Well I'm not really sure how I would do with the wheel. I am adaptable though.

Got plenty of other stuff to throw 100 bucks at.

Well no one's rushing you to go get one (well I'm not). I'm just saying as someone who's done laps in the same cars with both devices, the Wheel has made a significant difference (mainly do to how much more control you can have).

See my edit explaining my situation. I don't have a place suitable for a good setup. If I could I would have a wheel. But sadly I can't :(

I suck at putting times down :P

You can't tie a tie perfectly the first time you try. It takes a bit of practice. Same with using a racing wheel. It's not quite like a real car, it tries to fight with you and if you allow it to, you'll constantly be chasing it. Instead of you controlling it, you're reacting to it. Once you've adapted to what FFB is doing, the straight line weave will stop. Cranking FFB to 10 is also a no-no for first time users.

I prefer a Dyson or a Eureka, Hoover makes crappy vacuums. Coke isn't the only cola on the planet, people in the south think it is the only pop/soda.

So it's like driving on a very bumpy road? I've never ever tried a wheel but I'll tell you this, some cars IRL are so heavily assisted that they feel like you're playing a videogame.

If you do get a wheel, start with slow low powered cars. Or start at the beginning of the License Tests. Jumping into a race car will taint your view of using a wheel. In GT5p I had my daughter use a slow car at Daytona for a while. She felt confident and jumped into the F2007, big mistake!!! With heavy downforce, the wheel was whipping back and forth out of her hand. Once you get used to it though, you'll experience the game at a new level that a DS3 cannot possibly give.

I'm not seeing how the Outkast video is supposed to help?

It popped into my mind when he said "never ever". It was meant to pass time. It made me wonder if he would "foreva eva" use a controller to play arcade games like Gran Hoover Tour.

Why are you giving him tips and then questioning my motives when even I laughed at the joke about K. Hoover being a racer in GT6? CALM! CALM! CALMATE!

Seriously, giving him tips NOW of all times? Years after he could have, if he wanted to, own a steering wheel? In this thread/environment? Why not PM him?

For the record, I would have quoted/linked Will Smith in MIB 2 (ugh) when he said, "I know why YOU'RE mad," to that Cthulhu-looking guy. Couldn't find the scene on youtube though.

I don't do Rap yo! Thus I failed to see it. Not your fault, but mine.

"A lot of power...of course...steering wheel." - French commentator

«Beaucoup de la puissance... De course... Au volant.» - French commentator.

It's rare that I understand anything that French people from France say, but I understood a majority of what he said. Very well said, French commentator guy, you actually mentioned the physics and talked about the steering feel.

:D that's great news!

Edit:

He says "I drive in the real life... In this video, I drive GT6 to the Logitech wheel. There is a lot of power of road [rough/awkward translation] and course [race/circuit]." That alone is great news!

Also, does anyone else see how close the Toyota GT86s are in that video, at the start? :D no more driving for an hour to get to the lead...

He did say something quite unique though in that he drives with just his left hand on the steering wheel in real life, so when he sees the two hands on the wheel on the screen he 'knows' it's not him driving!

Honestly I am disappointed aswell, as expecting at least a new trailer. Anyway we were warned yesterday, I don't remember who but he did say to wait until Monday morning when embargo lifts.

Slip? Well at least I have something to look forward too now.

This. Everyone in the other thread is having a huge meltdown all because the Sony Presentation was more of a gameshow-esque format.
