GT6 the grandstands are empty so crowd noise and airhorns might be a little weird.
Not sure why the lack of people in the environments - if it's just an early build thing or a performance issue. Then again Matterhorn has people in it.

I presume it's easy to add people in the grandstands and that would be one of the final polishing things P.D. would worry about.
